Majestic Minima is in the perfect location for my visits. It is clean, comfortable and has extras which I find very convenient (cutlery & crockery). I had a couple of issues with my room initially, but they were rectified as soon as practical. The staff were all very helpful. Housekeeping even very kindly found me a softer pillow at my request! The laundry and vending machine were welcome assets this stay.

I was concerned with my late flight that I might have to get my Taxi to stop at Tynte Street prior to my destination, which would have been quite inconvenient. However, my flight was on time & I managed to get across town quickly. Luckily, the staff at The Old Lion who kindly said they would wait a few minutes for me, weren’t delayed. The shower in my room was not pleasant. Water spraying everywhere. I did mention it, but it must have been difficult to rectify.

Beautiful painted feature wall. Arty, fun decor. Had a set of plates, bowls and cutlery. Kettle with tea and coffee. Bar fridge. Hair dryer, iron and board. Shower was nice. Sheets were clean. Nice lighting. Fast WiFi Check-in easy. Nice shared balcony space outside for guests, with a table and chairs. Would be a nice spot to work in the sun, overlooking Melbourne St. Handy location to parklands and restaurants. Very satisfied with my stay.

Balcony looked out onto a wall and driveway, but was very private. King-sized bed had a join in the middle.

Liked the quirky art on the walls and the proximity to so many cafes and restaurants. You could catch the free bus into the city or on a cooler day, walk in. Off street parking was available at $15/night.

Room was a little small for 2 people. Very tight fitting the extra bag somewhere you didn't trip over it. We stayed 4 nights and needed to organise ourselves very neatly to move about. Even then, we both stubbed our toes on the case stand. A side table on the other side of the bed would be handy.

Location. Accessibility. Laundry room.

Upon check in, I was given room with only 1 bed. I requested two beds at booking.com. I didn't want to sleep with my teen age daughter. They found another room, but I had to make up the extra bed, as housekeeping had gone home. 2ndly, I couldn't get the air conditioner to work and wasn't given any help. They didn't believe me, so I video-taped the AC NOT turning on. Front desk said they'd send someone up, but no one shoed up. Later, I accidentally locked myself out and waited for 30 minutes before someone could let me in. At that time, he showed me the AC had to be set on 18 degrees as the lowest and ONLY THEN, would the fan kick in. Too bad front desk couldn't tell me that or come over and fix when they said they would (they never came).

The room was basic, but clean and conformable, so just what I needed for a couple of nights. The location is great, with plenty of cafes near by and a pleasant 25 minute walk to the CBD.

The check-in procedure was not so convenient. There is no reception at Majestic Minima, so you need to check in at another one of their hotels around the corner. That's OK, but it closes around 9.50 or 10.00 pm in which case you need check in at a different location further away. Because I had a late flight I arrived around 9.50pm and there was miscommunication between staff at the two hotels where you check in, such that I had go back and forth between them, adding extra time and taxi charges, which as a bit of a pain. Also, the door to the room was wonky and hard to open.

The room was small but well set out and appointed.. it was extremely clean and very comfortable. The balcony was a welcome addition and the shower was lovely and the water hot. Small fridge, kettle and even an iron and ironing board supplied. The staff were very friendly, check in around the corner at the Majestic old lion. Was a bit different but again staff very friendly. Limited car parking on site but free parking after 6pm until 8am at the nearby Dunn Street parking. Easy access and lift access

Communication about the booking was very good from start to finish. Friendly check-in staff. Easy place to find. Parking was good unless you have a large vehicle. Room was very tidy. Room is very small, although king size bed was great and comfortable it filled 90% of the room. Aircon was extremely noisy so had to turn it off while sleeping. Bathroom extremely small, as was the shower, very clean except for the shower door seals which need mould removed. For the price it was good value and close to many restaurants and chemist and small shop for food etc. Taking all of this into account, we would stay again if they fixed the aircon, if possible.

Noisy aircon which had to be turned off during the night - luckily it wasn't too hot a night. Mould on seals of shower doors.v

For a getaway on a budget, it was a great choice. The location was really convenient, bars, restaurants and the zoo is close by. Check in is in another hotel around the corner, but really easy to get to, not a problem at all. The reception staff and cleaners were lovely. The bed was super comfy, and the overall state of the room was clean and simple. The WiFi and air-conditioning was fine. And the fact that it's a pink building makes it super easy to find, for you, ubers and for food delivery services. The artworks on each individual room was amazing and my daughter was so in awe of it and seeing the variety of artworks. 9/10.

The only minimal problems was the mould in the shower lining, and the TV set up is a little out dated. But that was only if I were to nit-pick.

Great location, comfy bed, clean room, quiet.

Room was a bit on the small side for 2 people, but the king size bed took up a lot of space. I was really disappointed to get the room with the football mural as I'm not a football fan - sport is constantly prioritised over the arts in government funding which frustrates me to no end, so I was not happy when I saw we got this room out of all of them. My husband - on the other hand- thought it was hilarious as he works in sport!
