If there was a higher score than 10 this hotel deserves it . Tracy and her team were absolutely amazing and nothing was to much trouble . Everyone so so friendly . Tracy makes the best hot chocolate 🤣. Food was excellent . Wd ate in the restaurant 2 nights , food was very good and tasty . Breakfast was also excellent . The lodge looked so pretty as it was all decorated for xmas and playing all the Xmas songs really added to it . Don’t be put off by the dirt track drive down to the lodge it is so so worth it . Thank you Tracy and team for an amazing stay . Also in the evening they feed the wild animals which was so lovely to see .

Location, all meals had at the restaurant were excellent and the chalet we had was very comfortable and clean

We spent two nights there, and ordinarily, if you stayed one night, it would not have mattered, you would not have been any wiser, and I'm not complaining as all meals were excellent. However, this is feedback to the chef. We had ordered arrancini as entree and we received 4 balls, and poached pear which was a whole pear for dessert the 1st night. The other couple ordered the same the 2nd night and and the arrancinis received were 3 and the pear was no longer whole but only half a pear. It was all very delicious, however, this says that there is no consistency in this area.

I really loved how I was able to disconnect from everything when I was there. I could purely enjoy my stay in a lodge and in the forest!! I arrived too late for dinner. However, the breakfast exceeded our expectations, and just the vibe and building where we had our breakfast were so nice. I loved it so much!! I would recommend people to arrive to the accommodation before dark so you won't get lost like us hahaha

The only thing I didn't like or struggle with was the location. Because we arrived at the place late at night, at 8pm, the surroundings were pitch dark, and we couldn't see anything without our car lights. I think GPS (Google Maps) told us another way to get to the accommodation and led us through a dark, muddy road. Luckily, we both got skeptical and did not head into the muddy road. We were able to find the right location as we drove a little further down to find the signs. Other than that, everything about this accommodation was amazing!!

This place was FANTASTIC! The value for money is incredible. We had a room that included a spa and even a massage chair which wasn’t expected! The gas fire was super warm and the whole atmosphere was great. Felt like a very fancy resort which we weren’t expecting! The staff were incredibly friendly - especially Cosmo! The food is 10/10 and great value for money. The lodge is very gorgeous and the walking tracks are well maintained with beautiful views! Very close to cradle mountain as well. The games room is a nice touch as well in case it’s bad weather.

Beautifully located, well maintained, and super friendly staff. The facility is great, the availability of a game room keeps young kids entertained. The breakfast provided is excellent. I heard not all rooms have access to WiFi, we were lucky to be put in a room that has very good connections. I had the best sleep in the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and will surely come back again!

They need to do a better job with the food. Dinner was just not at the level i expected for the price and the cost of the accomodation. I will return because of how beautiful the location is and bring our own food to cook in the chalet. Breakfast was ok just but they need to improve their food alot more . The chalet heating needs to be adjusted, defintiely hot enough but it needs to be zoned and you need to be able to turn down the fan.

The location is superb! We did the Big Tree and the River walks - the tracks were very well maintained with clear signage that made it easy to navigate. The retreat is very well set out - our cabin allowed for privacy and easy access to the main lodge for dinner and breakfast on departure. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was scrumptious and sitting by the open fire for a post-dinner tipple was just gorgeous!

We liked our cabin but felt that it was a little dated and did not fit with our expectation of a 4-star rating. It was comfortable and very clean but seemed a little sparse e.g. we would have liked a coffee table in the lounge room to place our drinks but the TV was sitting on a table against the wall. The updated bathroom was very nice!

The seclusion of the property provided peaceful nights. The room was spacious, the fireplace provided ambitious heat. The meals were very nicely prepared.

The ~30 minute drive from the main road to the property was a bit of an anxious experience for us. A very narrow 2-way road w/ tons of blind turns & numerous potholes that our small SUV had to dodge made leaving the property an unanticipated effort. And the meals, although beautifully prepared, were not always a satisfying size to satiate hunger after a hike-driven day.

Fantastic location and atmosphere. Great walks and opportunity to experience the wildlife. The rooms were clean and warm, a big plus was the massage chair. A key highlight were the pademelons, which gathered at the back every night for feeding.

The only downside was the food, specifically the dinner, not as high quality considering the price point ($30 - $49 for mains). The breakfast was decent quality. Since this place is so remote, it's realistically the only option. If we had a kitchenette, we would have made our own dinner instead. We would 100% go again, but we'd pay the additional money if there was an option for a kitchenette.

Our stay was a real highlight of our trip. The cabin was exceptional with spa bath and massage chair. The bed was super comfortable. Looking out on the bushland from the balcony was very peaceful. We loved dinner in the lodge restaurant and feeding of wildlife after. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend arriving in daylight as the road to the retreat is approx 10km along a winding dirt road. Worth it though. Easy enough during the day but could be scary at night. Loved our stay ❤️
