It was exquisite!!! After 35 years I returned to Guatemala, I remember this place to be my escape to pray during the civil war. I cried of memories walking the grounds. It is was so beautiful!!!

We had a fabulous stay here really lovely room and you could light the fire when cold in the morning Hotel was amazing as were the staff It was walkable to all the sights restaurants etc You had sweets delivered to your room every night We had the opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace on our last morning and we could see the volcano Would recommend staying here it is expensive but if you like a bit of luxury All staff friendly and always said hello

We had breakfast included but you couldn’t have fruit it was an extra cost which we didn’t think was right considering how much you pay for your room

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The room was amazing- the nicest we’ve ever stayed in! The bed was so comfortable and the bath was huge. We will definitely return.

This place is like a piece of heaven on earth , not only because its exceptional beauty , tranquility and comfort ; but the way you are treated . The person that I have to recognize the most is Ariana, at the front desk. She showed us compassion, gave us all the support and made us feel confident that she will try the best to rescue and bring to us our passports and others valuables we left at the other hotel in Guatemala City. She made possible that all our documents were kept save there until a pilot from the Convento Hotel brought all of them to us a day after. Ariana became our angel , but she was not the only one. El Convento Hotel at Antigua is full of angels , they are the ones who makes this place unique

The room was nice, I had a workstation, which was great for me as I was working during my trip. The bed was comfortable, and I absolutely loved the shower(this was my favorite 😍 The breakfast was great! Grounds were beautifully kept, and the staff was nice. Loved the location of my hotel. It was very central, peaceful, and close to most things I felt safe at the hotel!

It did get hot one of the nights, and there was no fan in the room. It'd be great to have a ceiling fan or an optional standing fan. Iron/iron board was not included in my room (I'm not sure if that was mentioned in the booking, if it was I won't fault them for that) they were able to provide one when I needed it.

It’s a haven on peace and tranquility the perfect place to relax in and close enough to the main attractions of Antigua that a short walk gets you to the centre.

My only negative comment is that my terrace was really noisy due to an air conditioning unit and the air conditioning in my room didn’t work. I did not need it But Sitting outside was very loud.

This is one of the rare hotels that is actually more beautiful in person than it appears in photos. The architecture, the gardens, the terrace, the sitting areas, the candlelit walkways at night - just gorgeous. Every staff member that we interacted with was exceptionally friendly and helpful without coming off too formal. Our room was spacious and perfectly dark and quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious and enough to hold me over until dinner. It may be on the pricey side for Antigua, but for us it was well worth every penny!

Beginning with the check-in experience - the staff were friendly and helpful at every step. They have someone working the front desk 24 hours., as well as someone at the door. The room was gorgeous, every detail was fantastic. Our room included a gorgeous patio with a fountain. Including the breakfast with each room is a great touch because the food is off-the-charts good.

There isn’t much not to like but if I have to pick something, it’s the price point. It’s definitely one of the pricier options in the city and with good reason. The devil is in the details - attentive staff, a delicious menu, and gorgeous rooms immediately let you know the money is well worth it.

We had an outstanding stay at this gorgeous boutique hotel. The architecture and decor were stunning. The staff was attentive and went out of their way to cater to our needs. Arianna helped me organize transport for our next destination (Lake Atitlan) by making a number of phone calls and following through. The room, with a super comfortable bed, a fireplace and our own little private garden was one of the best we have ever stayed in. The breakfast food was delicious and served in a beautiful setting every morning. We shall return.

We loved every second of our stay.

My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The staff was incredible, we arrived late at night and they waited on us to show us to our room. They were quick to help us any time we needed them during our stay. The entire place was well kept, clean, and beautiful and the location within Antigua was perfect. We explored the city on feet two days. We also had great Breakfasts each morning during our stay. If we travel back to Antigua we will be staying here!
