Great location, close to Penn station for easy access by the LIRR straight from Jamaica station at JFK. Less than 5 minute walk over to the hotel from Penn.

The additions of a daily credit to be spent at the hotel, up to $35 debited to be used in hotel but due to pre existing plans, it is not always possible to utilise this “credit” but it is added to the bill whether yard or not. Hidden cost.

Excellent location and comfortable bed.

Phone did not work in the room. The restaurant is very small and the tables are so close together people could not even fit through without moving their neighbor's table so they could squeeze by. We had to wait in line for quite some time. We went once and didn't go again. There certainly was no physical distancing in the restaurant and it is way too crowded to feel relaxed or even comfortable.

Loved the location felt safe with door man. Beautiful decorated rooms were very clean and good size for New York. Restaurant was nice very limited menu. Close to everything, great gym.

Hidden fees. I had called earlier to change type of room was told they did change room when arrived it had not been changed and added fees were applied by the time my 800 weekend room was done it became 1200.

Good location and helpful personnel.

The description of what was available for the room did not correspond with what we got. They updated us but still it was not what the site at booking said we had. Breakfast that was pre-paid only gives us few choices, so after 3 days it was kind of boring and quite limited. The hotel charges an extra $40 US dollars a day that was not explained at the booking moment. You can deduce it on your lunch and dinner but then you are stocked using their limited menu at the restaurant. We used their service of a car to go to the JFK. The driver charged us more than what was arranged at the hotel and said that we could pay by credit card and then charged us an extra $10 for doing the charge!

Liked the location. design of the hotel, services were good and quick, room size and layout were good and king bed was more than comfortable ( for the upgraded room only. The Queen/double was poor)

I didn't like that after booking a Queen room (with very flattering pics on site) I got the smallest room, double bed, with small shower, noisy AC, on first rooms floor (floor 3), no view, noise and scaffoldings literally on my window, and someone walking near it. I asked to be upgraded @ HiltonHonors rate and they agreed, so it get better, but originally I would have been very unhappy with the choice.

The location was convenient in terms of proximity to the Subway as well as walking north and south along 5th, 6th, 7th Aves or Broadway. The location is also near the pedestrian areas with tables and chairs put in by the Bloomberg Administration. The Martinique bar/grille had a charming and cozy atmosphere, great service and a delicious crudité dish with humous which I ate twice. The room was perfect for one and had a decent view. The hotel also gives a discount of $40 against any money spent in their restaurant. I also liked that it is located on the Korean Town street with its interesting cuisine. Just don't try to eat there on Friday night!

The hotel is in a great location in midtown Manhatten, staying in this hotel means that you are in a short walking distance from many popular touris spots like Madison Square Garden,Time Square, Empire state building and many more, and for the the further places you have a subway station near the entrence to the hotel (about 45 seconds away) The hotel is located near Herald Square ,the atmosphere in the area is always allive and the street feels safe even late at night. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated and has nice feeling to it, the building itself is also looking nice. The staff is nice and polite and tries to help with every request. There is a security guard checking the entrance after 10PM which adds to the feeling this place is safe.

The room was a little smaller then what I expected

Easy in-n-out. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Room, bathroom and all common hotel spaces very clean and well-kept. Convenient parking garage across the street. We used to stay in the Martinique regularly before COVID and before completion of the renovations. The renovations are truly wonderful.

The 'destination fee' of $30.(?) We were in NYC for only one night to meet friends for dinner and drinks, attend a play, and for brunch with our daughter on our way out of the city the next morning. So it was no consolation to us that we could have used the $30 'destination fee' for food or drink in the hotel. If you can't use it, the 'destination fee' is a room surcharge. [We are similarly in NYC at least 5-6 times each year. The Martinique is a delightful hotel oasis in the heart of the bustling center of the city, but we will be considering other options in the future as a result of the destination fee 'surcharge'.]

We got an upgrade on our room and it was beautiful. Large comfortable bed, iron, coffee facilities, lovely bathroom, a safe and a large room. It was very comfortable. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the menu was very good and food was lovely. Hotel is right across the road from Macys with subway stations very close by.

I honestly couldnt say anything negative

Check in staff was excellent. Check in and out went smoothly. I was given $40 in credits to spend at the restaurant or cafe. I didn't get to go to the restaurant because we were there for 1 night but i did use it at the espresso bar.

Window covered with plastic, you couldn't look out. Coming in at 10 pm the door man (security) seemed bothered that it took me a minute to remove my key from my purse. I wasn't expecting to have to show the key.
