No warm water coming out of the douche, tried everything. Very noisy beds :-). The breakfast… Coming out of a vending machine, not very warm/human being. Typical for the capitalistic word we live in. So I went to the grocery store and made my own breakfast. Better no breakfast than coming out of a vending machine.

The burrow is a unique space, really well considered decor. If you're looking for modern this isn't for you but if you want authentic accommodation it is ! The area is really quiet and relaxing but only a few minutes walk from the small town. We found a small local bar a couple of streets away. Nice to sit out and enjoy a cisk beer in balmy weather. The burrow staff were very friendly, I had great chats and laughs with Phoebe. I would definitely recommend it !! Top tips, get the 7 day bus pass at the airport, book gozo ferry online, visit Birzebbugia, lovely small beach, and Valletta, try the rabbit in the zitka restaurant, delicious !!! So much more I could add, the burrow offer great tips also.

Not a criticism of the burrow but there was a lack of restaurants in the area. The traffic lights café in the town is nice, we had breakfast there each morning. Great value too. If you get the bus to Marsaxloxx there are loads of restaurants to choose from on the sea front. There was no door separating the bedroom from the bathroom which was odd but we made use of the courtyard outside our room when needed 😁

The staff were friendly and even willing to provide information and sights to see around Malta. The charming room was kept clean all through our stay. The place has much more character than other local places to stay that have all become western amalgamations of each other. Leaving and returning is fairly easy with an electronic key system and no alloted times.

For those who are only traveling using the bus, the location is a bit isolated and will take some time to get in and out of for other tourist attractions, other than the Tarxien temples in the area. There are not too many places to dine out either since it is primarily residential only, so plan ahead. Still, this can also be an upside for couples or families looking for a quieter, more relaxing place to stay. Oddly there was no door or divider to the bathroom...is the only other thing I can mention. At least for room 2. Fine for couples but awkward otherwise.

Very good value for the money. Beautiful hotel.

We had to buy adapter for electricity. It's not something expensive but it would be nice if the hotel prepared few of them for the guests. We didn't have a hairdryer although there should be one in the room. We got it last day of our stay. The shower was nice, but not functional especially the door. So there was plenty of water around after every shower.

My dream was to spend a night in a prince's room in medieval Malta. Staying at The Burrow Guest House made that dream come true. Everything was perfectly clean. King size bed. Possibility of a tasty breakfast and delicious coffee. I rate the stay excellent! Communication with the Owner was immediate it seemed so great that I felt She was waiting for my call.

Location, interesting building, daily cleaning service. Reception was great. Very quiet except for guests but it's an old building so that is to be expected.

Very little light in the bathroom, shower cubicle was nearly completely dark and smelled musty. Black mould on corners of exposed beams in the bathroom. Wifi was flaky and slow. Kettle in the room but EU plug and no adaptor.

The Burrow is a charming building exactly as the pictures display. The room was nice, with a balcony looking over the suburb, and a shower that worked properly (both temperature and pressure), which seems to be a rarity in Maltese accommodation. They left glasses and a a bottle opener out downstairs so that I could really enjoy the balcony.

The Burrow's biggest problem is that Tarxien is simply not a great location; there were no open restaurants nearby. The bed was a bit too soft and deep and there was no possibility of breakfast: just a vending machine with a range of snacks. There were streets around where I managed to park a rented car, and good bus services into Valetta.

Zdravo concept of this B&B is lovely and so unique. It is kind of a fairytale. Comfy and spacious rooms with a nice bathroom and other common lounge room. It lacks some other basic stuff, in my opinion but overall YOU'LL GET SOME MAGICwith this one.

a beautifully restored Maltese terrace with great amenities, air con, and very romantic. we arrived after hours and remote check in was a breeze - the owner even came around later to check we were in on and then gave us some awesome recommendations for local eateries. Conveniently located near the airport but also to the Tarxien temples and Hypogeum. The town of Paola is also close by and a great place to meet locals. Would highly recommend and a shame we did not stay for longer!

Note that breakfast comes from vending machines, which we struggled with a little in the early morning, but this for covid measures
