Staff weren't very welcoming

We recently stayed at this hotel with my son, Stephen, and it was an unforgettable experience! The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning, creating such a magical and cozy atmosphere. Every corner of the hotel was aesthetically pleasing, and I couldn’t resist capturing beautiful photos and videos to remember the moment. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful service throughout our visit, everything was perfect. It’s a place where you can truly feel the holiday spirit, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Our staycation experience was exceptional. The decor added a touch of elegance, creating a welcoming ambiance. The service, from arrival to departure, was outstanding. The staff handled my luggage with care, ensuring a seamless experience, and I appreciated not having to worry about anything throughout our stay. Additionally, the highlight of our staycation was the stunning breakfast buffet. The array of delicious offerings combined with the beautiful presentation made it a delightful experience. The attention to detail in both decor and service, along with the delightful breakfast, contributed to a truly memorable stay.

I didn't like being told by the cleaners that we weren't supposed to be in the pool after 10 pm. We didn't notice the sign, assuming it was open since the door was ajar. However, the cleaner stood at the door and scolded us.

VERY MUCH ENJOYED OUR STAY, IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND TIDY IN OUR ROOM & WHEN IT CAME TO CHECKOUT DAY MY PARTNER AND I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE LEAVING JUST YET, WE WERE ACTUALLY CONSIDERING TO EXTEND OUR STAY ANOTHER NIGHT 😅 WE SOON THEN REALIZED WE HAD TO GET BACK TO REALITY. THE SOFITEL STAFF WERE ABSOLUTELY LOVELY, GREAT VIBES, ALWAYS WERE WELCOMING AND ALSO REASSURED IF THEIR WAS ANYTHING WE NEEDED JUST TO ASK THEM . WE LOVED IT.

location was great for walking around downtown area … great walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. absolutely loved the bed!!! spacious room! very clean

concierge made a huge mistake in reserving transportation to Airport and then blamed us for not double checking their mistake. I get it, I should have … however I trusted them since that’s their job! then they wouldn’t let us take the taxi that was out front but instead made us wait 30 minutes for the transportation they booked!! Did not offer any apology or discount… it was the worst experience to end our holiday

Room, facilities, cleaning staff, breakfast room staff, and breakfast, front forecourt staff all fantastic.

Front desk/reception staff substandard for the quality of the hotel, disinterested, no recognition of guests on entry. Really the only bad part of the entire experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbor. The location right on the water in Viaduct Harbor was perfect. The hotel facilities are excellent, including the room and spa. The breakfast buffet food selection was extensive and everything was wonderful. Finally, all staff were very helpful and friendly.

For the price, all expectations were met. Good view of the boats and bay. No problems at all, we very much enjoyed our stay. We will recommend this hotel to our friends and family. No problems at all.

The staff were super friendly, they had valet parking but let us drive our car into their parking lot (which was great as we did not want anyone driving our car). The room was a good size, we had a nice view and it was quiet. Nothing to complain about would definitely stay again!

I loved how spacious our room was but not the view from the windows as it was just alleyways and bud parking lots. I appreciate the staff for being courteous but there seemed to be a lot of newbies which did hold us up a bit when making requests or asking about something- it’s natural to have to train new staff but for them to be left unsupervised is the issue. The facilities were great we had a staycation so location was the most optimal and the spa and pool was amazing. We couldn’t find the sauna for some reason and the bar in the basement Lost Property was gone. Housekeeping was great, very courteous, generous, and thorough! We tried La Maree and the Wagyu steak was great especially if you order it with the truffle mashed potatoes. For breakfast you could select a hot meal and also have continental buffet (the meal is worth it but the buffet not so much).
