The hotel is so New York! It’s a jazz bar, movie cinema, cocktail bar and events venue in one. I loved the atmosphere, I only wish I had more time to spend at the hotel as you could literally just visit for that. The beds were so comfortable, and they have everything you need. Extremely safe neighborhood, looks like a movie set!

The receptionist was worried we would be bothered by the noise if we stayed on level 2 (closer to the noise of the jazz bar), but we barely heard a thing! Plus they have white noise speakers to drown out any sound. It didn’t bother me but may bother you if you are super sensitive to noises? Maybe not. Would love more vegan options on the menu. The closest train station has no elevators, so it’s tough with a big suitcase.

One staff member manning the restaurant check in was incredibly rude and unhelpful- she made us feel completely unwelcome and an inconvenience for simply wanting to sit down for a quiet drink in the bar. One evening during our stay there was a private event on which meant we couldn’t use the bar or restaurant- no advance notice given which would have been easy to do. Sting in the tail was the $34.99 “amenity fee” added to our bill on checkout- no mention of this anywhere before- apparently to cover the “free wifi”, “free water” etc?? we didn’t receive any complimentary water apart from when we checked in at reception. after a week long stay plus taxes that additional fee really mounted up and felt a bit like we were being ripped off…

Enjoy the difference in the hotel compared to others such as the jazz bar and stage in the centre.

Check in and checkout were with the same young lady who asked for email and cell phone each time (al though you would have provided these to her), and who told us our credit card had been rejected (it hadn't), but never called to tell us that until we came back at 11:30 PM. She wasn't knowledgeable but she sure was positive of her wrong facts. I know you can't change the size of the room, but one thing you can change is that silly alarm clock with analog clockhands. Just break down and get ne with digital indication bright enough to see at night!

Clean room, beds comfortable, somewhat quiet from outdoor noise. Air conditioning worked great, and there's a noise reduction (White noise) feature in the room. The Canal street Subway is a block away and very convenient and safe. We used the hotel Aero Limo service to LaGuardia Airport on a Saturday morning and arrived in 20 minutes.

The Jazz band is loud if you want to go to sleep prior to 10:00pm. The band sounded good but I'm not into Jazz music.

Location was ideal - some fabulous restaurants close by and subway a 2 min walk. I liked the big windows and open atrium, the atmosphere was lovely in the evening with the live music. Loved the idea of the cinema would have used if films had been more to our liking.

Welcome from the staff in the morning if you wanted just to sit in the lounge for a coffee and not full breakfast. Air conditioning in one room was ‘noisy’ but we should have raised this on checking in. One night very noisy but it was a few voices rather than the music. Having to pay for coffee pods - this is included everywhere else I have stay!😩

Location of hotel is SUPER convenient for subway lines and walking to many neighborhoods, including the one it's located in, Tribeca. Rooms are bigger than many at the same price point. There are is live music in the lobby which can filter up through the atrium to most rooms, but the built-in white noise machines in the room do an excellent job of masking the music wafting through the property.

As it was the Christmas holiday weekend, the hotel restaurant seemed a bit understaffed and we ended up walking out of brunch as the hostess just could not handle the crowds properly. After waiting to be seated, we were given brunch menus. Then a few minutes later, those were practically ripped out of our hands and replaced with lunch menus. After more waiting and not being greeted, poured water, or even acknowledged by any service staff, we walked out. Unfortunate, but probably the trend with many hospitality industries that are understaffed and staff is overworked.

Aesthetic! Absolutely cool and gorgeous. Location was great - close to restaurants, coffee, trains. And shopping. Mini bar was stocked with everything. Extra very cozy bedding was quickly brought to our room. The rooms face an atrium that has live music until 10 on weekends. It’s not terribly loud. Really wonderful to sit and listen to and have a drink.

We stayed in a Roxy King room was a good size and very comfortable. I was however surprised that this room was the same size as the Roxy Deluxe King which we had stayed in on a previous visit. It would appear that the only advantage to the Roxy Deluxe King is that it is on a higher floor. I assume this is because there is live music every night and you are paying extra for Roxy Deluxe King as it may be better from a sound proofing prospective. Having stayed on the 6th and 8th floor I would advise guests to book the Roxy King Deluxe and save themselves some money.

We checked out at 4.45am to catch a flight back to the UK and were unable to see our final bill as this is produced by an automated system at midday. This means you leave the Hotel not entirely sure what you have charged to your room during your visit.

Gorgeous decor. Great live Jazz music daily. Wonderful bar. Helpful, polite staff, good location - easily accessible to all points in city

Very poor room sound proofing. Could hear loud traffic noise (even though on high floor), daily nightly noise from Live Music down below. Did not sleep well at all. Also the bed contained something very allergic to me. Not sure if it is the detergent they use or what. Ended up having skin allergic rash every night. Restaurant prices very expensive for the portion, even though the food was good.
