The size of the room was great and the location is fabulous for touring Reykjavik! Staff were all friendly and very accommodating! Breakfast was wonderful, a surprise for international breakfast in that it had lots of options and hot items.

The room was hot even though the heat was off. We could open one small window but was still warm. Also because we had the window open there was a lot of noise, screaming and arguing in the street at 3 a.m. This not fault of the hotel but we had to shut the window. Construction on hotel itself in afternoon when we were trying to nap.

Super spacious room - overlooking the City directly in front of us. Funky glass windows by shower area so you can shower while looking at a sunrise/sunset. Liked this hotel a lot. Perfect location for the City center - can walk to every and anything. Top tip - the ice cream parlour next to the hotel - is 10/10 as is the 24 hour supermarket.

Parking is extremely expensive if you are hiring a car.

Spacious and nicely furnished room, staff was very kind, comfortable large beds, great central location and good choice at breakfast and as a bonus - warm water did not smell of sulphur. But you pay for all of this of course.

Slight sewage smell in the bathroom. Nothing serious and since we only stayed for one night we did not even report this to the staff. Did not really fancy the postmix juice at breakfast nor the scrambled eggs (made from dried mixture), but there were also proper fresh hard boiled eggs. It would be great to have larger tea cups at breakfast and maybe larger selection of sweet pastries.

The hotel was really well situated, close to many bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The terrace view over the city looking out towards the main distinctive church was the real highlight as we were there for new years eve and could see the impressive fireworks display and the northern lights over the whole horizon.

The only thing we didn't know or missed was the terrace on the top is shared so neighbours can walk past the big window looking into the room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and bright and overlooked the square. Good variety at breakfast with attentive staff. A light not working was quickly fixed. Highly recommended overall and great location. Early coffee and croissants provided at 3.30 for our early flight to the airport was very welcome. Flybus to airport only 3 minutes walk away was handy.

The room was a little worn around the edges, the bathroom could have done with a revamp, although all worked fine. The door to the room was hard to close quietly so as not to disturb other guests. More mugs at breakfast rather than the small cups would be good.

The very best location that you could ask for. Cross the street to the main mall with great food, shops, and sightseeing. Perfect convenience store and gelato right next door. Fine restaurants and harbor minutes walk around the corner. The general bus stops to catch your coach, or the tour shuttle is just around the corner. It was December, and they even had a small ice skate rink set up as you entered the mall street. The rooms we're spacious, clean and modern. Bathrooms fantastic. They even had a locker system in their lounge to lock up your luggage if needed. Good staff and breakfast.

Loved everything

I really like this hotel. Have stayed here a bunch of times in the past. Just stayed here 3 times in 2 weeks because I flew to Northern Iceland for a few days and then Paris. It has a great location. Walk able distances to just about everything. Tons of restaurants. Rooms are beautiful, seems like they are always renovating them. And the breakfast is exceptional. Huge variety and the fresh breads are great. Staff is always helpful. They just did a major renovation on their lobby providing more seating.

They are getting almost too popular. They have a lot of tour groups. Sometimes the lobby is full of luggage or people checking in or out. The bar and the setting area are kinda separated, so it's hard to figure out the ordering situation.

Excellent location, very central and in walking distance to the BSI terminal, the harbour, the big church and main shopping street. Friendly staff, and the rooms were very clean. Lovely lobby to sit and relax in, very cosy to sit next to the fire. Breakfast was great, lots of options and tasty food. Nice to have a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together.

The early breakfast was a good idea for the morning we checked out as we had to leave before general breakfast service started. However it lacked a little bit, just a few small croissants and bananas on offer. It would have been nice to even have some spreads available for the croissants and a selection of different fruits.

The location is fab! Right next to everything. We went with the higher priced room and it was amazing! On the very top floor overlooking the beautiful square. The room had plenty of space and was lovely and warm too. Bed was very comfortable and huge! (Superking) Tv had YouTube and English channels. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Taxi rank was right outside the front door so that was very convenient. Had an amazing stay.

there was an option for Netflix on tv but didn’t work and safe didn’t work either and water pressure in shower wasn’t very strong.

Room was hard to get and had to go different stairs to get there. Was near a restaurant and music played until 11pm no big deal for us but somebody else?.. excellent breakfast included
