The Hostal Aerosol is in the middle of Madrid. All the point of interest can be reached in short walks. The Sol metro station is 2 minutes walk from Hostal Aresol. I arrived there from Madrid airport by metro within 40 minutes. The Hostal is in a beautifull old and very well kept building. I stayed in a single room which was not big still very comfortable, I had enough place for everything. Room and bathroom were perfectly clean. The hosts speak English and are very helpful. I could storage my lagguage till late afternoon there before starting to the airport.

Everything was beyond mys expectations to be honest. I stayed i Hostal Aresol just for one night, dueing the weekend of the Champions final and it was the accommodation with the lowest price still available. 68 euro for an ensuite single room in Puerta del Sol is as good as it can get. Everything was clean, wifi was strong, bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. As others mentioned, you can leave your bag for free at the reception until 3 pm of the day of the check-out, it costs 5 € to leave it after that.
The rooms and corridoors have wooden pavements so maybe you might hear other guests moving around (not my case, i slept like the death)

Situated in an old style apartment building with one of those fabulous old fashioned elevators that go up the centre of the stairwell, the hostal is in a great location just a few steps from Puerta del Sol so ideal for walking or catching the metro or cercanias trains to see the sights . The staff were friendly and helpful, booking a taxi for my really early departure when the reception would be closed (he turned up a good 10 mins early!) The room and all other areas were immacualtely clean. Nice selection of toiletries in the bathroom.

The location was superb, it was comfortable, affordable for the location and the staff were helpful. The room we got was 2 twin beds; overlooking a quiet courtyard which was nice given how loud Madrid can be at night. Our washroom had a tower warmer which came in handy to dry our clothes from some hand washing.
Just having to use stairs vs the tiny tiny elevator. It is 4 flights so it wasn't too bad but something to be aware of. We were also situated at the very end of the complex which isn't too bad for noise. The receptionist barely spoke any English so we relied on our Spanish and Google translate but they were still very nice and wanted to help us. Lastly the key system was a tad confusing and getting in to check in the first time wasn't as easy but it wasn't too bad either. These are all minor things and something that we did not mind but just wanted other people to be aware of.

The proximity to all things to see in Madrid was within walking distance, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and remade every day.
We would have loved a bar fridge.

The location is perfect, just steps away from Puerta del Sol. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The table was quite useful. It’s not a fancy place, but a really practical one, where everything works well. There are plenty of nice breakfast options nearby, I recommend Taberna 4 Robles.
It would have been perfect if the room was just a little bit bigger, but this was not an issue for us. As a suggestion, a minibar to store cold/fresh stuff would be a nice addition to the room.

- I have a very positive experience considering that I stayed in a hostel. - They kept my luggage before entering the room because I arrived a few hours before check-in and my suitcase was waiting for me in the room. - The room was just like on the pictures. Was comfortable enough for one person, the bathroom is also spacious enough for a normal person (first of all, I mean the sink and the shower cabin, since in 3-star accommodations I have encountered very tight ones, even for a skinny person, so big plus for this) - My room faced the street and that's great because you have a small balcony and a view of what's going on in the city, but keep in mind that it also brings noise, especially in the morning hours, because on that side is the technical entrance to the shopping mall El corte ingles and trucks are quite noisy with delivery.
- What I didn’t like is that there is nylon on the bed under the sheets, I guess for what, but it really makes sleeping uncomfortable when you move during the night and everything rustles under you. - Athough everything is super clean in the room, the advice to the staff is to pay attention to the parts that may be used a little less (such as the hair dryer which was quite dusty on the top).

It is in the centre of Madrid for a good price. The room was small but there was everything you need.
It was a little bit difficult to find the accomodation.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and really nice. The location is super amazing, right in the heart of the city, 2 minutes walk to Sol transit center. The room has air conditioning! The host was very kind, communicative and helpful.
This isn't the fault of the hostel, but there is a lot of noise in the building. I could hear noise from the downstairs unit for most of the day and night. It sounded like a strange mechanic sound. I could sleep only because I used a white noise application on my phone.

This is a classical and typical "Hostal" in the Spanish style (a hotel, not a hostel), in an old, well kept building. You shouldn't expect modern luxury, just old-style hospitality, although the bathroom was renovated as compared to the last time I stayed there in june 2003. The real good part is that the hostal is at more or less 100m from Plaza de la Puerta del Sol, right in the action but far enough to avoid the noise.
Everything was all right.
