Excellent location right in the heart of Madrid. Very easy to get around and visit places of interest. Metro trains close by. The apartment was spacious and had plenty of room for luggage. We loved the balcony that overlooked the bustling city st, the air conditioning was much appreciated due to the warm weather and the kitchen was adequate for our short stay. It was a bonus having a lift in this older style building given that we were on the 4th floor and had two suitcases to manage.

The entrance to the building was rather disappointing and looked drabby. There were mattresses resting up against walls on each floor, there were rubbish bins on one of the floors, overflowing with rubbish for several days until it was emptied. This created an offensive smell and made the property look 'uncared for'. Other bins and cleaning equipment was visible as you walked up the stairs.

The location is super convenient and the rooms are quiet in the center of the city. The apartment is super big with a lot of spaces for my family. My kids love the historic lift. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They take good care of customers and do as much as they can to help people. I definitely recommend and will come back again!

It will be great if there is a shampoo and soap holder inside the shower.

The location is perfect for a visit to Madrid. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The apartment is excellent and much larger than we were expecting. We loved the quirky old style lift though you might have to wait a bit at peak times :) We will definitely come back here next time we visit Madrid.

We had to pay for early checkin/late checkout which I understand is normal these days but does seem excessive.

I highly recommend this place. Check-in was seamless. The people at reception provided great service and assistance, even helped us with our luggage upon check-in. We were impressed by the key system and the technology used to access the building and apartment - no physical keys needed, just your phone. Perfect location! Walking distance to main attractions. Apartment is clean, spacious enough for our party of 6. It also has a nice big terrace.

Apartment could benefit from some upgrades, especially in the kitchen with newer furniture. Customers could also benefit from some complimentary coffee or tea given the kitchen is fully equipped with a kettle, fridge, toaster, etc…

Amazing location in Madrid for travellers! Very walkable between the major attractions in the heart of the historical centre (less than 20 mins walk between the palace, main square, museums, etc.). A good self contained unit for the price point (having the kitchenette was fantastic for making easy lunches to take with us to eat between tourist attractions). Having a balcony to see the street was an absolute bonus. Great key/lock system (through the phone) where you didn't have to worry about losing a key/keycard. Still has a functional lift despite the age of the building, which was a relief being on the fourth floor. Friendly staff who helped us with all our enquiries.

A little wear and tear to the bathroom (to be expected since the building is on the older side), but otherwise fantastic accomodation.

The location was great! You can walk to the main attraction of the city. A lot of restaurants nearby where you can eat, and enjoy a beer. :) Very close to the Sol Metro station. The host was very nice as well.

The fact that they did not clean the room, saying that if you stay less than 7 days they'll not make the cleaning. I did not expect a daily cleaning, but when you're staying 5 days, at least one cleaning must be made. Also, I did not like the fact that I had to take the towels to the reception to receive new clean towels. :(

The location is excellent. Everywhere is walking distance. The apartment is very clean (very important!). The kitchen have the basic equipment to cook a simple breakfast or make a sandwich. The vintage lift is exotic and fun. We had an exterior studio apartment which has a classic Spanish balcony. It allows you to have a glimpse of the street. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend it but don't expect anything beyond the basics in terms of the facilities and the decor.

The convenience, location, security of the place and the view! I am a solo traveler, first time in Madrid and booked Apartamentos Mayor for 2 nights and I can say, 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Front desk was very courteous and welcoming, even walked me to my place and the security of the place was top notch! The place was very clean and warm, complete with kitchen items, blowdry, toiletries and bed was so comfy! Located in the heart of Madrid, everything is walking distance! Love everything about this place! Would always rebook Apartamentos Mayor when in Madrid.

Very central location, just off Puerta del Sol, so I could walk almost everywhere. Being so central it wasn’t the quietest, but with windows and shutters closed it was ok. Kitchen facilities were fine, but no basics like salt, pepper, oil, coffee, tea. The bathroom actually had space to put toiletries and clothes! Not the biggest shower, but plenty of hot water. The staff was very nice, helpful and responsive. I liked the WhatsApp based key system; no need to haul around keys or key cards. The wifi was ok (I used my SIM card wifi as it was faster).

Everything was basic, but very adequate.

Super location, just a couple blocks from the Puerto de Sol. We used the Renefe train to get most of the way to our lodging and walked those last few blocks. Being in the center of Madrid allowed us to pop back into the apartment throughout the day to eat and rest. The entrance door to the apartments is flanked on the sides by an always open mini-mart and a bakery, so easy to get food. A great value for the location.

Great property, we just had some challenges getting their check-in web page to accept and submit our answers. Not a major issue, it just slowed down our check-in at Hostel Madrid.
