Easy self check in, full shared kitchen and living room, quiet, pleasant neighbourhood. Room was large and comfortable. Neighbourhood food, drinks, small market close by. Very close to the Royal Mile area and Colton Hill. Great value for the location and facilities.

Could use a bit of 'lip stick' as the linens & lamps were a bit done, and the shower area needed some work. A proper dispenser for soap and shower gel would be an improvement. It was pitch dark when we arrived, and the stairs were steep with no lights, so that was a bit of a hazard for me. Having said that, it was great value for money spent.

There are three rooms in the flat and we stayed in the Paris room. The entrance was a bit tricky to find but once we saw a plaque for the ApartHotel it was obvious. Accessing it was easy, and there was a pleasant smell upon entering. The room and bathroom are very clean and nicely decorated and ready for us with towels on the bed and extra blankets provided in the closet. Beds were comfortable and clean with multiple pillows. The location is in a great area with nature and views around and an easy 15 mins walk from the center. The kitchen had all cooking equipment provided in the case of long stay with coffee, sugar, and milk powder provided. The common living room is spacious (couches, coffee table, dining table) and welcoming. Would 100% be staying here again, perfect for couples.

The radiator wasn’t working. There were alternatives though (2 small heaters) which did the job well. The Paris Room door is located behind the entrance door which could be a bit annoying.

Fantastic large apartment in a quiet area of Edinburgh. An easy walk to bars and restaurants, buses and the tram. Marcos was great on our arrival and allowed us to put bags in and fill the fridge even though we were early Kitchen was well equipped for the essential “big breakfast”.comfy lounge and comfy beds. I would recommend this apartment to all groups of six adults, whether three couples or six friends.

We stayed in the Oriental suite, and the bedroom is absolutely stunning. Very modern. The bed is very comfortable & cosy. Huge shower. Had everything needed in the kitchen. Very clean, too. Also, I had an issue with my train tickets. The lady Sav of City Retreats allowed us to stay an extra few hours until my tickets were processed without charging me. Very lovely lady. We will back without a doubt.

There is absolutely nothing I can fault for this accommodation.

Great location, comfortable room, well-equipped kitchen, pretty back garden, lovely common room (for all guests staying in the apartment), helpful staff, with whom we only had communication via email or the booking.com chat platform).

The heating was left on for some reason. As the on-off button does not work, we had quite a warm room. But we managed to repair it and turn off the heating in the end.

It’s in a great location, clean room and really comfortable beds. Staff were quick to respond to any questions I had via email, self check in was very easy.

There were just a few very small things that may need a touch up in our room (the Moroccan room) - the door handle was a little loose but still functional. Nonetheless a great place and absolutely would stay again!

Wifi had no internet connection, so there wasn't really any Wifi. The door to the bedroom was very stiff in the frame, took a lot of effort to open and close, and made a lot of noise in doing so. The towel rail in the bathroom didn't heat, which meant that towels were cold and took a long time to dry. But these all felt like minor things and didn't take the shine off a great visit to Edinburgh.

Well equipped twin bedroom with great shower and bonus shared kitchen / lounge area made for a very comfortable stay. Clear instructions for an easy self check in and out. 15 minute walk into town, quiet at night. Great value for money, would stay again no hesitation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. Since the place was right in the centre of Edinburgh, it was a great starting point for exploration. Premises were always clean and the amount of room was very adequate. The street on which the accommodation is placed is quiet and less than 10 mins. from St. Andrew's Square. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and would happily return next time.

The only downside, although it was very minimal, was that our room was on the other end of the house from the living room (French cottage) and the bathroom, which meant a bit of discomfort when attending morning hygiene routines. However, it was not too much fuss, just slightly inconvenient. Furthermore, looking at the current situation in the world, we would suggest renaming the Russian room to something else (it is joined with the French cottage room, why not call it the French room?). It was not too much bother to us (although sleeping under Kremlin was weird), though we can see it may be disheartening to some other guests.

The staff friendly, the property very near to the city centre, kitchen clean with cooking utensils. Home away from home. Bathroom smelling nice.

The size of the twin room with the outside bathroom . Swiss Lodge. Is a little bit small. The carpet from the downstairs to the staircase upstairs could be changed.
