A very comfy and quaint mansion like hotel situated in beautiful surroundings. Although a bit on the small side, the rooms at the top floor were very comfy, clean and had all the necessary facilities. The staff are worth an extra mentioning. It' s a family run hotel and they are extremely kind and helpful. Special thankyous to Suzie ! And... We found the hairy coo vase online haha. The food is worth a mentioning as well. The dinner was absolutely great and make sure you include breakfast during your stay, you simply cannot go wrong anywhere there.

Hardly worth mentioning, but dragging our (big) suitcases up 3 flights of stairs with a very narrow one at the top haha. We read about it during the booking but the 3rd flight was still a bit of a surprise.

Perfect location, wonderful landscape, kind staff, delicious food, very quiet place

No elevator, very narrow and steep stairs especially to the second floor (one of our friends almost fell while carrying his luggage), too expensive for such small rooms without a wardrobe and no breakfast included. The washbasin was cracked, and we were given only one tiny bottle of shampoo and body wash for two nights even though the room was for two. I wonder what I would have done if I had had long hair. Also, I did not like the fact that there were two mattresses on a double bed.

We were tired when we arrived early and surprised by the proximity to the highway. As soon as we entered the doorway our apprehension melted away. The front desk manager explained that our room was not quite ready and directed us to a very nice walk across the road and along the beautiful river. When we returned, the lovely twin room overlooking the river was immaculate and very comfortable. The heavy drapery and absence of nighttime traffic made for a quiet and very restful night's sleep. The food was excellent, both Highland game and island seafood made for delicious choices. Top notch on the way to the Isle of Skye.

Nothing.

The bedroom room was small but comfortable and actually, very cosy. Everything was clean and looked fresh. The bathroom was a good size. Breakfast was pretty good and the smoked haddock was particularly so.

We arrived minutes before the front door was being closed at 10pm. The initial welcome was not as warm as it might otherwise have been, which was a pity. We almost felt as if we were intruding. Service was subsequently warm and attentive. We had just driven from the Western Isles and given the size of the bathroom, it was a pity there was neither a bath nor a bidet. Towels were on the small size.

Location was fantastic, beautiful scenery all around in a great historic building with lovelydecor, the staff were friendly and welcoming, food was gorgeous best of all the Scotland places we visited from Edinburgh, along the NC500 route and Skye and back again to Edinburgh.

No elevator rooms were on the top floor, access to the bathroom extremely awkward and the toilet was up against a too large a radiator for the room size when in use, the only bad thing I can say about this wonderful hotel.

I have been staying here on and off for over 20 years and regard it as one of the most appealing hotels going. Having not been here since before the pandemic, I suppose I might have been concerned that it would have changed for the worse...but it hadn't. Still a lovely experience. Nice cosy room, pleasant staff, great location and generally a lovely feel about the hotel. In previous times I would aim to be down for dinner nice and early to have a drink in a corner of the lounge - this time was lucky enough to sit outside after a glorious day in the hills. Everywhere seems to be offensively expensive nowadays, but this is one of the few places where it doesn't feel as though you are being taken for a ride and paying a huge amount of money for something that would previously have been budget / coach party accomodation - somewhere which is geniunely a "premium" hotel. That said, I suspect that I got the "little room at the top of the stairs" at an unusually competitive rate, otherwise it would have been beyond what I could have justified paying in these inflated times. ...so if you see a price you like, it is to be thoroughly recommended; or if the price makes your eyes water, then it is probably the same price as everywhere else, but at least it is lovely.

Nothing that is fair to complain about (I mean the room is hot...well, it was an absolutely stunning day - it kinda goes with the territory, would you rather it was cold and miserable!?).

Very clean, well decorated, friendly staff, and a perfect location to see any number of things in the surrounding area. For us, it was close to Loch Ness, Eilean Donan Castle, Isle of Skye, Ben Nevis and Ft. William, Glenfinnan Viaduct, and Glencoe. The breakfasts were very nice. I was able to get a smaller room for just me at a very reasonable price.

I had a smaller room, which was nice. But I don’t pack light so there wasn’t a good way to get my heavy luggage up the small staircase to the top floor. The bottom floor and those rooms were easily accessible, but I had elected the smaller room up top and had the extra stairs. Perfectly fine for light packers, or if you can just take up a smaller separate bag.

Invergarry Hotel is a perfect stopping point between the Isle of Skye and Edinburgh. The bedroom was very comfortable and everything was beautifully clean. A lovely tray with coffees and teas was provided. We were really impressed with our delicious dinner and the service was lovely. Breakfast was also tasty and the portion sizes were perfect. I loved that breakfast was in another room to dinner. Parking is easily available on site, which is always something I look for in a hotel.

The only thing missing for me, and this isn't a negative in any way, was the absence of flowers and plants (the soft touches). No flowers in the restaurants, or in the bedrooms. I think this addition would take this hotel to another level.

Stayed here at really short notice due to a hiking injury. and what an absolutely brilliant find. Upon arriving, we were a little early in checking in and were made to feel welcome in either the brasserie, the bar or the sitting area within the hotel. It had a really warm feel to the place and we were made to feel very welcome as guests. Rooms were very comfortable and pristine. I really liked the bathroom which gave plenty of space. Food was unbelievable. Breakfast included in the price which was a nice touch, but some of the food was incredible. I will definitely be back. The bus stop for city link is right on the doorstep of the hotel which will make it useful for a return 😊

Due to the nature of it being an older building, you can hear a bit of movement from out with your room but this was minimal. The hotel was honestly fantastic.

Food was amazing...very authentic. I had the venison stew and it was excellent! My wife loved the fish and chips. More importantly Nigel and Morris were great hosts for dinner and Paul at breakfast! The rooms were very comfortable and quiet.

There is heat, but no AC in the rooms from what we could see. We slept with the windows opened which helped, but we did not have to deal with midges or other bugs.
