A really lovely boutique Hotel, very tastefully appointed and the most comfortable of beds. All the staff made us feel very welcome and looked after us extremely well. A very tranquil location, which is the perfect base for exploring the amazing countryside. The downside of this is that there isn’t much else nearby. But i guess you can’t have it both ways. Great parking.

Considering how amazing the rest of the Hotel and its amenities are, it was really surprising and disappointing to be charged £8 for a pint of Draught Tiger beer in the adjoined restaurant. This really needs addressing as it feels like profiteering and detracts from all the positives this Hotel has to offer.

Beautiful setting and decor, everything finished to high standards, food was amazing , very friendly staff and wonderful bedding and bed

Everything was on the expensive side £7.50 for a pint of Guinness out of a can and £21 for fish and chips (although very good 😊) The worst part for me for this level of hotel was tea and coffee in the bedroom especially coffee just poor quality sachets would expect something better than this for this level of hotel . Also the toilet was very noisy when flushed and the hopper for the gutters outside was full of leaves so overflowing with water during the night

Room was good, staff great!.. breakfast was good, and we also had our evening meal there which again was great! Overall it was a great stay!

Shower in the room, couldn't get it to go hotter than warm... seemed to be mechanically limited.

Staff were very friendly and efficient at breakfast. It was lovely to come out of the shower onto the underfloor heating. It was nice to see the owners had tried to keep the room furnishings in line with the age of the building. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights so the staff got to know what we liked for breakfast.

A green emergency light just inside the room door impacted our ability to sleep. Staff addressed this the next day by partially covering the light. I understand safety and legislation but no other hotel I have stayed in has safety lights that are constantly on, it was like sleeping with a night light on. We were on the ground floor and the wooden floors are lovely but as the room above also had wooden floors we heard people walking in the room when they had shoes on or were moving chairs. Not sure you can resolve this if you want these features in a room though
