I've done extensive research to find hotels with the best locations in Manhattan. Last year, my wife and I stayed in the hotel across from the Prince Kitano. This time, we chose this hotel because it is situated in a similarly convenient location. I would personally like to extend my thanks to this young girl from Europe who assisted us during the evening that we arrived. I believe her name was "Taftka" or something similar to that. She helped provide us with the Junior Suite, making our entire week a very comfortable stay since the room I booked initially was quite small for me and my three adult children. We enjoyed the room and our stay so much that we are hoping to come back sometime next year to stay here again.

A water refill station would have been useful since we were there in the middle of summer.

The hotel is in a quiet pocket of Midtown (relatively speaking—it is NYC), and my room was super quiet (no noisy air conditioner, pipes, or electrical hums). Of course, there is some noise from the street, but there isn't nightlife, clubs, or repetitive noises as it's mainly residential. The view was lovely. The housekeeping staff is excellent, but the rooms need a seasonal deep clean, which needs to be booked outside of regular housekeeping. It wasn't up to my standard, but it was fine. It is super walkable to Grand Central and other tourist attractions. This is mainly a business hotel, so the guests are pretty chill and quiet. Honestly great hotel, would stay again happily.

No free WiFi. In 2022? In a $500/night hotel?? I thought it was a joke but apparently not. Free advice - Please change this policy immediately, you are embarassing yourself with this nonsense and causing alot of customer badwill and poor reputation

We liked everything at the Kitano Hotel in NY, the staff is friendly, the room was good size, good location, actually perfect location, we walked from the Hotel to every touristic point in NY with easy, Time Square, 5th Avenue, Central Park etc, and by the way we could see the Empire State through our windows, it was amazing. We did not have breakfast because we prefer to explore what NY offers as overall, however I am 100% sure that if the breakfast follows the quality of everything else at the hotel, I believe it will deliver a high standard breakfast. Thank you so much for everything, we are very happy! We will be back for sure.

Fantastic hotel, and the best location you could wish for. We really liked the location so much, very close to everything on mid Manhattan NY. Close to Grand Central, Empire, Fifth Ave, Times Square, Central Park etc. and close to many good cafes and restaurants (all with few minutes walking distance). The hotel staff was so nice and very service minded, very helpful, always with a smile. We extended our stay at Prince Kitano New York with 3 more nights and moved to rooms on a higher floor. These rooms were really great (newly renovated - and heated toilet seats :-)) with view to Chrysler building and the skyline. The hotel has a great roof top bar with a fantastic view to Empire. We really enjoyed the bar (and the food) here. The hotel welcomed me and my family so well after a bad experience we had elsewhere when we arrived in New York. Very helpful and flexible. Also great that we could store our luggage after check out on the last day, before leaving for the airport. We liked everything about this hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

Location, staff, and common spaces were excellent. The staff were especially friendly and professional. The lobby was beautiful, comfortable, inviting, and decorated for the holidays. We especially loved the aromatherapy scent in the hallways and heated toilet seat in our room!

Rooms need coffee station! There were only electric teapots with Taster’s Choice instant coffee packs. For the over $1000 we paid for one night i(Townhouse Suite) we expected Nespresso machines or, at the minimum, Keurig. It would also be great to have had Japanese toiletries like Shiseido to get an authentic experience that makes the Kitano more memorable and set it apart from other boutique hotels in the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Prince Kitano New York! Located within close walking distance of many attractions including Times Square. The staff was very friendly, and attentive and went out of their way to help us resolve an issue! The room was spacious, spotless, and very quiet. The bathroom was also spacious, the water pressure in the shower was exceptional, and the Japanese toilet was a nice addition. The rooftop bar was intimate and provided a nice nighttime view of the city. Our experience was beyond our expectations and we look forward to our next visit!

The woman who served breakfast every AM was wonderful! Charming, went above and beyond, always had a smile for everyone. I would hire her to run the place.

The room we had had 2 beds which I think is unusual. It was located in a dark area overlooking a roof with no view or much light. I think there should be more rooms with 2 beds for single people traveling together— there are a lot of us. I would’ve liked more choice of pillows- they were too soft and there were only 3 in our room. The shower was confusing snd had no instructions- the water was very hot so could not use it well.

We loved the Kitano! The staff were super friendly and attentive, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our room was spacious and had an incredible view of the Empire State Building. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring NYC, it’s a quiet street and felt very safe.

The beds weren’t very comfortable and on the small side. The carpet could have done with being cleaned and we felt the room could do with a little touch up in terms of decoration. It was quite tired and dated.
