The size of the room was very nice! It was spacious and clean. The location was also nice. It was in a central spot that made it easy to get to and from the tourist attractions around town.

Having to pay $50 for early check-in seems like a scam. The room was ready when we got there at 1. We had a suitcase that we didn’t want to wheel around the city, so we thought that was our only option. When we checked out, they offered to hold our luggage in case we wanted to explore the city some more. I would have loved that option the day prior, but instead they charged me $50 extra for a room that was already vacant.

Right near Grand Central so ideal for links to all the places we wanted. The room was a great size. Staff very attentive. Would definitely stay here again.

70 Park Avenue was pretty great to stay at. My daughter and I travel to the city at least once a year, and I’d absolutely stay here again. The staff were friendly and attentive in a genuine way. Like some others have said, it’s not the most updated hotel, but that’s not a big deal. The room was immaculate! I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels that seem to prioritize updates over cleanliness and it sucks. I was so impressed with how clean our room was. I also love that they provide robes, slippers, and large size toiletries. This makes packing light really easy. The soundproofing is super good for an NYC hotel and it’s literally a 5-minute walk to Grand Central.

The biggest downside was no working fan in the bathroom. It made getting ready a little annoying, but nothing major. I also couldn’t get my phone to cast to the tv so we were stuck with bad cable shows.

The location was great. No food, but plenty of restaurants around. Only 4 blocks from Grand Central Station and the subway line. The building was beautiful and well kept. Would definitely stay again.

Even something as small as an offering of tea and coffee would have been nice in the lobby. My particular room was small, but knowing how a lot of those older buildings were first built, it was okay. The bathroom was just the smallest part. It was hard to use the toilet, but this did not create an issue. Would stay again.

The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. There was a yoga mat in the closet! Water pressure was great, workspace convenient and the location was perfect for the event i was attending near Grand Central.

My room didn't have clear windows, which I like to have, they were frosted glass so when i was working in the room it felt a bit claustrophobic. I would have liked a magnifying mirror in the bathroom but that is a little picky, I realize. It was pricey but every hotel was that night for some reason. The nights before and after were much more reasonable.

The location was very good. It is near Grand Central, so it was easy to reach the hotel from the airport and also to explore Manhattan. The room was very clean and had quite a big bathroom for its size. Coffee machine was available upon request free of charge.

It wasn't possible to open the windows and the windows were covered with wallpaper. From the room itself, we couldn't see at all how the weather was outside. It was quite noisy, especially during the night. Some kind of vibrating recurrent noise was present, and earplugs couldn't help with it. Could be useful if the bathroom had shelves or something similar to put contacts, toothbrushes, or similar...

Excellent location near Grand Central on Park Avenue. Easy to get around in all directions via subway and ferry. Away from the Times Square commotion. Room was very clean and comfortable. It's much nicer than most NYC rooms and I thought offered a great value for what it provided. I even could see the Empire State Building from my window. Staff was courteous and professional from the front desk to the doormen to the cleaning staff.

Did not impact my stay whatsoever but perhaps have a coffee station in the lobby along with the water that was provided. That said, plenty of cafe's and bakeries nearby.

Although the rooms were exceptionally comfortable and the location absolutely perfect - a few minutes walk to Grand Central Station/5th Avenue etc. - the most stand-out thing at the Iberostar was the staff! Although we were in the middle of New York, where no-one really seems to care about anyone - the staff were so friendly, interested and helpful. Every request was promptly dealt with - and great suggestions from the doormen!

For us nothing could have been better. Previous reviews complained about no coffee makers/tea kettles in the room - but this has also been solved, and is actively offered upon check-in (not standard in the room - but available).

The hotel is very well located within Manhattan, close to Grand Central Station, Bryant Park and Times Square. When arriving at hotel the staff was so helpful. We were driving from upstate New York and we had to return our rental car, so we were expecting to leave our suitcases at reception, return the car and explore New York. When I told the receptionist the plan she checked if our room could be ready beforehand so we could just leave everything in the room. We managed to check in at noon and it was incredible. The staff really did go above and beyond for us during our stay. Even though the bathroom is small, the shower is incredible. The water pressure is the best one I have seen in any hotel I stayed in, so washing your hair is a great spa experience moment ❤️

Reception staff and doorman were very welcoming. Location of hotel is fantastic - quieter neighborhood and easy to reach other parts of the city and attractions. Room was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable.

Didn't like when we returned to our hotel room late and our door lock didn't work - keyless cards are great until the battery in the lock doesn't work. Had to wait for someone to come up and charge the battery, which took about 30 minutes total. Having food options, even just snacks to purchase, would have been nice.
