I booked it on booking.com, it wasn't mentioned that it will be extra charge with credit card, I was shocked being charged for some extra credit card fee on arrival.

Breakfast was fine, staff were excellent and lovely. The owner of this hotel should be very proud of his employees.

The Spa could do with a refresh and improvement, decor very tired and shower room not properly functional, this has nothing to do with the staff in the Spa. They are lovely and attentive, sadly you can only work with the tools your given.

Good location, walking distance to all the main places in Hanoi old quarter but at the quieter area, safe enough to walk around at night. If you go for day tours on weekend, sometimes the bus may not want to enter the street to pick up, although this street itself is not closed during the weekend nights. Friendly helpful staff, allowed me to store my luggage for a few hours before my actual stay as I was travelling to Sapa first, helped me to exchange my larger VND note into smaller change. Responsive over Booking messages and Whatsapp. Breakfast had a decent variety of food.

My hotel room door lock couldn't be turned to lock. Staff came to check and told me that the automatic key lock is working so should be okay. But would've preferred if there is another physical lock to be on the safe side.

The staff at the hotel are first-rate: very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is solid: good food. The room was very nice and clean. The location is excellent: in the heart of Old Hanoi and near Hoan Kiem Lake.

The pick-up didn't go well. I went to Pillar 10 at Noi Bai airport as requested and looked at every sign being held up but didn't see my name. Finally, I called the hotel twice and then the driver showed up. On my departure, I put in a 4:30 am wakeup call but didn't get it. Fortunately, the alarm on my phone worked just fine.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are in good condition and efficiently cleaned by the housekeeping staff while you're out. The breakfast offering is very diverse, and the staff strives to ensure a wide selection is always available. Noteworthy is the option to place individual orders such as pancakes or eggs with the breakfast staff, traditional Vietnamese dishes like Pho are also available. The hotel's location is extremely central, with attractions such as Hoan Kiem Lake or St. Joseph Cathedral easily accessible on foot. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity.

Second time in Hanoi - this is the best location in the city being in the heart of the Old Quarter. With just 5mins walk from the lake, best Bun Cha (Buc Cha Dac Kim - right around the corner) it’s hard to beat a stay here. Also the breakfast buffet had a great selection. Lastly - the hotel staff made our time here special. Mary and her colleagues are the most friendliest of hotel receptionists you can ask for - super thoughtful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable) - we forgot to wish them a Happy Vietnamese Women’s Day while we were there so we want to give our thanks and appreciation to the wonderful team at Babylon Premium made up of such lovely women. Our room was slightly to the small side without a view - but maybe that’s a Hanoi thing.

The location was really great, and the staff went above and beyond for us. We went on a Halong Bay cruise organised by the absolutely great hotel Mr Tony After we returned from the cruise we decided to stay another night and we were upgraded room to the 6th floor overlooking the street Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, and the Girls on the front desk are doing a fantastic job Great breakfast in the dining room each Day Well done to you all. We appreciate what you have us

If I'm going to have a moan, it would only be that the room we had first had no window to view outside. Given that these buildings are very narrow and high they probably haven't got many

Mary & Nam were a great help throughout the duration of our stay and very attentive! We wanted to start by saying this as I always got a lovely greeting from both of them. Room was comfortable enough, they had extra pillows in the wardrobe if needed. . Right in the middle of old town which was great as lots of food places and bars nearby. Staff were great in general. Breakfast was really good you could have what was out or ask for pancakes/omlettes etc to be made which was great as I am very fussy!

Our room had no natural light as the window to our room was also next to an outdoor staircase meaning we couldn't really open our curtain. The smaller shower head which can be removed from the stand was a bit broken, it wouldn't stay where we left it. The card key holder in our room was dodgy and sometimes when we came in, despite putting the card in and all the lights coming on, it would set an alarm off on the door which was very irritating!

Staff is very welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. Our rooms were spacious, clean and very cozy. The hotel and the rooms are exactly as the pictures on the website here and others! The location was excellent. There were so many restaurants and shops in the old quarter district near this hotel to be entertained by. The spa was able to fit us in it last minute. The therapists were very professional, the spa was clean and the cost was very manageable. The staff was able to accommodate arrival and departure transportation with a small fee that can be included in your stay. Breakfast starts at 6am and was fresh and had a large spread. We stayed December the week before Christmas.
