Very conveniently located, good option for people most focused on sight seeing. Easy to check in and out, deposit was released almost immediately. We were also able to leave our luggage after checking out. The room was clean and more spacious than we expected (although a bit awkwardly shaped), same goes for the bathroom. Useful amenities (hairdryer, kettle, mini fridge). Considering the prices in central Manhattan, this place offers very good quality - I honestly don't know why the review score is below 7...

The location was perfect. in peak of time square, it was exactly what we needed. To me, The bed was extremely comfortable but for my fiance whose a bit bigger, said he felt like he was sinking constantly into the bed. The room was clean and well put together. The decorations, the lighting features, the safe, and the comfortablility was amazing. Also in the room we were in, i couldnt hear anyone in their rooms, only if they were in the hallways. The employees were amazing and very attentive, they respected wishes, boundaries and helped me when i accidentally booked for the wrong night. Highlyyyy recommend

For starters, during our stay, the elevator was down, we barely wanted to leave the room because we dreaded walking up 5 flights of stairs. They were having problems with the elevator, elevators break, not too upset about it. Another thing, we had gotten food a couple of times, and had no microwave in the room to possibly heat some food up later. Also, the showers had no doors or full glass to protect the floor from being wet, i loved the look of it but everytime we took showers we would create a puddle. I also think maybe there should be a ice machine on one of the higher floors. I dreaded going down to the first floor to get ice.

Great location midtown, near Broadway and within walking distance of most attractions in Manhattan. Subway was about 4 blocks away, so pretty convenient too. Room was wonderfully cosy, and had mini fridge as well as a small kettle, amenities i didnt have at a more branded hotel at Grand Central, so kudos!

Lift was down when i was there, and the exterior looks a lil dodgy on the outside, bit dark in the corridor too. But for the price and location, it was really superb.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Location is only a couple of blocks from the subway, Times Square and lots of other key attractions. Room was basic, but very clean, comfy and quiet (most of the time!) so perfect for using as just a base to sleep. I would happily stay there again.

Temperature in the room is controlled by reception and could get extremely warm during the night! There was a noisy air conditioning unit attached to the wall in the room, but it would’ve woken everyone up if we’d had it on at 3am!

The staff, the bedding, the AC, water dispenser in the lobby for employees only that they let us use to refill our water bottles. They extended us a complimentary early check in which we really appreciated.

Lack of a window, thin walls, coloration on some of the bath towels, the elevator was a bit too small. The location is quite central and close to a few metro station and attractions, but midtown is probably one of the worst parts of the island, unfortunately.

excellent, simple no-frills service at a great price! we weren't looking for luxury, we just wanted a clean and friendly place to crash for a little weekend adventure, and the Doxie absolutely delivered. the staff was all very friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect. we'll definitely be back!

the halls/stairs/elevator are all very narrow, but i don't hold that against the Doxie tbh!

The Doxie Hotel is in a great location! Walking distance from time square and broadway shows! It is a bit hidden and a bit hard to find at first. The price for the location is beyond reasonable! The space for a queen size bedroom is a bit small but if you just need a clean and comfy place to sleep and will be out and about all day then this hotel is the perfect place! I will honestly book here again on my next visit! The two gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming! It’s a small hotel and they recognize their guest!

The Doxie Hotel is the best hotel I have stayed at! The staff was lovely & the room was gorgeous. Extremely clean & updated. I was in town to see Madonna at Madison Square Garden & it was a 5 minute walk away. I also took Amtrak & the station is right across the street from MSG, so it was all in walking distance! I will definitely stay here again. Thank You!

It’s around the corner of Times Square. Minutes away from the subway and many restaurants nearby.

It’s a narrow lobby hallway. A small elevator wherein only 3 people can fit in. The bunk bed is not stable and making noise when you move. There is no window to see the beauty of the Manhattan. No garage parking but you can park your car at the rental garage parking like 2 blocks away from the hotel. It costs you $110/night.
