The room was very comfortable and clean. The shower had probably the nicest showerhead that we'd ever used. We also loved that the hotel was attached to a Hussar Grill - we had some exceptional food there. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

There were renovations to the pool area during our stay - there was loud jackhammering happening outside our window for one of the days. We understand that these need to happen at some point or another so this hasn't impacted our overall rating, it was just unfortunate.

Absolutely everything! Staff are friendly and so accommodating they couldn’t do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. The facilities are outstanding the bedrooms are so clean and comfortable and lots of space. The pool area is just beautiful and we wish we had more time to spend at the pool area. The breakfast omg the nicest breakfast we have ever had in a hotel! The hotel is attached to Hussar Grill where you have your breakfast! We had dinner both nights here and honestly the food was outstanding! The staff and waiters they ate so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Honestly one of the best hotels stays we have ever had couldn’t recommend enough! Please stay here you won’t be disappointed.

An exceptional hotel all round. Great location, great restaurant, great breakfast choices, lovely outdoor pool area, low-rise, great room, good car park. BUT, above all of that, the one thing that truly stood out for us was the quality of the staff who all were very professional, exceedingly polite and friendly beyond comparison. Every single member of staff who we had occasion to engage with displayed all those qualities. An excellent hotel experience and I would certainly return there when next visiting Franschhoek which we most certainly will.

Very nice, upmarket Hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, modern and comfortable. They have modern power outlets everywhere. The bathrooms are modern and spacious. The “deluge-rain” shower is fabulous. The swimming pool surrounded with relaxing chairs and umbrellas. Parking is inside the hotel grounds and safe. Breakfasts are in the Hussar Grill. Breakfasts are a combination of buffet and you can order anything that you want. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Honestly nothing negative.

This is really picky - breakfast juice could be better quality - the fab coffee made at breakfast more than made up for it xx

Location! Location! Location! Right on the hotel's doorstep is the Hussar Grill, where you will be served breakfast (it is also accessible from inside the hotel) and can enjoy lovely lunches and dinners. Leaving the hotel, on the left on the Main Road, you are split for choice for food and drinks! The wine tram stop and kiosk, where you can buy tickets (there is also a shop), is on your right, 200 plus metres away. I walked everyday, morning and early evening, admiring the charming cottages and beautifully manicured lawns and well-kept gardens. The staff were wonderful. I had a problem with my membership number and they got right on it. I ordered the poached eggs for breakfast one morning, and they were superbly done! I stayed on the upper floor and enjoyed the balcony and mountain views.

Gorgeous breakfast , brilliant location and amazing staff. Lovely comfy beds and great huge bathroom with fab shower and bath. Will definitely be coming here again. Shops and restaurants on your doorstep or a 5. Invite stroll down the lovely quaint night street…..perfect location . Loads of free parking too.

The rooms share a patio that people walk past, so it would be good to be able to borrow or rent dressing gowns as the rooms also had lovely big windows …great for light but not so much for privacy.

Attractive hotel with central courtyard and pool and beautiful, spacious rooms - stylish and with good facilities. I liked the small touches eg extendable washing line over the bath. Staff very helpful and friendly. Dining experiences were fine and nice that the restaurant was open late.

Some of waiting staff were very inexperienced (but well supervised / coached). No shower caps in the bathroom. But these did not detract from a lovely stay.

Great stay. Some of the food at the Husar Grill was good and some average. Breakfast was generally good. Bathroom was good and clean. Linen and towels good quality. Staff very friendly and helpful. Outside area was also great even though the weather was not that good

Some guests were very noisy and door slams made us sit up quite a few times. Privacy not great because only big windows is in the passage were everybody gets access to their rooms. No table or seating area in room. Just a desk with chair and single couch.

The breakfast was excellent, and I was warmly welcomed by the attentive and courteous staff. The picturesque landscape of Franschhoek, with its New Orleans-like ambiance, was an additional highlight of my visit.

Room 20's bathtub was unusable due to a faulty plug that allowed water to escape, which was the only drawback during my visit. Also bathroom extractor fan was not functioning.
