Staff was really nice and always greeted when you left or came back to the hotel. Room was clean and large enough with private bathroom, cabinet, bed and TV. The hotel is located centrally in SF, we mainly used with public transportation during our visit. Nice bakery same street and around the corner) and restaurants nearby (Nob Hill).
Relatively close to Tenderloin, don't go in that direction by night. We had no issues during day time, but preferred to avoid it during the night. Single downside in the hotel: the towels were linting, so you had little white fluffs everywhere on your skin after use.

Staff was helpful and welcoming, we had our flight delayed and they accommodated our check-in without a problem. We stayed in two queen bedrooms and they did their best to have both rooms as near as possible, which was really appreciated. Bedrooms were a good size, and the beds were super comfortable, which was excellent after a day out visiting San Francisco.
When we checked in, we were notified of a required deposit per room that we did not know about. It was $300/room, which they reimburse at the end of the stay. However, not knowing about this deposit really affected our trip economics. Thankfully, the staff were helpful and we arranged it so that we were the least inconvenienced by it. Still, I believe it is important to let travelers know about this deposit in advance, since not everyone can pay such a big deposit, and paying it can really affect people's trip plans.

The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds i have slept on. The room was flawless, wonderful hot shower with excellent quality shampoo/conditioner. I especially want to speak to the lovely African American (i didn’t get his name) gentleman who assisted me during my stay, he is an absolute credit to your business and is exactly the face you wanting greeting your guests. His ability to problem solve, combined with his kindness speaks to hospitality at its core.
The noise inside the hotel was incredible. I was assigned a room in front of the elevator on a Saturday meaning i was woken by all of the intoxicated people coming back to their rooms in the wee hours. In addition i was given an adjoining room where i could hear everything the man next door was doing, including taking a pee, sniffling and sneezing (he was definitely unwell). At times i thought he was actually in my room the noise was so acute. Thankfully, the hotel had provided earplugs, which i used, and successfully got back to sleep. I would have rated Found a 10 if the internal noise - which especially between rooms is fixable - was minimised.

The simplicity/design of the room, the bath products, I had a walk in closet in my room, the shower pressure and temp, the natural light, the water fountain and it's speed, being close to Van Ness.
The coffee situation was the only real bummer. I was bummed already when I got there and saw there was just an old machine in the lobby, but then it was broken and I didn't even have that. I would have preferred regular coffee and tea with all the fixings in the lobby, and having coffee in the rooms is kind of important. Secondly, is that there should probably be two front desk personnel, they were often overly busy.

Staff was exceedingly helpful and pleasant at all times. Bed was super comfortable with great all cotton bedding! Ceiling fan was effective. Proximity to Polk St. was great as there are close by inexpensive restaurants. Also, having a Trader Joe's just a couple of blocks away was very handy! The Bigelow cosmetics in the bathroom were a nice treat.
While I appreciated the free coffee service, it was never quite adequate: long waits for water to heat up; coffee bar ran out of creamer on day #2 and did not replace i--even after it was requested. I also wished there was a chair in my room (the only seating option was the bed). A slightly more powerful showerhead would also be welcomed.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were helpful and offered to put our luggage in their luggage room as we arrived a little early. The bed was comfy and the room was very bright and clean. I appreciated having a mini fridge in our room as well. The location of the hotel was good for us and was easily accessible by transit. The surrounding area was walkable as well with some nice restaurants nearby.
The only thing I’d like to see change would be to provide a chair or bench in the room. I didn’t want to always sit on or in the bed when in the room. Other than that, it was great!

Clean and spacious room: The room was well-maintained and offered ample space to relax and work comfortably. It included a desk, which is perfect for business travelers or anyone needing a dedicated workspace. * Friendly and accommodating staff: The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, including fulfilling a late checkout request. Their hospitality adds to the overall positive experience. * Convenient location: The hotel is situated on a street that feels safe, with the added benefit of being close to Pine Street, known for its excellent restaurants. This provides a variety of dining options within easy reach. Things to consider: * No bottled water in the room: While the hotel doesn't provide bottled water in the room, they do have a water and ice machine in the lobby for guests to refill their water bottles. This might be a minor inconvenience for some travelers who prefer the ease of having bottled water readily available. * Sketchy feeling on nearby streets: While the hotel's immediate surroundings felt secure, the reviewer mentioned that a few blocks away, the area felt less safe, with more homeless people. It's important to be aware of your surroundings, especially when venturing into unfamiliar areas. Overall: This hotel appears to be a solid choice for travelers who prioritize a clean, comfortable stay with friendly service and a convenient location near restaurants. While there are a couple of minor drawbacks, like the lack of bottled water and the slightly sketchy feeling on nearby streets, the overall experience seems positive.

A big shout-out to the excellent customer service at the front desk, especially Asal. No task was too big an ask! The hotel is close to many quality eateries and bars. Also, it is within walking distance to Union Square, Civic Center, Financial District and BART station. WIFI in the room and lobby was reliable and strong.
The room was rather basic. While there was a fridge and TV, there was no microwave, desk/chair. It is only a couple of blocks away from Tenderloin District (with a reputation for crime and high levels of homelessness). Fortunately, we were forewarned by front desk staff to avoid this area, and did not affect our stay.

Ms. Asal, a charming manager, runs this old fashioned, but a completely renovated and upgraded boutique hotel in the heart of Nob Hill, an affluent & a very convenient neighborhood of San Francisco. Mr. Tony and Ms. Amelia, welcomes guests at the reception checking them in with ease and comfort. Ms. Veronica and her dedicated team keeps this family hotel immaculate and pristine. The rooms are well designed and esthetically appropriate. Fine quality linen and other toiletries are provided. The location is remarkably convenient for practically anything that you may need while visiting Sfo, making this Hotel an edge above so many other properties. Special mention to the lovely complimentary coffee and other hot beverages made available at the lobby level throughout the day. The hotel is genreous enough to even offer friends of the guests staying with them. A memorable stay. Would definitely visit again.
........that I only had 5 days to enjoy there kind hospitality.
