it was clean and well organised. The staff were friendly and knowledge and efficient. Nice hotel. I was in room 419.

there is a loose metal manhole cover in the street - as traffic passes over it, there is a loud clang sound. I could hear it through the night. This was my only complaint 👍

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bedford Hotel in London, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was beautifully appointed, with all the amenities one could need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a busy day exploring the city. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the room were impeccable. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's location. Situated in a charming area of London, it was incredibly convenient for sightseeing, dining, and shopping. Despite its central location, the hotel maintained a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.

Walls are very thin and you can hear everything through them.

Overall comfortable stay in a good central location. Main thing I really liked was - wooden key cards instead of plastic and getting rid of plastic bin-bags. Also recycling bins at every floor. That pushed my score from 8 to 9. Room was small but it was a single, and perfectly comfortable for 1 person. It’s by a main road but there is a soundproofing. Lots of options for breakfast Nice and helpful staff

- Bit overpriced for a single room but I guess it is London centre in a middle of December. - Shower curtain, I hate these curtains. A screen would be so much more hygienic and make it easier to have a shower. - Even with soundproofing you can still hear some of the street noise, so if you are a light sleeper earplugs might be necessary. Also there is no air con so when its hot in a summer I imagine you will want windows open so that will be an issue.

The location is great, really close to the British Museum. I visit the Museum three times in a few days just because I can. Breakfast is a standard English breakfast, very delicious although not much varies from day to day. The breakfast room overlook a lovely small garden that I wish I spent more time in. I stayed on the 5th floor, and the sunset view from my window is spectaculars. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. I will come back in my next trips.

The bathroom is small and not very convenient. I like having a bathtub, but in such a small bathroom, a shower might be more suitable. I travel alone so it not really matters anyway.

The breakfast was as good as breakfasts at more expensive hotels. A bonus was the option of oatmeal porridge which you ordered specially. Made with milk, it was delicious and set me up for the day. Location perfect in wonderful Bloomsbury, staff helpful and friendly. Compared to other and more expensive hotels, it was really excellent value for money. Considerably cheaper than the Premier Inn chain, for example, and much more pleasant. I'll be back.

There is one snag to the Bedford: it doesn't have air conditioning. The nicest rooms overlook the garden and get very warm during sunny summer days. I'd probably choose different accommodation during the summer months, just in case I found myself in London during a heatwave.

Great location and walking distance to many of the main attractions. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant staff for breakfast kept up with the food supply.

Housekeeping could be improved. We returned to our room one day without it being serviced although we had the door knob requesting service for the room. We had to inform the reception each time we went out to ensure that housekeeping would service the room. We found that sometimes the dish/cups were not adequately cleaned.

The room size was great for our four-night stay as it was big enough without tripping over our suitcases, the restaurant downstairs was good for a drink or basic dinner and there were plenty of other food options close by. Beds were comfortable and pillows nice, it had double windows for soundproofing which was great plus daily room servicing with replacement towels if you wanted.

The shower was the over the bath type which limited the size, and you had to be careful getting out of the bath/shower.

The location of the hotel is perfect, in a lively street with restaurants, souvenir shop, grocery shop, pharmacy, very close to main of the atractions, 10-20 mins walk. The Biritish Museum is a 3 mins walk and the Oxford Street is 15 mins walk. It is a 15 mins walk to the West End if you would go to a theatre. The Holborn Station is 3 mins walk and through it goes the Picaddily Line which is the main line to the Heathrow. The Bedford Hotel is very clean. Comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent with vegetables, fruit, toast (no bread), ham, cheese, croissants, chocolate, honey and jams, milk, greek yogurt, juices, tea and coffee (excellent coffee from the machine) and full English breakfast. The staff is very helpfull and polite. The last day we stored our luggage in the store room in the lobby and there was no problem.

The walls between rooms are quite thin so you could hear your neighbours if they are loud. The hotel has two sides-one is a street side which is a little bit louder, and the other is a garden side which is quiet.

This hotel is a great value for money. It's a good price for the Christmas season. Spacious single room with all the amenities needed (coffee, tea, biscuits, electric adapter available at reception, safe, trouser press, etc. A soft close seat in the bathroom is a big plus 😁. A queen bed is comfortable and soft for a good night's sleep. Wifi works perfectly. Online check-in and check-out are also available and spares some time (especially as I came in late at night - 2 am) English breakfast is substantial, however every day the same: fruits, eggs, sausages, beans, salami and cheese, cereals, etc. Rooms are serviced daily and are clean, the view of the garden is probably much better than on the street where it may get noisy in the morning. Room maids are even available in the afternoon to refill tea, coffee, and biscuits if needed. The location is great. The British Museum is just around the corner, traditional quaint pubs and an elegant seafood restaurant right across the street, and bus stops, and tube station are only a minute's walk away. Personel is also kind and accomodating. For my next stay, I'd choose this hotel again.

I cannot think of any objections.
