Very good location, walking distance from many interest points

We could hear the traffic from outside even with closed windows.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of London with areas like Camden and Covent Garden within easy walking distance. And value for money considering this location is outstanding. The staff are all friendly and approachable, and will help with anything they can. The room we had was amazing, much larger than we were expecting, it was also clean and comfortable. The hidden kitchen was a really nice touch, so much better than a kettle on the bedside table. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel & I'd definitely stay there again.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the bed seemed so hard. However, it was comfortable enough for a night's sleep, so I guess that's more of a personal choice.

Great Location with very happy and helpful staff. It was no problem to store our luggage before check in and check out. It was an old property but was very clean. Lots of heating and hot water. Liked having a little kitchenette in the bedroom. There were plenty of hangers in the small wardrobe.

The bed settee in our room 104 was very uncomfortable the frame was solid but the metal mesh provided no support to the mattress.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb. The location was great and very accessible to the underground and buses And most importantly for me, it was a very quiet room and very cosy. I will recommend it to family and friends.

The rooms probably need a re-furb- especially the curtains and bath. Also in order to compete at 4* level it needs air-conditioning, just cooling.

Location was good. Studio room was good with a settee and tiny kitchenette. There were 2 fans in the wardrobe as the room was very hot. They were kind to leave us some cake for our wedding anniversary. Check in was quick, staff friendly

The lift wasn't working and we were on 3rd floor. A lot of stairs in a hot building, then entering a hot room. Thought I was going to either melt or die. Thankfully fans in the wardrobe, so this has obviously been a thing before

Very helpful staff. Moved me to another room with a shower and a bath as the bath was too high for me to step into. Large airy room and kept clean. Comfortable bed. Nice area to visit and also near bus stops.

The sofa in the room was very old and not so comfortable. There is no dining room in the hotel but I understand there is in their sister hotels in the same street. This was ok but next visit we will stay in one of these. The staff and location certainly made up for any little things we didn’t like.

The hotel was located right across from the British Museum in a quiet and green neighborhood. It was very convenient yet calm. Every staff was very friendly and helpful during my three nights stay. I think I got upgraded (?) to a large and spacious room with an extra bedroom, which I very much appreciated and enjoyed.

The building itself is quite old while fairly well maintained. The lights are old fashioned but still do their job. I stayed in the lower floor (one level below the reception), and could hear the neighbors (especially footsteps from the people above me). But still it was very comfortable stay, and I have nothing to complain - especially at this price!

Location perfect. Staff were so friendly and helpful always smiling. Tea/coffee/biscuits replenished daily as were the toiletries . Good selection of items on the continental breakfast. Room spacious bed comfy.

Cooked breakfast disappointing. We suspect that the bacon sausage and scrambled egg were all pre-cooked and kept warm. Sausage was unpleasant.

Brilliant location for Covent garden theatre land and all of London .short walk to Holborn station and also loads of bus links or walking is easy. . Clean hotel but needs some TLC ! Shower is ancient but hot ,room had fridge and microwave,great staff .its also very quiet. breakfast is very expensive if not included with your booking £25 but make sure it is as the continental breakfast is good and you can then add fry up for £5 if you want.

A bit tired looking

The location was very good and the room was spacious - bigger than rooms normally in London. Loved having a bathtub and we also had a kitchenette in our room.

We were able to leave our luggage until 2 pm but I kinda got the feeling that if we had stayed until the evening it might not have been possible and I think it´s a must to be able to leave your luggage at the hotel until your return flight.
