It was a beautiful location, an 18-minute walk from the historic center, although as it’s perched up on a hill, the walk back to the hotel was steep. I adored all of the staff and they were immediate in their response to any issue. I’ve never felt this kind of care when staying at previous hotels.
Although this is a three-star hotel, I think it would benefit to have a cleanliness and maintenance checklist to perform either randomly or regularly to make sure the rooms are set up well. I was in a couple of different rooms during my stay due to room issues and had the maintenance crew come and replace light bulbs and fix a running toilet. One of the showerheads had water coming sideways so the floor towards the toilet was wet. Housekeeping standards would be good to check on a regular basis as there were inconsistencies but these were minor. To no fault of the staff, the hot tub didn’t heat up during my stay because it’s heated by solar panels and it was cloudy often. But overall, I was pleased with the location and service.

The place has a wonderful terrace with a pool a hot tub, sauna, and a great view, staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was great! We booked a basic room without breakfast and got an upgrade offer at check in for 200 mxn for a room with terrace view and breakfast per night, we were 3 ppl, my wife my 1 year old son and I, so it was a great deal. It’s a full breakfast (bowl of fruit, coffee, flavored water, and the main dish) I recommend chilaquiles verdes and molletes with chorizo. House keeping everyday. In general it’s a great value for the money, great service and great view. Just needs some tiny improvements.
The place is located up in a hill which is a bit hard to go up and down the stairs every time but Guanajuato is like this so this is not their fault, I was mentally prepared. The room has no aircon or fan and after walking up the stairs you’ll feel warm, I stayed here by the end of February the weather was nice but it felt a bit warm at night, so would suggest just adding a fan in the room. A la carte dinner can be improved. The bed was a bit uncomfortable I could feel the springs on my back and it also had some plastic mattress protector kind of noisy and was coming off all the time I had to fix it like three times during the night.

I believe this hotel deserves higher ratings. I read a review before choosing it, and although the hotel has many negative opinions, I find the location truly appealing. Situated on a hill, it may not be suitable if you have difficulty walking or dislike stairs, but it boasts a fantastic terrace with a pool, jacuzzi, and a beautiful city view. The Wi-Fi is good, breakfasts are decent, and while not extravagant, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and simple. One downside is that January, being the coldest month, resulted in chilly evenings in the rooms, but considering a nighttime temperature of 8 degrees, it seems normal. Overall, I genuinely rate this hotel positively.

Room was a good size and nice enough. Incredible view. Rooftop pool and spa was incredible so beautiful and the most amazing view also. Such a beautiful building and colourful and pretty. The staff were extremely nice and accomodating. A man carried our luggage single handedly up and down the stairs and many staff spoke English which helped minimise issues with our broken Spanish. They brought food to our room when asked and were very helpful. The cocktails are delicious and very well priced and ultimately everything is very well priced. Breakfast was also nice and free water bottles so we didn’t have to worry about buying filtered water.
The shower pressure was challenging to get properly clean as it was weak. The beds were not very comfortable. The stairs were a struggle after long walking days and the restaurant food was hit and miss. The guacamole was delicious as was the steak nachos but the tacos and enchiladas were plain and flavourless.

The biggest perk of this hotel is the amazing view of the city! We had some nice chilling time in the jacuzzi while enjoying the view. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. It is a bit outside of the center but for us it was an easy walk.
Unfortunately the swimming pool was not open because they were cleaning it that day. We were only there for 1 day so it was just bad timing. They let us know while we were checking and gave us the option to cancel though so this was appreciated.

Decent room, good breakfast, very nice terrace with a beautiful view of the town. Very helpful staff, in Spanish only. Quiet, some minutes walking away from the heart of the city.
Parking is either with an extra cost in a small yard or on the steep ramp in front of the entrance for free. In the latter case the car keys must be left in the reception because it gets packed. No problems with it. From the entrance to the reception and to most of the rooms it's only stairs, which can be annoying if you have a heavy suitcase on wheels. Staff is helpful anyway.

I liked the view though it is very far from centre good food for breakfast buffet, but we were on a time where it seems a very big group of people were on a church celebration, and it was very unconfortable having breakfast with so much noise, we left early breakfast and hotel because it was very annoying

The view to the City is great. Comfortable beds. The breakfast (included ) and the food of the restaurant was very good. Friendly and d helpful staff.
The location is not very convenient to go walking to the downtown and to come back from the downtown. You can hear everything through the door. If you are not traveling alone, the door of the bathroom will not give enough privacy.

Location is great as it’s walkable into the historic centre of town. Free parking on the ramp outside. Nice pool and hot tub with good rest area and outdoor bar. Really good hiking area right behind the hotel. Manager spoke good English and very friendly staff. Proper bar downstairs.
Nothing really. Would stay there again, longer next time.
