This is a large and busy property, but seems smaller because there are only 10 rooms on each of 42 floors. Our room was very small but thoughtfully designed. There was no desk or dresser, but we had storage drawers under the bed and in bedside tables. The bathroom was small but shower was of adequate size. Air conditioning worked well, once we discovered how to control it properly.

Breakfast is not included in the rate. The restaurant on the premises seemed very overpriced. Elevators were relatively efficient, but there was some congestion at peak times. The hotel charged us a "destination fee" of $30 per night ... I would prefer this to be included in the nightly rate for easier comparison. One morning there was extensive testing of the fire alarm system and intercoms, which lasted more than an hour.

This Motto is a great option for staying in lower Manhattan and we were comfortable and well cared for during our entire stay. The rooms are standard size for the city, but the modular storage and under-bed space as well as shelves and hooks made it easy to function even in close quarters. Location wise this was great for both work and proximity to bars, restaurants, theatre and shopping. Super easy subway access. Comfy bed, great shower, strong wifi, kind staff. Clean, well designed, fun and cute.

The scrambled eggs at Lulla are delicious and the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, as are the hotel staff. At the front desk, Relly who checked me in and out was awesome. The room has great lighting, design and ambiance. It was a really comfortable space and energy. Bonus points for the light up room numbers on the floor at the door entrance. The hotel is in Chelsea, but it's a block from the Flatiron district and Madison Square Park. There is SO MUCH to do nearby and several subway stations are a block or two away in any direction.

The only thing that was not great are the towels. They're terrible. Worn out and dry. I was honestly surprised because I've stayed in way worse hotels with much better towels. Overall A, the towels get a D+.

The location of this hotel is great. Very walkable to the best neighborhoods.

The rooms were very tiny. I thought it was pricey for what you get.

Good location, walking distance to tourist attractions but out of the hustle and bustle. Chic, modern decor with an NY twist. Jazz band started playing in the bar as we checked in which set the tone! King size room was compact but well set out. 11th floor has a decent street view but no classic skyline. We would definitely stay again.

No rooftop bar but lots of bars etc in the neighbourhood. Decor getting slightly scruffy.

Great location and very comfortable. The hotel is super clean, the room well designed ( I stayed with a friend and we each had very comfortable queen beds and enough room to store our belongings which is not often the case in NY hotels). I was amazed by how busy it was at all times of day, and yet everything kept moving at a great pace. All of the staff were super attentive and kind, front the front desk to the cleaning crew. Another bonus was I sent a package to the hotel which arrived a day before my arrival and they safely stored it. Both my friend and I had to work while here, and they had a lovely open layout lounge that provided different places to work (although it is open so calls are not private). Would highly recommend!

The bathroom could use extra hooks and shelves for storing items.

Modern and stylish and relatively quiet location

Unwelcoming entrance way, beautifully decorated outside but actual doorway lacklustre. Staff pleasant but definitely not interested in talking. I’m not sure if it’s just the New York way as most people we encountered were similar, but when you’re paying $2000 for 3 nights you expect some sort of genuine interaction. Coffee bar staff particularly disinterested and abrupt verging on rude! No eye contact and always shouting at customers. Very odd. The lobby/bar area is too crowded around the small reception area. You feel as though you are intruding on friends meeting up whilst you try to check in. Should be much more separated for a more pleasant guest check in especially after long flights!

The property is in a great location, nicely furnished and comfortable Views from the higher floors are amazing, see picture They offer 2 free water bottles per day $10 room credit per day if you use the restaurant Room service was good, always nice to come back to a cleaned up room each day

No big things, just some recs below that would make this a 10-point stay for me A few more breakfast options and a coffee machine in the room would be great Real door instead of a sliding bathroom door. Or a sliding door that shuts better A little overpriced in my opinion, but that might be due to the time of travel during New Years, costing it 1 point in my review Personnel is ok friendly, some are really friendly, others less. Feels like it's not a big company focus

The location is super accessible, and the staff were very friendly. I really appreciated how they accommodated a request for a lower floor due to my fear of elevators lol. In addition, the room was clean and comfortable!

For what you're paying in value - the room is VERY small. I understand it's New York City and there's limited space especially in higher end areas/hotels - but having said that, I was surprised to find that there was NO closet in the standard king room - there are literally pegs on the wall where you can hang your clothes near the sink. It's not great if you're traveling for more than week and want to hang clothes out/not have them in your suitcase the entire time. Also - the sink is outside of the bathroom in the middle of the room which is cute and boutique like but very limited space is my point. The elevators also get really busy so just fyi if you're checking out on Sundays.

The Hotel is very nice and it’s very well located. The VIEW from our window was amazing. You have Subway station less than 2 min walk and a Whole food and CVS as Dell as a very good dinner just behind the hotel.

The rooms do not have closet, iron, coffeemaker or even a bottle of water. They have the smallest minifridge in the world, you can’t even Fit a regular bottle of water that you have yo Buy in the CVS because they do not provide it. I have stayed in a cheaper hotel in Time Square and the service was better even thought the hotel was very old.
