Staff were welcoming and helped whenever required. Lovely rooms in good location and within walking distance to town but also has bus stop outside the door if required.
Only issue is the fact that they will not accept cash and there’s a 2.5 % charge on your card when you use it. This was the only hotel in our five week stay in NZ that made card use compulsory.

Excellent location, quiet and comfy. Having the park next to the hotel meant very little street noise. Very comfy king bed and I loved the spa bath and that I could watch tv from the bath! I used the mineral pool and spa and it was nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. There’s a full length mirror inside the closet door.
Nothing to complain about. The a/c could have been colder but the room temp was comfortable anyway. I slept with the balcony door open for a breeze. The property is on a hill so if you have trouble walking it might not be the best choice unless you have a car or Uber everywhere.

we so enjoyed our stay, our room had a balcony and captured the afternoon sun. Really lovely. Car parking was awesome too We had a rollaway bed, it was brought in by a lovely staff member, she was just awesome. I loved her service, bright and happy she was. The pool looking amazing and the spa looked beautiful too but I didnt bring my swimwear. I never at any time felt like there were lots of people around, lift was quick and reception was never busy
only 2 of everything, like plates, cups, and glasses, towels, room was serviced next day and refreshed our towels. But I do like a towel for my hair and one for the body . They add $200 to your bill when you check in. Which I understand is normal, I see the day after we checked out the amount reversed and the amount only for our stay was charged to my credit card. Just a bit confusing.

My room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Nice selection of complementary tea and toiletries. Staff were super nice too. The view from my little balcony was beautiful - I could see right across the city to some hills behind. The hotel looks classy both outside and in. I had heaps of facilities I didn't use in my room, as I was only there one night (mini kitchen, even a washing machine), but the little comfy seating area, bed and desk were all great. Really felt like a mini apartment. The location is very nice: conveniently close to a City bus stop (almost outside the door), while there is a beautiful little park on the other side of the hotel. It's better to take a bus or taxi with luggage as the hill is very steep. However the highlight of the hotel for me was the wonderful pair of swimming pools. A small cool water pool for swimming and then a little hot water pool for relaxing next to it, both open air. The view with the exotic (at least for a non-Kiwi) trees and flowers behind was amazing. I had the most relaxing evening and morning in the pool, almost always to myself. I would very much visit here again!
2 small things: fridge was a little loud but I just turned it off at night. The shower wall over the bath didn't seem to seal so well so a bit of water dripped onto the floor - luckily there was a drainage hole in the floor too so all good. Neither of them detracted from my stay at all. I would suggest next time including herbal tea bags/maybe vegan hot chocolate (hot chocolate looked super nice but I couldn't drink it!), but only suggestions :) Thanks for probably my best ever booking.com experience!

The spa bath, the location, it was a nice spot
The pool was being cleaned all morning. Eventually we went down and they asked us to come back in an hour. When we came back a different person wanted to put chemicals inside and it would be closed for the rest of the day. Pretty disappointing to waste time waiting for a pool that never opened. There was also maintenance in the room above or beside us, really loud and annoying, it would've been nice to let us know ahead of time or apologize for any inconvenience. It wasn't very relaxing.

The location was fabulous. Walking distance from War Museum, Art Gallery, Auckland Tower, and the vintage restaurants and shops in Grafton. A couple of mini markets nearby if you wanted to cook in the apartment. Bus stop nearby and taxi drivers knew the hotel well. Cleaning service very reliable every day, front desk staff polite and helpful.
Tour buses do not stop at this hotel but there are two nearby big chain hotels within walking distance where tours pick you up from. Hotel restaurant not in service for any meals but they offer in room continental breakfast if you order the night before.

Room was spacious and clean and lovely
No USB ports at all.. I checked in round 830.. And didn't realize I forgot my charger.. I picked up a charger and there was no USB ports at all.. When I mentioned this to the front upon check out, he said, we have chargers.. The irony..I didn't think to ask at Check in and we got back to the room after midnight... Thought the room would be a bit more tech savy. TV instruction weren't great...difficult to connect, ended up not being able to cast or watch anything in the end🤷🏻♀️ Zero travel products, mini tooth brush or toothpaste.

Good position for exploring Auckland and in a very quiet area. Reception staff helpful and parking available, although quite expensive. Room a bit dated but very comfortable and clean. Excellent lighting. I mention that as many hotels these days have levels of lighting that are too low to work or read comfortably. Very big room with a couple of comfortable chairs and a desk. Kitchenette sufficient. Bonus for us was the washer /dryer as we’d traveled a while and needed fresh clothes for next leg of the journey. We had a room on ninth floor overlooking the sky tower.
Swimming pool is small and area around it is not inviting. No shower nearby. No bar or coffee available and area all closed off A clothes sitter would be helpful to put clothes on that have just come out of machine

No complaints for anything. Desk staff were great , and helpful with everything. The room was comfy and had a lovely view over the park and the street from the windows. We watched children being delivered at the kindergarten down below. Proximity to the kosher deli - loved it! A big reason why we chose you. Dinner recommended at Asian on the corner Pitt and K - brilliant service and delicious food. Our waiter was sorry my husband’s meal was too small so he added a dessert for free. Not keen on banana spring rolls!! Easy location for a slow walk down to the docks, very interesting down there, but we needed to catch a taxi back up the hill and take a rest!!
I had great problems with the hardness of the pillows. The stuffing is rigid and hurt my ears that kept me massaging them all night. The next morning I asked for the housekeeper to find me something softer but the one she gave me was very little better. May I suggest that you get some lighter and softer Dacron ones from KMart.
