check-in and facilities were great. The shared kitchen was very useful and kept clean. The staff were great and contacted me when I left my laptop behind before I left Auckland. It was very helpful to have secure parking available in the city. My questions to the accommodation before my arrival were answered quickly. It was a nice walk to get to city for shopping and a mini mart across the road.

The only thing that didn't work well was the TV. It was fixed to one channel and volume and remote and TV controls didn't work. The secure parking was very handy but a little expensive.

This is an excellent 'little' hostel in a leafy street in Central Auckland. I have used this hotel on numerous occasions. I had a single room with a single bed. The rooms are basic however have their own bathroom, tea and coffee facilities and TV. There is a convenient bed lamp above the headboard and air conditioning in the room, also. There is extra bedding provided if you feel cool through the night. However, I have never had to use it summer or winter. It's a short few minutes to the city and you have the choice of a street walk or through Myers Park. This is an old park and extends from K'Rd where there are cafe's and clubs, probably the more 'interesting' part of Auckland, through to Queen Street and down to the harbour. Probably a 20/30minute walk all up. There is a convenient store directly across the Road from the Hotel, too. There are cooking facilities on the lower floor leading out to the car park and the Park. Washing facilities are also available.

I had a friend arriving from the UK and although he was staying with a tour at a major Hotel close by I invited him up to my room for a cuppa. Within a couple of minutes there was a knock at the door and he had to leave. A little embarrassing and we are both middle aged. So I was made aware that it is most suitable for the younger traveller. However, a small hiccup.

The airport transfer is such a delightful bonus! The hotel kitchen is impressively well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. As travelers, we also loved the shared amenities and items available—it truly adds to the sense of community

The cleaning staff were very kind, though sometimes a bit too noisy in the hall. It made it a little challenging to fight jet lag and sleep during cleaning hours.

Our room was quite clean including the carpet. Bedding also clean sheets etc. Good water pressure in the shower.

As regular guests we were surprised that now we need to pay a refundable room bond. Staff do not read guest requests, eg. to reserve on property parking which is very limited.Staff should confirm to guest ASAP to avoid conflict. Parking fee is $25 night uncovered. Our room was very small. There is nowhere to rest a suitcase to unpack.No chairs just one stool. Coffee and Tea available, however IMPOSSIBLE to rip open the strong bags without scissors which we did not have.

The location was excellent and quiet. Walking to the center of town only takes about 10 minutes and you get to see so much of the The staff was very helpful and competent. I really appreciated the efforts to be ecological. When traveling, having access to a washer and dryer is worth its weight in gold. I would gladly come back. For those traveling on a budget, being able to use the kitchen is a great way to save money and have contact with more of the younger backpacking set. Keep up the good work.

Nothing really to complain, the internet was a little slow for doing business but otherwise okay.

Stayed here before. Reliably clean and comfortable. Love city location. The car park was safe and secure. The staff are gorgeous. Helpful, friendly and communicate well.

There were a number of sirens on Saturday night and we had the window open to cool the room, but we still had a great sleep when it quietened down. We could hear and see people talking on the pavement outside night and day, so we had to tilt the blinds.

Polite staff. Very clean. Excellent location. Parking could be reserved. Excellent value for money

Fixtures and fittings a bit worn. Shower didn't have handle on the inside. Towel rail falling off on one side and tv only worked on 1 channel

Nice and quiet while I was there. It was really great having a fridge in my room to keep my food. Mind you my fridge froze everything in it but that was okay too!

Needs to be a better attentiveness to keeping the kitchen facilities clean. I think some regular checkups by staff and tidy up if necessary would be advisable. There is also nowhere to wash your hands up in the kitchen. Sure you can use a kitchen sink and washing up liquid, not a problem… but there are no paper towels in order to dry your hands. This leads people to using the tea towels making them potentially vastly, vastly germy and unhygienic…

Second year in a row that I have stayed here over NYE period as it is a relatively cheap accommodation near K-Road and near where I want to be on NYE. I choose a room with an ensuite but there are various to fit your budget. Rooms are small but clean. There is often street noise but I will stay here again in future because the price trumps that issue for me personally

Accommodation was quite ok, nothing special. I appreciate the helpfulness of the staff - they were very kind. The room was quite small, but contained everything I needed - fridge, TV, comfortable bed, bathroom. I was satisfied and will come back! :)

In the room, there are so many electrical sockets. :D However, when I wanted to turn on the lights in the bathroom, I did not find any switch for it (I think it was the switch near the bathroom door, obviously, but when I switched it on, only the bathroom fan turned on. Probably the bulb in the bathroom light was out of order)...
