I booked this hotel as it was cheap and I expected it to reflect the price, I was so shocked! It's on an unmade road as the area is under going development but it's a great area, close to the main strip, lots of bars and resturants very close. The hotel itself.... WOW, honestly WOW! it's an absolute haven, a stunning forest in the middle of the city. The pool area is gorgeous, rooms were huge and very modern and clean. Breakfast was fantastic and the yoga (which is included) was brilliant. We stayed at Azulik and Panamera on the beach after this hotel and honestly, we just wanted to come back to Zenses as it was the best by a mile, and oddly a sixth of the cost as the others. We will be back, and we will stay here throughout the entire trip, just get an ATV or scooter and it's 5 mins to the beach. Staff, unreal and deserve the best tips ever!!! couldnt do enough. Thank you

A bar would be nice but equally there is a fridge in the room and a store around the corner so you can just buy your own, ice was available so it was perfect!

Everything. The rooms were beautiful, cosy, spacious and clean. Each room is quite far from the others, and inside it is like a forest, so the rooms are very intimate and private. It is the perfect place for a couple's trip, we still had an amazing time with my daughter as a family's trip. In the morning it is possible to take yoga classes which were very relaxing and a great discovery. The breakfast was also perfect and very copious. It's a place i'd recommend

Beautiful and boutique accommodation. Rooms are massive and very lovely and the pool is lovely to sit at. Breakfast also very yum and worth doing

The staff weren't overly friendly and it took me about 7 messages and over a month to get my deposit back. Please be very careful and ensure you get proof of return. Also we asked to go on a tour to Chichen Iza and cenotes, both of which I'd definitely recommend visiting but the tour company the hotel organised us for was terrible. Make sure you are not booked with Easy Tours and book without the hotel. We tried to give this feedback after the tour to the reception staff and they were very dismissive and didnt want to hear it. Overall though the good outweighed the negatives of the trip and we did enjoy overall the hotel

Zenses it’s located in the center where you can walk everywhere. But also quiet to provide you enough of privacy and silence. It has a fantastic pool and fantastic breakfast. The staff was extremely helpful friendly, they have helped us on everything and give us recommendations for all places. The room is very very big with a pretty good design. We were surprised how much space we had in the room. The hotel is designed as you feel like you’re in the jungle you woke up to the birds sound singing, and in the morning, they provides yoga classes for free, which were pretty good. We had a really amazing stay at this place. We really recommended it!

Everything was perfect!

First of all, special thanks to everyone, who works at the hotel. Very kind and very professional. Our guardian angel, José, provided us with all the information we needed for our one week stay: where to go, where to eat, where to swim...we are grateful for his recommendations. We wanted rather local then touristic places. The hotel is in a quite neighbourhood, in jungle surroundings. At first, it might seem an unsafe road, but no worries, it is not. To get to the beach, you can walk (35-40 min) or ride a bike or take your car. Close by on foot, there are many restaurants, street food and supermarket. We loved our stay! Don't hesitate to ask the stuff for recommendations. Greetings from Hungary and Greece!

My advice would be to take spray for mosquitos, but if you forget, they will have it handy.

The property is lush and tranquil , beautiful garden . The rooms is more then spacious ,artistic cement design . The shower was hot , lovely yoga class in the morning . The front desk staff especially Oscar and Grace were so nice, helpful and went above and beyond .

I think the breakfast could be improved . the chef was very nice and the food prepared adequately . It was like something you could prep are in your apartment . Drinks at the pool , even just bottles or cans to purchase would be great . It would be wonderful if they had a morning and evening yoga class .

The layout of the hotel is amazing. You have your little house with a patio and a lot of privacy. The room is big and spacious. Everything is so comfortable and peaceful. The yoga classes are great, both Paola and Veronica are great teachers (and their practice is slightly different from one another so you don’t get bored). The receptionists are very friendly and lovely. There is security overnight so it feels very safe all the time!

The yoga mats could be changed and maybe a cleaning spray provided. Thanks!

I absolutely loved my stay here. I looked at a million hotels in Tulum and I'm so glad I picked this one. I wanted a place that was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing, and this place was all those things! The room was huge and so quiet and private. I absolutely loved all the plants and greenery. Carlos at the front desk was so kind and helpful. I only had the breakfast one day, but it was very tasty. The guy who runs the breakfast area was nice and let me practice my terrible Spanish with him. I also really liked that they have a water cooler you can use to fill your bottles for free (cuts down a little bit on all the plastic waste you see in so many places). Water pressure in the shower was great. It was also really convenient to be able to rent a bike directly from the hotel. The fridge in the room was super cold. I read some negative reviews about the neighborhood which I don't agree with at all. It's right in the middle of Tulum Centro and super close to tons of restaurants and stores. The big supermarket Chedurai is very close. Yes, local people live in the area because TULUM IS THEIR HOME and we are guests there. I personally love staying in neighborhoods that have a little local flavour; it's part of what makes travelling interesting. In no way did I feel unsafe in the neighborhood whatsoever (and I am a solo female traveller). Yep, there are potholed roads and a few friendly dogs and some garbage and some friendly locals walking around. If this kind of thing freaks you out, one of the sterile mega resorts may be a better option for you. Thank you Zenses for a wonderful stay!

Honestly the only thing I can think of is that the pool does accumulate a bit of leaves and stuff from all the shrubbery around, but honestly it wasn't a big deal at all; I'm sure its a lot to keep up with. The pool water was clear and nice for a little dip.

We read before that the location was a bit weird, but overall is very close to the Tulum centre. Good options for food nearby, supermarkets and the bus stops if you are going by public transportation. The room was clean and spacious, and the facilities are small but nice.

The reception staff were friendly and tried to help, although one of the guys gave us outdated information about a beach club. The sliding door of the room felt a bit rickety in terms of locking, but they keep a security guard overnight, so it was not a major concern.

Great service, Staff jose and victor are very knowledgeable and recommended great restaurants. Very clean. Loved the space and design of the room. Too much bugs in the outdoor area outside our room. So we didn’t spend any time on the terrace with the hammock.

Doors where sliding glass door and bugs could still get in some times. AC was great but it was blowing too much at our heads when we slept. Not enough light in the rooms. Pillows were too high so we both had a tough time sleeping
