The location is perfect for tourists or visiting family from interstate. Like us, you can drive from home to Sydney, park at First Parking Darling Square and get to anywhere easily via the light rail, city rail etc. The shower had great water pressure and the temperature was well regulated.

I would like to give my thanks to Zoe, a staff member of Novotel. My daughter gave birth to her son on Christmas Day and called me from RPA Hospital at 8:30 pm. She wanted a newspaper from that day as a keepsake. I had no idea where I could find one so late. I quickly went downstairs to ask the young receptionist at the front desk if the hotel had any. The answer was, "Sorry, we don’t." I stood there disappointed in the lobby. A few minutes later, the young receptionist came to find me with her phone and asked, "Would you like to try Coles at World Square? They sell newspapers and are open late." With her help, I was able to buy the last two copies of the Sunday Hearld.

Stayed two nights with the Novotel with my daughter. Had a room overlooking the chinese garden. It was a wonderful experience. room was clean and nice decor. The bed and pillows were comfortable and all our interactions with staff were positive. I really like the design of the hotel and the location was handy for getting anywhere in the city, either by foot or ferry or light rail. We used the parking and that was a simple exercise, even in the rain. The hotel had us drop our bags first and then gave us a map for how to drive to the carpark and then it was a quick walk back to hotel. I couldn't have had a better experience than the one at Novotel Darling Square.

I think they should make their sustainable practices more known and make it clear if there is omething not in the room you need, like water, that you can ask for it.

The room was modern and spacious, super comfotable. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious. The aircon worked fantastically, the smart TV was very convienent to link to netfilx and worked really well as did the wifi. The staff were warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was also really good and fresh.

There were dirty towels left in the bathroom when I checked in, as well as lots of sequins throughout the carpet that I kept noticing. I called reception about the dirty towels but no one came to collect them. The pool was closed and the only alternative was a public one ~10 minute walk away that had much more restrictive hours, was really dissapointed as it was a key reason I picked this particular hotel over others - wish they had let me know prior to checking in, I only found out as there was a stack of papers on the reception desk when checking in saying it was closed. The panel that controls the aricon was insanely bright and kept me up, I had to cover it with clothing to sleep.

We were attending a concert at Aware entertainment and basically you walk out the door and you are there, so that was a great location for us. Also, the abundance of restaurants within easy walking was a bonus. The hotel itself is lovely with a spacious room and beautiful bathroom. Perfectly set out and we had a nice view over the Chinese Gardens. Loved the pristine cleanliness and fantastic comfortable bed and large bath towels. Staff are so helpful and professional. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast at the hotel which was a nice start to the day. We loved the 11am checkout which gave us an hours extra relaxing time after breakfast. The Wilson carpark is only a few minutes walk from the hotel so posed no problem for us. We highly recommend this particular Novotel and it’s definitely going to be where we stay for future concerts.

No complaints at all. There are two Novotel Hotels at Darling Harbour so make sure you realise which one you’ve booked… we went to the other one by mistake…. but that’s our fault not theirs

Lovely location on a closed street facing greenery and local eats on darling square. It was lovely not to step onto dirty city streets and feel a sense of calm each day. In excellent proximity to tumbalung park and an easy walk to darling harbour, paddy's market etc. If you want to be a stones throw away, without being on the board walk - you will love this place. Breakfast was lovely and convenient - with all the standard inclusions, maintained to a high standard. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Room clean and in great repair. Wifi included, with connectivity to chrome cast on TVs - great internet speeds. Kids club in the holidays was a great space for little ones to let of a little steam playing PlayStation/ Xbox after a busy day exploring the city. It was beautiful to see an arrangement of snacks and drinks for children in kinds club - all free!

Swimming pool leaves a lot to be desired. They had some maintenance whilst we were there. I booked this hotel with the pool in mind to help keep kids entertained, but it was in quite a dull room, with very uncomfortable seating. Kids were scared of the drains. It's clear this might be part of an older part of building and they've had historical maintenance issues here. If you just want a little dip to cool down- I'm sure you will find the pool adequate. Lovely that pool towels were available - with carry on luggage- it was not possible to bring our own. Pumphouse next door looked like a great place for an afternoon beverage. Unfortunately was busy each night without us booking ahead so I wasn't able to spend time here.

The room was clean and well appointed, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom shower had good water pressure. The location was great, close to the Sydney centre, darling harbour and the market area.

The room was a bit noisy with traffic noise as it faced a main road. There was a mix up with breakfast, we had paid for breakfast at check in but it was not recorded at the restaurant, although they went to check we were given a bill and asked to pay again, eventually it was sorted but it was embarrassing being approached about it three times whilst trying to have breakfast.

From the moment we walked in to the hotel the experience was fantastic. The staff were wonderful. Helping us to check in early was fantastic as we had just got off a cruise. Walking into a very clean, cosy and warm looking room was great and the bed's were exceptionally comfortable. I fell asleep instantly and had the best sleep i'd had in 10 days. Being able to connect our own Netflix to the room TV was also just what we needed to be able to chill after having no wi-fi or TV on the cruise. The cafe / restaurant was beautiful to look at and the breakfast was lovely. The location was also great. I love that there was lots of eating places right on our door step as well as a massage place which was open quite late to what i'm used to. Easy to get to the tram lines, shopping precinct, Circular Quay just made the stay perfect.

There was nothing we didn't like. However being tourist we did get ripped off getting a taxi from the Cruise boat to the Hotel. Getting charged $75 for a 20 min cab ride which we could have got a tram for $1 or an Uber for $25 I was very peeved about however this is not the fault of the Hotel.

Great location to get where we wanted to, located near heaps of food choices, pillows were great although I forget how uncomfortable a single bed can be when sharing a room, would say the only negative thing I prefer I dark room to sleep and the air con control and doorbell/ do not disturb controls shine bright the whole night also miss bin liners was not nice to check in and see someone else's cherry stone still in the bin because there was no bin liner just a little thing and I know its for environmental reasons but the bins are small enough and to not be lined makes a difference

The check-in process was very smooth and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable for a 2-night stay. The bathroom had good lighting and powerful double showerheads. It was conveniently located for easy access to Paddy's Market, Darling Harbour, and Chinatown. The closest light-rail station was a 2 min away. The bonus extra was having umbrella's available for guest use when it rained. I asked for a complimentary late check-out which was provided and used the baggage storage facility until it was time to head to the airport which is under a 20-minute drive away. I would happily stay here again.

The overhead reading light is a bit of design-over-function as if it is over the bed and you get up then you can hit your head on it and if it is pushed to the side and you retrieve something from the bedside table you can hit your head on it. Complimentary biscuits would have been a nice touch.

Great location, bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom itself was awesome, lots of surfaces to put things on. Aircon worked really well. Staff communicated well before, during and after.

Wifi was a bit weird and difficult to get going. Parking was offsite, as I knew before, but it was very squishy and there's a possibility of not ending up with a park depending on when you arrive. Could've had a few extra niceties for the price (amenities etc)
