The staff were amazing! The distance from the city centre isn’t too long and the more you do it the easier it starts to feel. The hotel is located about 5 minutes from a Co-op which was extremely helpful as well! The fridge in our room really came in handy (make sure you plug it in). Overall the hotel was okay, it was worth how much we spent just maybe bring your own pillows!

The pillows were very hard and me and my partner found it hard to sleep due to this. The carpet is a little unclean and our shower wouldn’t drain due to it being clogged up with hair!

Diamonds Lodge was very clean and tidy. The rooms were modern and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and facilities i.e tea and coffee making facilities, TV and kettle and even had a mini fridge which was great for keeping drinks cool. We had a private bathroom which although small, was very clean. Could have done with a small shelf in the shower but that is the only recommendation. The ladies seemed very friendly and hard working and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Only recommendation would be a small shelf in the shower unit to put shampoo and conditioner, shower gel on.

The room was clean and spacious and had all the equipments I need (and even came with a small fridge!). Location was excellent, there's a bus stop right outside that could take me to the city centre. But usually I just take a little walk instead, which only took around 10-15 mins. The whole environment felt very safe. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I was a sole traveller with a 25kg luggage and emailed about my situation beforehand, so the staff kindly arranged a bedroom on the ground floor for me. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The bed squeaked easily whenever I move. Staying on the ground floor also means I can hear who comes in/out since the walls are not very thick.

Nice spacious room and en suite, toiletries, towels and hair dryer provided. Coffee, tea milk and biscuits with a kettle also provided. Clean room minus some slight stains. Host was nice and friendly and takes you directly to your room. Across the road from the hospital which was really handy for me as a student on placement there

The room was spotless clean, including the en-suite. The lady who showed us to our room and was very friendly. The premises is more or less directly across the road from York hospital, and the bus stop outside to take you to the main shopping area. Will definitely be coming back there every time i stay go to York. I thought we would here the sirens from ambulances, but we didnt as they have double glazing.

There was nothing i didn't like. Every thing was there for my requirements.

Comfy bed. Good facilities. Friendly staff answered the phone quick and let us in easily, let me stay in an extra half an hour this morning so we could have a lie in. Cleaner wasn't informed about this and did knock on but bless her was very understanding and apologetic. Sorry if we made a lot of noise in the middle of the night, hopefully the other guests didn't hear!

It was just what we needed for a last minute sleep over. Me and my daughter decided we wanted to sleep out. We live in Fulford in york so it was super close. They were ever so accommodating. Friendly, helpful, reasonable priced. The bed was so comfy, the facilities were. Fantastic as we went last minute, we didn't take anything. But we didn't need anything either, everything was provided. We watched Netflix and some proper telly and had a super good night's sleep.

They fridge was noisy.but that just because I sleep lightly. Most people probably wouldn't notice. But it didnt affect the stay over in any way.

It was a very good experience staying in diamond lodge

We don’t like bathroom of my room because of the basin that was very small but except basin everything was nice in the room. Staff was very efficient and specially house owner ms Shireen was a lovely lady very kind and helpful. She made our stay in diamond lodge wonderful.

Easy access to town centre. Simple keycard that was quick and easy to use to gain access. Had all basics needed such as mini fridge, hairdryer, fan and heater. Comfy bed.

Noticeable attempted repairs damages, but that’s by-the-by. I paid £170 for 2 nights and wanted to stay an extra night, but had to pay another £160 for one more night :/

When staying at Diamond Lodge, it was very comfortable and clean. What I did like is that we came to visit the York Christmas markets and came with a group of friends 4 in total it was lovely how we were all able to stay in the same room. This allowed outle stay to be more fun all being together. I was worried we would be up alright hearing sirens as we were close to the hostpital, but honestly, it wasn't a issue would def stay here again thankyou

It wasn't a issue to us as we came and went as we pleased and communication in arrival was great inly thinv I would say is there isn't somebody around at all times
