Great location, felt quite safe compared to other locations in the street where i've stayed in the past. The room had everything I needed, the ceiling fan was a great help, my windows was facing a very thin backyard corridor with machinery/ventilation which is both a good and a bad thing : Less noise from the street but not much light/airflow

The room was a bit dusty and the bathroom didn't smell very good (although clean) and the desk was leaning forward so a lot of things would fall off. Wish there was an option to keep luggage before/after your stay

Central location. Accessible to Bart , Walgreens, trader's joe. Walking Distance to fisherman's wharf, China Town, embarcadero. Clean and equipped pantry

Amazing value for money. The hotel is quite basic, but clean and very centrally located. I would definitely stay again.

For the price there is nothing to complain about.

As far as location is concerned it was great. Close to the tram terminal, subway and buses stopping outside the hotel. If you are into shopping it is all on your doorstep. The brew bar attached to the hotel is fantastic, both the beer and food are excellent. The onsite laundry was great, and the kitchen gave it the feel of a hostel not a hotel.

As with any city centre hotel it was noisy, and noisy on a par with New York. There were no hotel staff on site apart from cleaners in the morning, which meant if you wanted any local information you had to go there or to the information kiosk near the subway. Reception is in the Stafford Hotel on Powell Street, around the corner. As far as the city is concerned be prepared to dodge the homeless and the drugged up walking dead. However, beggars aren't a problem.

There is no staff on site and you have to check in around the corner at another hotel

The room and location suited my needs perfectly.

The hotel was great value. Rooms are a good size, clean and modern. Fairly basic but everything you need. Fridge in room after I asked for one. Laundry and kitchen facilities available if you need them, which was handy. Location was great, I was worried about the area being a bit rough but it was fine, it is close to some dodgy bits so careful which way you go when leaving the hotel. At check in we were given drinks vouchers for the bar downstairs which was a great micro brewery. That was a nice touch and the bar and beers were great. I’d 100% stay here again

Shower pressure wasn’t great but it was fine. I don’t really have any complaints thought, it was great.

For this price, being able to just walk out of the hotel to the Powell BART station, to Union Square or across the hill to Chinatown was incredible.

Some rooms face a brick wall and get very little natural light. If you want to spend significant daytime in the rooms make sure you don't get one of those.

The hostel was quiet and easy to access. The bed was fluffy and comfortable, and I had everything I needed in the bedroom, including conditioner! There were locks on the window and door and for a woman travelling alone, I felt safe. The bar below was a nice chill spot to end the night with friends. Would definably recommend and go back.

They are having a weird security problem with Booking where I got scam messages through their messaging and even email. They would always be quick to respond, asking not to click on anything and that they were scam messages. Some hangers in the room would be nice, and an extra hand towel.

“Just a room” is what my partner and I referred to it as. Nothing more. Nothing less. It simply gets the job done. No complaints about the room itself. Simple room. With an amazing price. In a flawless location. They also had a full (public) restaurant and bar connected to the lobby. Has a fireplace! Great spot to hangout.

Provided the price, there is nothing I could rightfully say about the overall quality of our stay. The only thing I didn’t appreciate is having a cold shower during peak-shower time (i think it was around 10am on Saturday)
