The location was great - just a 3 minutes walk to 33 station on the green line, which goes through central places (and you can also change lines easily from close stations). The room was spacious and perfectly planned - including a small fridge and a closet to unpack the luggage (which most of the rooms we checked in NY do not have). The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK - included all basic ingredients (bread and spreads, pastries, pancakes, french toasts, cornflakes, yogurt, some fruits and drinks - coffee, tea and orange juice). The terrace is very nice (in the summer we would probably eat breakfast outside, but it was too cold for this). The hot chocolate in the lobby was excellent! (Our stay was for Christmas and New Year - but I would leave it all year long...).

During busy days/hours, waiting for the elevator took long time (there are only 2 elevators for the whole hotel) - most of the time it was OK. The breakfast could include more healthy stuff - more fruits (usually there were only apples, sometimes also bananas), vegetables (there were none), maybe eggs (there were none). Anyway, it was satisfactory.. The breakfast space was a couple of times too crowded (this probably does not happen in the summer, when people can go to the terrace), but maybe replacing some of the sofas with small tables and chairs would help).

The location was amazing not too far from anything. Not in a busy area such as Time Square. The hotel staff were polite and always happy to help. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day. The breakfast was always fully stocked. I still think about those banana muffins… The view in my room was an amazing surprise as it was of the Empire State Building. Completely unexpected. Overall this was a great hotel would definitely stay here again.

The downfall was when arriving at the property we had booked 2 rooms. One group of us went to our room and one group of us went the the other room. To then find it was occupied by guests already staying. The hotel staff were so apologetic and were helpful with everything. Also the breakfast is not a cooked breakfast. The seating area on the roof (where breakfast is served) has very low tables to eat from. Great for lovely weather to sit outside on the roof deck. But in the colder weather not as practical.

Staff were very hospitable - particularly at reception and aimed to be helpful with advice and guidance. Good location in midtown Manhattan and can walk to a lot of attractions - Empire State, the Summit (Vanderbilt) and Tomes Square etc. Breakfast on the terrace was ok and probably much better in the summer (warmer) months. Variety was reasonable but would benefit from some hot food like scrambled eggs or bacon! Access from Grand Central or Penn Station is good - walkable!

Only particular issue would have been the transport provided through partner taxi company to JFK. Reception quoted 90 dollars for private taxi but this ended up as 120 dollars after tax. I have no idea if the driver was correct about tax or chancing his arm but the price needs to be confirmed prior to arriving at the airport!

Friendly welcome. The team are great. The communal areas need more regular cleaning and TLC Room with balcony was lovely but water temperature cool and no bedside table or desk space to work. Bar was lovely and views great but again needs a refurb. The breakfast box is okay - water, apple, yoghurt and a cereal bar. The Murray Hill Diner a few minutes away is a good option. Good location.

Needs a lot of TLC More attention to cleaning - communal carpets

Good choice for breakfast, room was very good. Hotel location was perfect location for the areas I was travelling too just a block away from the green subway line north and south.

Room was not ready when we arrived had to wait 15mins, was the middle of summer and arrived soaking with sweat with two kids just wanted to get in a shower ASAP. A guest thought it was ok to take a whole outdoor shaded table to read a book during breakfast was not eating or having coffee, could do with some shades for the other tables during sunny season.

Great location, checked me in early and accommodated a paid upgrade.

The room shown in pictures, on the website while booking, was not the one in person, much smaller. As such had to upgrade, since stayed for almost a week. Unfortunately the breakfast room was not functional yet and credits to a coffee shop, a block away, bit hard to get to in the cold mornings of NYC. Please do consider putting in a coffee machine like a Nespresso in the room and perhaps a music speaker system and/or a radio. The hotel is great on design and one would have expected these basic in room amenities from the Mondrian.

Hello, my experience in general terms was good. The service of the staff that received us was very friendly.

Regarding room 312 that they assigned us, it was unpleasant to arrive and find the toilet dirty. The soap ran out and was not refilled the rest of the days and the shower door is out of square and does not close properly. I recommend that the corresponding adjustments be made.

The property was clean and well Maintained and quick to respond on our requests.

The main reception area was too small with barely a wooden platform to sit and wait. No sitting arrangement for the guests. Also, even the terrace breakfast place was nice to sit and see the Manhattan from the top, I wish they had better options for breakfast and made it quick to refill. The staff was trying their best but guests had to wait for a long time for the hot food to be refilled.

Location was excellent, right beside subway station. Staff were amazing and so friendly and willing to help. Free refreshments in the mini bar was a nice added touch.

The breakfast selection was not great and on our last morning there was nothing left except coffee and yoghurt even though there was still 30/40 mins of breakfast time left.

I really love the room, it was comfortable, with lot of space, modern look and the bed was the best !!! with space to put the luggage and a wardrobe. very Chic and modern. I would prefer wood floor instead of carpet but that’s my opinion. pets are allowed. Nice view, we were on the 9th floor. breakfast was included and that was a plus but the quality can be improved. The room was cleaned everyday, with nice smell. the sheets were amazing. the bathroom also was spacious and luminous. Mondrian Park it’s a great choice for the hotel and the location.

the breakfast was not great, pastries or bread weren’t fresh, I would change that for something else. although it was an overall great experience at Mondrian
