I loved my queen sky room! I was on the 20 something floor with a fantastic view and I could see the Empire State Building from my bed! The rooftop was accessible but off season nothing open, but this made for perfect sunsets (when it wasn’t raining) and almost 360 views of Manhattan ! Magical. The room was bigger than I expected and perfect for one person, there was room for my luggage, and I think would be reasonable for two people. The bed was very comfortable.

Whilst most staff were friendly, the building is a little old and run down (hallways, elevators) and the elevators can take a long time. I had poor service from the barista downstairs and wouldn’t bother getting a coffee there unfortunately.

The location and staff were amazing so friendly and approachable. The hotel lounge and lobby were beautiful and the staff kindly upgraded us as it was my 30th birthday really going above and beyond. When we got to the room they left out a card and treats honestly amazing ! The maid service came every day and regardless of the time we left the room. The hotel was walking distance from so many attractions, restaurants and subway stations. The view was amazing from our room although due to poor weather we didn’t get to try out the roof top bar.

The room was quite dusty especially under the bed and on top of the alarm clock and we found some used issues in the side of the bed when we arrived.

Room was very small (standard for NYC I think!) but well appointed. The extra large bed was sooooo comfortable, especially the pillows. Watching the sunset from the rooftop bar was stunning. Conveniently located in Midtown and close to multiple subway lines.

I deliberately booked the more expensive room in order to get the advertised views and requested a high floor but this wasn’t noticed before we checked in so were at back of the hotel on the 15th floor with an alright view to one side, but mostly overlooking offices. Front desk staff were apologetic but it was disappointing as our first time in NYC and the view was the sole reason we booked this hotel. We still had a lovely time though.

Incredible room view over the Empire State Building! The rooftop was amazing as well. Comfortable bed. Great quality toiletries. 24/7 desk, flexible check in. Great location!

The sink in the corridor wasn’t quite convenient, the room was pretty small. No robes. The floor was ice cold but you can only buy sleepers. The hairdryer looked really old. I wish they provided more water. Very expensive (plus the urban fee).

Location

Small rooms. Staff generally good, but someone at front desk tried suspiciously to charge my credit card 47 dollars several days after my stay.

Excellent location. Very clean well maintained rooms. Really enjoyed the communal workspace and rooftop. Really nice well stocked bathroom.

Very pricey for the size of rooms but to be expected in Manhattan. Could do with a little more storage space. And no coffee machine in the room.

- The rooms were comfortable, albeit small, but that is to be expected. We had a pretty nice view from the 22nd floor. - The staff were accommodating; we had the breakfast package and the staff were excellent and kind, and the food was some of the best we had during our time in NYC. - We were given some macarons on arrival as we had informed the hotel that it was our honeymoon

- The elevators were quite slow and during peak times would leave you waiting longer than usual, as only 2 of the 3 elevators went above the 8th floor. - During out 6 night stay there were 3 occasions where the rooftop was booked out for private events, meaning it was inaccessible for guests - this ranged from for a couple of hours to the entire day

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Arlo Nomad! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of excellent. When we mentioned that we weren’t thrilled with the view from our original room, they not only listened to our concerns but also upgraded us to a better room without hesitation. Their attentiveness and genuine desire to make us feel welcome truly stood out. The hotel’s design is a masterpiece — modern, sleek, and thoughtfully curated to create a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Every detail felt intentional, from the stylish decor to the smart use of space. It’s the kind of place that feels Instagram-worthy at every turn. And let’s talk about the location! Situated right in the heart of the city, the Arlo Nomad makes it incredibly easy to explore everything New York has to offer. Whether it was dining, shopping, or sightseeing, we were just steps away from some of the best the city has to offer. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. Between the impeccable service, stunning design, and unbeatable location, it’s a gem I’d gladly return to for my next trip!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Arlo Nomad in New York City, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. While the standard rooms are on the smaller side, they are exceptionally comfortable and well-designed, making efficient use of the space. The chic, modern decor adds to the charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One slight drawback is the limited storage space, but it's a minor inconvenience when you consider the hotel's superb location. Nestled in the heart of Manhattan, the Arlo Nomad offers easy access to some of the city's most iconic sights and bustling hotspots, making it an ideal base for exploring. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is vibrant and friendly, thanks to the welcoming staff who go out of their way to ensure guests have a memorable stay. The bustling lobby and communal areas provide a great space to relax and meet fellow travellers. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Arlo Nomad and am already looking forward to my next visit. It's definitely my go-to hotel whenever I'm in NYC.

There should be a little more shelves and hanging storage in the rooms. Bar for coffee is a bit expensive.

The hotel is in a very good spot in the city, with easy access to public transportation. The facilities were great, and the room matched the description and photos on the platform. However, once you’re actually staying in the room, it feels particularly small (at least the one we stayed in). It creates some difficulty in terms of space – there wasn’t even room for a suitcase! I would suggest adding a coffee machine in the room, as it would be nice to have a coffee in the morning without having to leave. The staff were pleasant and very helpful, which was a big plus. Pricing is on the expensive side, especially considering the size of the room and the fact that it didn’t offer any notable views. That said, pricing can be relative – perhaps it’s reasonable by U.S. standards, but I’m not sure. To sum up, it’s definitely a good option for staying close to the heart of Manhattan with decent facilities and amenities. However, be prepared to compromise either on price or comfort depending on your priorities.
