Almost everything I like about this hostel. I booked for a bed in 4 shared bedroom. It’s really beautiful and I stayed for 6 days 5 nights. My purpose was to travel Manchester while writing up my debut novel aim to be published next year. The hostel is really beautiful, the drawings on the wall make the hostel stands out! I stayed in a hostel in London, it was so terrible sharing 3 bunk bed, but this hostel serves 2 bunk bed which provides bigger height, so that I can sit properly inside the compartment, bigger width compartment. In terms of toilet, it’s really spacious with bath tub that I will not get that in London (even they also provides liquid soap which I really impressed!). The sink is bigger so that the water will not splash out. The lobby is really beautiful with plants and dark green wall, where I work on my laptop there.

Only internet. The manager said the internet is currently in the process of reviewing their package from the internet provider. My recommendation to the hostel is probably you only can allow the internet to be used by the real guests, because the internet can also be used by public and pretend they are guests and they can use the internet freely.

I liked location of the Hostel, so I never took public transportation during my visit in Manchester. Also the staff was so helpful, I thought I lost my glasses then I told them, and they helped me a lot. Thank you.

Actually almost everything was okay but the last night two guys come into room. And they were so disrespectful. They were not clean at all. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I heard two people were talking, then when I went to bathroom, they were eating there. - disgusting really - they said sorry and I told them they can go to Kitchen. It was my last night there, but I could not sleep at all because of them. It is not about the Hostel but still I wanted to say.

Went for an operation and used the room as a base for recovery. Great suite, very large and good kitchen and ensuite facilities. Clean bathroom, kitchen and linen. Massive Super King bed which was very comfy. Floor was hoovered but could have done with a wash over. Small leak in corner of room when it rained - its an old building. Staff were very grateful when we told them about it. Not their fault. Street outside is busy and vibrant (and noisy) but if you want a quiet night...go to a different area as the Northern Quarter will not be for you. Great access to Shudehill and the tram and train stations.

No recycling facilities. Especially as it has a kitchen, and there are no public recycling bins in Manchester in the streets (no idea why).

The location was clean and presentable. The price was worth it. The staff was amazing and helpful during my stay. The rooms are very well put together as well as the beds. And the common area is very clean and presentable as well,

I walked around three times and still had trouble finding the location, which was almost hidden, so I ended up asking a person from the other side of the street. A sign could help to know where people are staying when they find the place. Other than that, it was a very good stay. I would recommend and would love to visit there again. Thank you so much

The city center is less than a 10-minute walk away. The room for four was clean like nowhere else! At the same time, I was excited about the beds. The bunk beds have at least one wall filled and stand in the middle of the room, back to back. So if there are two of you traveling, you have an absolute privacy because you can't see the other two people.

Be prepared for a busier location (lots of people and loud music from restaurants even after midnight). But the thing that scared me the most were the vibrating windows (due to the loud music), I really hope they won't crack one day. :D

This hostel was located very conveniently within the northern quarter, a short walk from the bus terminal, various grocery stores and museums/galleries. The dorm was comfortable, has its own bathroom and was not overcrowded. It also had the old Selina bunks with a privacy/light blocking curtain and inbuilt lockers which are always great.

This hostel also has a kitchen for self catering but was missing a few staples such as bowls, chef knives and salt for the majority of my stay. Other than that it was still a great communal space to meet and connect with other travelers.

I love everything about here i stayed here 2 times. Even at my first time the second I laid down in that bunk bed and pulled the curtain I felt so home. That’s why i chosed here on my second time also without a thought. Next time i wanna enjoy their comedy show also I think down there somewhere there’s a stage.

A little bit pricey this time but maybe it was a high season i dont know. First time was June this time September. Free Towels. At my first time there was a couple of them on my bed but this time they told they’re now paid.

Great experience at Selina. Lovely and helpful staff, smooth check in and even got offered a complimentary welcome drink. Breakfast was really tasty and definitely worth it. Nice kitchen area that has plenty of space to hang around and socialize. Room was okay, mine was just next to the main street, it can get a bit noisy on a Fri/ Saturday night. Also, I understood there was a live stand up show each night at the pub next door and they had recommendations for a lot of activities happening each day, that was nice.

Bed is okay and comfortable, one thing I would have appreciated was if the little storage above there was placed elsewhere, I would hit it all the time with my leg while turning, might be just me tho.

For my very first time staying in a hostel, I would stay that it was definitely a good option to stay at the place. As an introvert, it had just the right vibe. The people in there were friendly but stayed to themselves. The levels of cleanliness were satisfactory considering it’s a hostel and the price. But if I had the option to, I would definitely stay here again!

Obviously it’s in the city centre so it can be expected, but the noice coming from outside was quite high. So definitely bring earplugs. Also in the bunk, the storage box was quite bulky which I kept bumping into.

Good location, clean, comfy, beds with curtains

Wanted to have a coffee at the morning but receptionist told me it’s not possible (probably there was no person to take care of the coffee machine)… but few minutes later he was making a coffee from the same machine for his friends… would be nice if he could make it for me as well as it was 1st day of Christmas so all coffee places were closed. I have to ask for a free check-in drink as the receptionist told me nothing about it. Only figured out thanks to the information in the elevator
