Location of the hotel and staff were very good. Ms. Rachel at the Reception Desk was very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was very boring. We stayed for 5 days and had the same breakfast every single day. Not one change in the main breakfast items. Also it would be great if we can keep the pork food items separate from other food items so that Veg and Muslim guests can eat the food without any hesitation. The food we had for Lunch and Dinner at the hotel was very tasty. However, a little more variety in the menu would be good.

This hotel is in a brilliant location. Rooms were lovely and bathroom stunning. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming but a special mention to Reema at reception, Megan in the bar/restaurant and Lucia also working in the restaurant during breakfast. They took time to find out how our day went and remembered little bits of information that we had shared and followed up. They also gave us excellent suggestions on what to do and where to eat in Edinburgh. Exceptional guest relations from these 3 ladies. Thank you. Breakfast was absolutely incredible and I must mention the coffee that was served. Truly delicious. Really really good. We did eat a few times in the restaurant in the evening and I cannot fault the food or service.

A few areas of improvement - rooms were very dusty even though Housekeeping serviced the room. We asked for a safe to be fixed 3 times however it was never followed up on and never repaired. We misplaced an item of clothing and asked if it was accidentally mixed up with the laundry however no one got back to us. This is in no way impacted our stay and would highly recommend this Hotel if you are staying in Edinburgh. The excellent friendly service and comfortable rooms far outweigh the minor areas of concern. When we visit again, this will definitely be our go to hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I like the gush of fragrance every time we come in the entrance and the staff are all very nice, special mention to Gaudav - restaurant staff. He has been ery accomodating from day 1 to our last day. It is nice if a staff remembers their guests. The place is very accessible and near the centre. Getting uber taxi was very easy as well. The room was nice and aesthetic. There were 3 of us in the room, the sofa bed was a big too.

The pancakes were hard from the breakfast buffet and have limited fruits in the fruit bowl, otherwise, good. My uncle also wanted to order steak and it wasn’t available. The aircon/heater in our room seems like not working well.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, it's nice to see a smile in the morning! Very attentive and efficient. The bed may be one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! And the whole hotel had a quality feel. Very impressed.

I can only comment on one downfall, the same as all hotels. Although there is a desk and mirror, and socket....they are never placed quite right to function as a dressing table. Perfect for laptops etc but not ideal for drying hair. Oh and hidden HDMI on the TV, it's nice to have the option to stream via laptop, rather than just the usual tv channels or paid for movies.

There were many things to like: the food at the breakfast was really really good and tasty and the value for the breakfast is worth it so would recommend getting this included with your room! The hotel was super super clean and the design was lovely and modern. All the toilets and facilities were clean around the hotel lobby and restaurant. We had an iron, ironing board, and a hairdryer. The shower was big and nice. The view from the 6th floor room was incredible. The hotel staff were all so so lovely and ready to help whenever we needed anything. The gym was nice and clean and well equipped. The hotel bar was also nice with some good cocktails. We also added an extra birthday package for £70 which provided us with late check out, balloons, chocolate, bottle of prosecco and two cocktails. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel - amazing value for money!

One thing that could be improved is the storage space in the room as this was quite low. I also think that the breakfast could have more sweet options but not necessarily something we disliked - plus we understand it is not a massive hotel so hence the options are a bit more limited.

Did not have breakfast

Received phone call before I had reached my home to say that there had been drinks charged to room not paid for in the sum of approximately 20 pounds. As we were a group I said they could charge it to my card. Having checked with the other members of the group they were adamant that all drinks had been paid for. In any event, nothing was mentioned at checkout which was the hotel’s error. Given that we were a group of seven who had several meals and drinks in the hotel and tipped generously I felt it was in poor taste to seek this payment. It soured what was otherwise a very positive experience.

Stayed here as a group of 3 for 2 nights in 2 rooms. Beautiful hotel with nice amenities and a good breakfast. Staff was really nice, especially the manager and staff overseeing the breakfast. Cleanliness was also superb. It’s very centrally located, too, so makes it super easy to explore the city. Highly recommended.

We had one issue in one of the rooms. There was a smell coming from the bathroom, beneath the floors close to the shower. Could be a leak or something, even though there wasn’t any leakage visible, so the smell was the only indication. Throwing a towel on top of the floor definitely helped, but I hope that the technician will figure this out before it becomes a bigger issue. Also, with 700€ per room for a 2 nights stay and w/o breakfast almost too expensive, imo. But unfortunately, that’s a global trend and separate discussion, anyway.

Room is clean, beds are comfortable (not possible to sleep in sofa though). Shower is good, nice toiletaries and clean towels. Food and coffee on cafe are nice.

Staff are not much of care: looks like they are fed up. Waiter was almost throwing stuff on our table very loudly. Was feeling not welcomed and it’s when paying £253 for the night… That’s why I don’t find it value for money. Service is not a high class. No single smile. Location is also not great: not even easy to find decent coffee place around.. and we were thinking it’s almost city Center: but it was scary to walk around when it’s dark and it’s after 5pm winter time 😬

I am not sure why I had a wheelchair accessible room. I guess that is standard and very nice. I would have preferred a room with a bathroom with a closed shower stall. The wet floor was unpleasant. I love haggis but it was overcooked and dry on the breakfast buffet. Peanut butter for North Americans available and more Scottish cheese available would be nice. Everything was wonderful and delicious. Those are just preferences
