Unlike the negative reviews, the rooms are equipped with an air con for cooling and heating (up to 86 degrees) which worked perfectly (winter time). Yes, you should know how to operate it or at least try. Our room was cleaned every two days which was sufficient. Warm water was also available 6am-8am without delays. In the evenings as well. Yes, the elevator 1 had its turbulences when going up with more than 3 ppl. But it seemed to have improved during our stay. Shoutout to all the cool front desk managers, who assisted in every way by providing honest service. Fair pricing, marvelous location. Would recommend fosho.

Hardwood floors instead of dust absorbing suspicious carpets. No unnecessary clunky bed covers. Clean and quality linen and towels. Cushions comfy and plenty. Bathroom newly furnished, always squeeky clean. Just the basics but clean and functional. Almost a full size (European) fridge and microwave in the room. Extremely helpful and genuinely friendly staff. Must mention Lilliam, Anish and Crystal in particular. They were all so helpful, polite and friendly.

Hotel entrance signage needs to be worked on. Was insanely difficult to locate the entrance!... see photos below and you will see what i mean. And a small coffee machine in the room would be perfect.

Fabulous location, midtown on Madison Avenue. Exceptionally located to busses, subway and walking to all the major sights. The Q32 bus to the airport is just a couple of blocks up. There is a huge food market directly across the road with hot / salad bars, large supermarket and dine in cafe. The hotel has friendly reception staff, is clean, has two elevators and is easy to find. Our room was cleaned every day, had plenty of toiletries and the air con worked well. Despite being on Madison Avenue, our room was quiet. It was certainly tiny bit we managed. The bathroom was newish and functional. Great value for NYC.

The hotel boasts an excellent location near various amenities such as restaurants, food shops, and pharmacies. It is conveniently close to subway stations and transportation hubs, as well as within walking distance of numerous popular landmarks, making it an ideal starting point for exploring New York City. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, which were very useful.

The hotel may experience occasional noise from police sirens and city sounds, which is typical for a city center location. However, this is beyond the hotel's control. Despite this, I was able to have a peaceful sleep as the noise subsided. The only concern I had with the room was regarding the TV, as several channels showed no signal or were not properly tuned. Overall, my stay at the hotel was enjoyable; the staff were welcoming and helpful.

My three-day stay at Hotel 27 by LuxUrban in New York was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel's location in the heart of the city made it incredibly convenient to explore Manhattan's attractions. Saw a lot of complaints about the amenities, the rooms, key cards or locks not working as I began my visit, which did make me worry. The new management under Luxurban must have corrected the key card/lock issue - which understandably caused a lot of people distress - just in time for my stay, or perhaps just for my room. Staff were friendly and made honest efforts to answer questions; housekeeping were hard-working as well. It is a pretty bare-bones hotel in some regards (no iron/board or hair dryer in my room), but my queen room had a microwave and mini-fridge, which I really appreciated. It was small, but clean and comfortable, and I didn't have any issues come up in the three nights I spent there. Overall, a good value if you keep your expectations reasonable.

The only thing that really bothered me was the draftiness of the bathroom window, and how long it took the shower to warm up. I had to run the shower for probably a good 3-5 minutes to get it up to temp. Wifi could have been stronger. Management should also change the facade to more prominently display the new name and make it look a little less... seedy? A blacked-out door and window with the name in stick-on letters and numbers doesn't make a good first impression.

The room was spacious and very clean. Great location near train station, coffee shops, restaurants and supermarket. Room got cleaned every day. We recommend it.

In terms of the room and hotel it was great. But they messed up our reservation, we got charged twice and it appeared on the system like we didn’t show up, this caused that almost every day of our stay someone knocked the door to see if we were there, one night someone just opened while we were sleeping, we asked multiple times at the reception and they said they left a note stating that we were there but the next day the same happened. One specific staff member (a man)who worked the night shift was very rude and had a terrible attitude. Also the tv was not working and there is no safe in the room, the bed was too small for two persons.

Great location, comfortable bed, nice shower. Curtains did not let the sun come in, which is great. Air conditioner working properly. Bonus: room 1105 had a fridge and a microwave. I was terrified after reading the reviews about the keys and safety, but everything worked well and the receptionists knew us by the room we were.

There was a glass instead of curtains in the shower box. However there could be curtains to help to keep the bathroom dry after the shower. We didn't have iron in the room and we didn't check if the hotel had it. My friend requestes the hair drier and it wasn't available. Maybe having one per bedroom in the future will make a huge difference.

Quiet location, but of course too far from center city to walk all the time (about 23 blocks). Room was cleaned and bathroom too. The bed a bit too small for a couple and very soft mattress (uncomfortable specially for my 6.3” - 240 pound husband) hardly room for a couple. She said they were “Queen beds “ but they were doubles..

The entrance with the psychic shop advertised loudly and more noticeably than the hotel. It gives the hotel a weird vibe when you first walk in . The check in receptionist in the afternoon when we checked in was not friendly and the first room she assigned us had the lock busted on the door. The second room had a bit up TV, that barely work. No cable, just AMAZON. Streaming.
