Room was checked and done daily same as in hotel, towels changed as well if needed. Room was right spacious, heating worked (yes I needed it in may) . And Location is very next to Line 1 metro, and not so far by walk from Cuatro Caminos station on which you come if you come by Metro from Airport. Bathrooms are clean and if busy you can use others available on floor. Bigger ones have hairdryer too.

There is no view, but it wasn't expected either.. Idea is to explore city not hotel. Only minus is location as its quite far from city centre so if you plan to go daily often between city and room for some reason.

The staff especially Alberto were excellent. Helpful. Always had time to advise on how to get around the city. The bed was very comfortable. The room comfortable. The ceiling fan was most welcome The shared showers were excellent, always spotless. Water hot I felt safe in the area. There were plenty of cafes. The Metro station was easy to use. And 2/3 minutes from the hostal. I was able to leave my luggage with reception after checking out, as I had a late flight, which meant I could make the most of the day. Even took a shower before leaving too.

Only that I didn't have a kettle in the room. But perhaps if I asked they would have let me have one.

Very clean room and very efficient use of the space, the shower was clean and bed was comfortable. The AC was working and a must in Madrid during the summer. Staff were so lovely and always ready to help. Location is fantastic, direct access to linea 1 which takes you to all the main touristic attractions and monuments. The hostel is situated in quiet street of a lively and safe neighbourhood. Great for eating out and shopping until late.

The rooms aren’t soundproof and my room was giving onto the street which means I got woken up by the bin men on Saturday.

I made the booking, because of the good value for money. It was fine for one night. I needed a comfortable bed and a good shower and those were the reasons, why I booked this hostel . Friendly staff at the reception. From the airport it will take ca. 45 min. by metro and the train has to be changed twice. The hostel does not have a lift and I recommend a stay only with light luggage. The room does not have a lot of space. For people who like to spend the most time outdoor and prefer to eat out it is perfect for 2 nights. It does not have a restaurant. I found one coffee bar not so far away. The hostel is around the corner of the metro station Estrecho, line Nr. 1. For soccer fans the stadium is not so far away. With a good running metro system you can go where you like. In general I recommend to speak some words/ sentences in Spanish.

One of the best Hostels, I’ve been. I stayed only one night because my flight was canceled and I am sorry I didn’t find it earlier to stay longer. Almost everything I like - the rooms are newly renovated, very clean, smell fresh. The receptionist is very kind person - friendly, smiley and ready always to help. Location is perfect - only 4-5 min walking distance from the metro, close to Bernabeu Stadium, in very calm and safety neighborhood. My room was facing the inner court, so it was extremely quiet from street noise which was the most pleasant surprise since I’m a light-sleeper and desperately needed sleep, also there are blinds which isolate the light perfectly. Only neighbor rooms could be noisier depending on guest because the walls are rather thin. There is fast unlimited internet, sink in the room and smart flat screen TV. There is fan on the ceiling and small radiator but I don’t know how the temperature would be during hot summer or cold winter. Come back again and will recommend definitely

Very small things which didn’t bother at all: It would be nice to have trash bin in the room. The bed mattress is hard and the pillow is very flat, not very comfy. Missing a safe in the room to store you valuables. The doors are open and close heavily which make a lot of noise from/to the neighbor rooms. Inner wall/door sound proof would be great.

I loved the location and area. Its a 1 mintute walk to Estrecho station which take you everywhere. I loved the 15 minute stroll to the Santiago Bernabeu. Location and value canmot be beaten. Gracias....

Its a hostel. What do you expect? Everything was as i expected for the money i paid. I would have liked a safety deposit box in my room (other hostels for a similar price do have them).

I love Hostal Falfes, and I stay there at least once or twice a year when I visit Spain. The location is excellent, just one block off of the Estrecho Metro station, and four stops from Chamartin train station. It's an easy ride to Sol to visit the city center as well. The neighborhood has everything you need, bars and restaurants, groceries, and a little shopping too!. It's always very clean and super affordable. An excellent value.

When we came to our room, the bed mattress was rounded and didn't look very comfortable. Since my back really hurts when I sleep on a bad mattress, we went down to ask if we could change the room. The woman who worked there was so sweet! She took us upstairs and showed us 2 other rooms and we could choose which one we'd like to stay in. They were designed almost the same, but the mattress was nice. Thanks a lot for this! The staff was generally very kind and helpful ❤. We liked that we could choose if we want to pay in advance or at the checkout.

The rooms are not quite beautiful as on the photos, but it's enough. The walls are very thin.

Location was convenient and room was fine for the price. Friendly check-in and efficient cleaning services.

Lack of controls on the radiator meant it was a little too warm in the room most of the time unless the window was open. Noisy doors meant I was woken multiple times in the night by people going to the shared bathrooms

The hostel is very clean and well kept. The bathrooms are cleaned on a regular basis and there was never any issues. The rooms are basic as expected but excellent for the price paid compared to other Madrid hotels/hostels. The hostel looks like it has been recently refurbished.

No English channels on tv. Nowhere to purchase a drink or snack within the hostel.
