Clean, plenty of things to do.

One male desk staff was confrontational and somewhat rude to my wife who is profoundly deaf. We chose not to eat there because of his behavior. They have a very nice kitchen that serves breakfast lunch and dinner for about the price it costs to go out in the area. Every other staff member was exceptional. (Consejo: no llames la attention a la gente, no fue necesario, y discúlpate cuando veas que haz fallado.)

They were very accommodating for a particular issue I have. Great lighting, good size though cozy. The bed comes down from the ceiling. The bed was noisy, but I fell asleep fast and didn't wake until my alarm. Good shower. I could hear the neighboring rooms, but it wasn't disturbing for me. They were very friendly on arrival. It's a close to all the things I needed. There's a small Alcampo right around the corner.

Could have been cleaner in the bathroom. I wiped the sink when it was wet and it was fairly dirty.

Although I was aware that this is student accommodation, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were functional, clean and well-designed. The bed was very comfortable and the shower fittings of a good standard. For the students there are great cooking facilities, recreational areas and even a canteen.

My room's windows opened to a street ... The trash collection woke me.

It is very up to date. It is a student residence as well so it doesn’t feel like you’re in a hotel most of the time. It has a nice patio and the pool is great. Room was small as expected but they made the most out of the space with the bed coming down the ceiling.

The hanging bed can be very noisy if you move a lot while sleeping. It has no AC so the room was a bit hot.

Very clean and great facilities, especially for a longer stay. I had to study while there so it was ideal to be able to use the kitchen area on my lunch breaks. Location was perfect for us (we travelled for a football match) but not super central

Internet signal was not great in the room despite being a student accommodation, I had to join online classes but the connection regularly dropped or slowed down

I booked Funway Academic Resort to be close to an event I was attending. The reviews were positive. That would be a good break from the large hotel chains. I really liked it. The informal and relaxed atmosphere was fantastic. I booked it again for my next trip to Madrid. Thanks everyone!

I did not dislike anything

We lived on the 1st floor in a quiet room overlooking the inner courtyard. We really liked the special bed and the two-tone blackout. There is a daily cleaning, everything was perfectly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and the coffee was delicious. The pool was very pleasant and it was a great experience to explore the communal areas. The yard is a real little oasis. The receptionists were very helpful, they helped us with parking, offered a breakfast place for the weekend. The metro is a few minutes walk away, there are several shops, breakfast places and restaurants nearby. If you are afraid of a higher bed or would like a large room, please read the description carefully before booking. We are very satisfied, we will stay here next time.

I was at Funway during a week of vacation and I assure you it was the best location I've been to in Madrid. The metro is close to the hotel and it is only ten minutes to the Center (Gran Vía). There is a huge variety of restaurants around the hotel, apart from the fact that the main avenue, two streets up, is always busy and comes alive day and night. Despite not having taken advantage of the hotel's swimming pool, I still went to look and saw that it was a good space for leisure and rest, and it still has an outdoor leisure area where I stayed every night with the pleasant nocturnal climate of Madrid. The staff are always happy and smiling and always ready to help at any time (anytime at all). The room was also nice, although small for two people, and the suspended bed didn't give us much comfort, because it made a lot of noise and creaked throughout the night, but it was always clean and airy. I highly recommend the hotel for the location, the friendliness of the staff, and the magnificent spot that Funway offers.

I only reinforce the fact that the suspended bed is not very reliable and makes noises all night, as soon as I breathe the bed squeaks, I lie on the bed and I don't move much, even almost nothing, which generates some discomfort. The pillows were thin, but the hotel quickly provided me with more pillows and I became more comfortable. However, the bed was what left me most displeased, but the rest went very well and I thank you for the stay.

Location and roof top pool

We checked out the room at 09:30. I had pre- arranged to have use of the pool until 17:00 however the receptionist said no later than 14:00 even though I showed her the confirmation in writing on booking.com. We therefore didn’t use the pool and it was disappointing that they didn’t honour the agreement.

- Nice location, short walking distance from the metro stop. - Having the bad move up and down is an interesting concept, allows for better use of space. Comfortable if you need to stay in the room and work. Wifi worked well. Staff was very nice and helpful.
