Views are amazing! Also staff and food quality is really good. There is good range of entertainment, great pool bar that is reasonable, if you have just part of boarding. Staff reacts really quickly to requests. Room maintenaince is very good and just overal well managed hotel.

Just some people being cheeky smoking at pool, would be great if they are managed more efficiently and escorted of the beds to smoking area. Overal, is just about guests really, one couple was really aggressive with their umbrella claiming they 'reserved it' earlier. Also, some people behaviours at restaurant just rude. I encourage staff to tell off guests that are rude :)

This resort was absolutely stunning to say the least! The views alone make this place worth booking (dare I say, it has the best views on the entire island of Tenerife). I would HIGHLY suggest booking an ocean-view, otherwise, it may not be worth it haha. Emphasis on the "adult-only" as the crowd here is very mature. Would not recommend for younger crowds looking to be near the "turn-up" or party scene. Its very serene, quite, and relaxing...which I LOVED! The staff was pretty friendly and helpful for the most part. The massage was a solid 6 out of 10: I've had better and I've had way worst. Very relaxing nonetheless and the spa facility in general is worth checking out. The resort is situated in the cutest village and is in walking distance of a few bars, supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Super convenient location for the most part. It's about a 20-30 min drive from the airport and from the party, downtown area where a lot of the bars, beach clubs, and marinas are. There was only 1 excursion we booked that didn't pick us up from the resort because it was "too far". The island is actually very large, so distance is relative.

The food was incredibly subpar, but my expectations for resort buffets have never been that high. I would recommend getting the all-inclusive package that includes breakfast and lunch, but definitely encourage you to explore the village/towns and eat at local restaurants. Other than the food, the wifi is a super hit or miss. The 1st day, it completely didn't work (may have been a sign to disconnect from the world and not check emails while in paradise haha). But it kicked in on day 2 and was pretty solid after that. The drive into "downtown" and the airport can be consider far by some (about 20-30 mins away). Lastly, the water pressure/shower in general didn't really work well in our room. Other than that, it was a flawless stay!

Hotel provides stunning ocean and cliff view( Thank Hotel arranged a comfortable room wonderful view for us). The quality of food is outstanding. There are various choices of 3 meals. The staffs in restaurant are attentive. The lady in reception is extremely polite. The staffs in pool bar work very efficiently. Everyone walks very quickly to bring drinks to tables for guests. They serve guests on the tables, not like other all inclusive resort-guests have to wait on line to pick up cocktails. The eating in pool bar is also very tasting. That is real all inclusive and very good quality. They don’t use cheap wine from machine or plastic cup used only one time.  This is the best all inclusive resort i have ever been so far. We had wonderful holiday. Thank Barcelo Hotel. We will come back.

WIFI is slow sometimes

Amazing breakfast. Really lovely room, spacious and spotlessly clean. Great view - we had a sea view room. Lovely pool area. Overall a great hotel.

There were not enough sun brollies. If you went up to the pool later in the day they were all taken although there were usually enough sun loungers. Also people reserved sun loungers and then didn’t seem to be using them. We were not given a WiFi code or safe key when we checked in, we had to request these. A minor point I know, but we should have been given these as a matter of course. The touch sensitive hairdryer was very annoying!

We loved the hotel in general, great location and views, a modern design of the whole building and our room, all seemed light and clean. The room was big enough and we loved the idea of "not separated" bathroom, it looked so nice. The terrace with sea view was amazing and outdoor pools on the rooftop nice, too. We had breakfast included and we also paid extra for dinner. The food was amazing! A buffet with all we could think of, there is no chance to try everything in a day, nor two. The personal was kind. A shame, that we only had one day to spend there. We recommend 100%.

Only few things that we were missing: for example in the bathroom there was a kit with a toothbrush and paste, a nice surprise, but there was only one. Also, we did not get any slippers (i do not know if they were for extra charge, but we saw some by the neighbours). Finally, the water from the shower door was going out a bit. But in general, those were details that did not spoil our stay at all, as we stayed one night only, we had all we needed. In the summer season could be probably hard to find a parking for the car nearby, but we had no problem with that.

I really liked the bed (very comfortable), the view was excellent and the hotel was generally very nice.

Lack of parking space in front of the hotel. On our arrival, we didn't know where to park to get our bags out of the car. Also, there is an option for parking in the hotel garage, but it needs to be paid extra. In my opinion, it should be included in the price because the hotel is located in an area where you really need a car if you want to see the island. Also, there are a few things in the hotel that can be fixed (e.g. fresh paint on the walls, we saw cockroach twice, maybe consider investing in pest control)

Utterly superb! A fabulous hotel, so well designed and extremely well managed. Our bed was huge and very comfortable and we had a private hot-tub on our corner balcony overlooking the sea with views of the mountains on one side and views of the island of La Gomera on the other side. Our room was serviced daily and everywhere was impeccably clean. It also included a safe and a small fridge for keeping wine chilled. We went half-board and the food on the breakfast buffet and the evening meal buffet varied nicely each day and was top quality. The cocktails were very reasonably priced at 8.00 euros each (we enjoyed many very potent Moscow Mules, Mai Tai, and Black Russians) and some very reasonably priced bottles of 'vino blanco de la casa' which were absolutely lovely. The three pools were each at a different temperature, one was absolutely Baltic freezing, one was bracing but OK and one was lovely and warm. The pool area is gorgeous, the pool bar is a joy and there are plenty of loungers to go around. Of course the absolutely massive bonus is that there are no children there to ruin the serenity of the place! We hired a car for the week, which made going on excursions much easier and more flexible than relying on being pick-up from the hotel, which is nicely distanced from the rowdier more commercialised areas like Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos. Despite some unseasonable bouts of poor weather we had plenty of sunbathing around the pools and went Whale Watching from Puerto Colon and on a Submarine Safari from Amarilla Marina (both fabulous) as well as taking a leisurely drive up the stunning mountains. We have vowed to return to Tenerife one day and we will definitely be staying at Barcelo Santiago when we do. We were very sad to leave!

The night temperatures were a little low, as one would expect in February, and try as we might we could not get the air conditioning to make the room any warmer (probably not an issue most of the time). For some reason the servicing of the room did not include replenishing the tea bags or milk, though the cleaners were happy to let us have some when we asked. The evening live entertainment ranged from 'very entertaining' to 'pretty dire' but with three bars to choose from it was easy to avoid if necessary. These were minor issues when compared to the overall joy of staying at such a superb hotel!

Best location in that spot with amazing views! The hotel itself is so beautifully decorated, not like as usual ones. The room was big with a terrace, but I would recommend to get rooms at higher floors for the best view and so there will be no people passing by behind the fence. The swimming pool area is cool, there are 3 separate areas with different depth, so you have enough space to swim. Staff was friend and without any problems helped us. There was a variety of food and desserts and also in front of buffet there is a restaurant if you want something different. No need to hurry up for breakfast or other meals - they refresh empty dishes. Go for a Balinese bed at the pool with Los Gigantes view and Teide from a swimming pool.

Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The optional dinner was well worth the price! The pool area is well appointed with plenty of seating and an excellent bar. The views from the pool deck are breathtaking!

The nightly entertainment was extremely loud in my room until after 2300. One server took my drink order and a different server delivered my drink. This made it hard to build rapport with the bar staff.

The location was great. Its a 20 minute walk to the beach at los gigantes (uphill walk) and there is a natural pool near by too. The food options at the buffet were good and a different variety. The shows each night were lovely. The all inclusive option if you dont plan to travel around tenerife like we did was a great choice. We tried the spa, and it was relaxing. €14 per person for one hour and a half. They offered a variety of features in the spa. They only allow 6 people at a time during their time slots. We had one other couple with us during our time. The hotel manager surprised us with a birthday cake and a nice message for our room since our stay was during my birthday. It was a very nice and thoughtful touch.

No free parking included in the stay for the hotel. Its €15 per day at their facility, if available. If not, there is free parking on the road and a parking place up the hill. We had to park at the parking place up the hill, which wasn’t bad for us (30&35 year old), but it is difficult for older couples and anyone with a walking issue. The cost weekly was €30 at the other parking place, which is a better deal than the daily cost at the hotel. I am unsure if the hotel offered weekly rates or just daily. The one issue with the buffet were the flies given that everything was open areas to eat outdoors. The bar drinks by the swimming pools were awful, but if you tell the staff how you like your drink exactly, like we did, then there was no issues.
