We stayed 3 adults and a 2 year old. The room was true to the pictures and had a good size. Me, my husband and our son stayed in the room with double bed, while my dad stayed in the living room with sofa bed. The two rooms have a door in between, so there is possibility for privacy. My dad has back issues which is why we asked for a extra bed instead of sleeping on the sofa bed. The staff made that request possible. The room service was top standard. Elegant products with nice fragrance, slippers, bathing rope, daily water bottles. The staff made us feel like home. They showered my 2 year old with love and attention, so every morning when he woke up, he couldn’t wait to get out of the room to greet them. The owner gifted him apples and he ended up guarding the apples with his life. One apple even made it back to Denmark. We also had a nice chat with the owners dad on the rooftop, who gave us an interesting insight in Turkish politics. Thank you both for taking your time to give us a authentic experience. Breakfast is delicious and various. Would have been nice if it lasted until 11 - our son slept in almost every day, so we had to make a little plate for him, he could eat in the room once he was awake. The location is super; few minutes walk to tram line and metro line. Neighbor to grand bazaar, sultanahmet and Haifa Sofya mosque, 5-10 min walk to mehmetpasha shopping street and Egyptian bazaar, 15 min walk to tokapi. Everything is so easy to reach from Fer Hotel. We took a yellow taxi from airport, around 400 Turkish lira but he dropped us of 1,5 km from hotel claiming cars could not enter. it was possible, he just needed to take another/longer route. Hotel ordered taxi to airport for 500 Turkish lire and the taxi picked us up in front of hotel. For public transport we bought the Istanbul card (50 lira), which can be bought and filled with money at every single tramway and metro station. We were 3 adults who shared one card.

There are 2 glass doors that can be opened in the room. When you open the right glas door, it is secured by a glass wall, so a child won’t fall out unless you climb above. But the other glas door has no glass wall but instead a wooden wall, but it is located about 15-20cm from the glas door. Unfortunately we did not know this when we oppened both glas doors, so our son was very close to fall in between. Luckily we noticed it right away and grabbed him. Maybe you should just lock that glas door permanent so that it won’t be possible to open.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, in the heart of Fatih, just 5min walk to the Grand bazar and 10min walk to the Sultanahmet square, but in a very quiet street. Eminonu pier can be reached in 15min walk, and the tram station is just around the corner. The area is filled with shops and restaurants. The rooms were quite spacious, and had everything that one can need. I recommend to take the breakfast, the food was delicious. And the most important thing: the staff! I don't have enough good words for them, from the reception, cleaning ladies and gentleman, to the breakfast staff, everyone was so wonderful and polite! My family and I will definitely come back.

There was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom in one of the rooms we booked, but the staff fixed it quickly. I think that they should look into the problem more, because it seems that they were already aware of it.

This hotel was AMAZING as a frequent flyer this is the kind of hotel I look for! Clean modern and located so close to the Historic parts. Everything was a 5 minute walk and the bosphorpus was 10min. The staff are so so sweet kind and helpful! Best hotel in Istanbul ✅

The location is excellent, close to the main touristique areas of Istanbul. The staff very friendly and supportif.

We recuested to have a room in the highest level possible but we were provided with a room just on top of the reception. As the windows are not sound proof and people visiting the lobby area late in the night, after midnight, are talking loudly, it was very difficult to sleep. We complained to the reception but nothing changed. We had to leave with this problem during all our stay of 5 days.

Close to Grand Bazaar and short walk to The Eminönü. The rooms are very clean and we had a very comfortable stay.

The breakfast could have been better, it was not great as we were hoping for more variety like sausages, roasted mushroom & grilled chicken or meatballs

Really good, clean, modern and spacious hotel. We booked the suite which was exactly like the pictures. There was absolutely no outside noise, which can be a pro/con- if you want to be able to hear some hustle/bustle and sounds like the athaan, it won’t be possible in these rooms. On the flip side after a busy day in central it was really nice to have peace and quiet. Really clean bathrooms, full amenities including shampoo conditioner etc, coffee machine, bathrobes/slippers. Good hot water pressure with a daily clean. Very modern lighting system which was nice to play around with. The front desk were really helpful and very quickly accommodated our nightly requests for ice and chai. We were fasting and the hotel accommodated suhoor brought to our room each night at our requested time, which included a lovely big flask of chai and an assortment of food. They kindly accommodated requests for additional items to be added eg, orange juice, eggs and sausage. We did attend the breakfast on the last day and it was a lovely assortment of savory and sweets. Not huge but more than enough. Overall we were well looked after and we had a comfortable stay.

The beds were extremely soft and the mattress was a bit lumpy. For myself this was just about passable, but if you have back or muscle problems this will absolutely not be suitable. It is also a very low bed. By the 3rd/4th night I was starting to really notice the softness. It’s quite difficult to set the AC/heating to just right, it tends to blow either too hot or too cold. But it’s easily adjustable and we just kept fiddling with it.

The room, staff, and location were perfect. The staff were very attentive and took care of any requests, especially Ibrahim, the manager. There was also a lovely young gentleman who helped with recommendations, always asked how our stay was going and advised on the best way to travel around Istanbul with young children. We also had the same cleaning staff during our stay, and she was brilliant. Always refreshed our room as we had our baby with us and took extra care of us. The extra touches were very welcome. The included breakfast was varied and there something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the selection of desserts on offer.

The hotel was clean and very Cosy room with comfortable bed. The service from the staff were also great. Farouk, together with his colleagues at the reception desk were all very friendly and always had a smile on their faces while attending to the needs of their visitors at the Fer Hotel. The cleaning lady Hawa was also friendly. The staff assisted with anything we needed at anytime, and furthermore the 3 gentlemen that was on duty that morning of our check out, assisted my cousin and I nicely with our luggage after check out, and stored it for us until it was time to leave to the Airport later that afternoon. I know Farouk was one of the guys, pity we didn't take the names of the other two gentlemen as well. It was truly an amazing stay, and the location was so close to the Grand Bazaar and also in the opposite direction to the Hagia Sophia Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace etc....it was all in walking distance.....about a 10min walk. Will strongly recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting to be close to all the tourist attractions in Istanbul, and to have a comfortable stay with friendly staff :-)

The location was immaculate, the tram is literally down the road (2 mins walk) and also the metro is fairly close (5 min walk) + Eminonu Square is approximately a 10 min walk. All the staff were very polite and caring from the reception to the cleaning staff. I would like to also extend my thanks and gratitude to my brother Ibrahim who always greeted us with a smile and always made sure we started our day off with a great vibe. Definitely a hotel to stay in for those looking to have a memorable and filling experience in Istanbul. Thank you Fer and I look forward to seeing you soon. Kindest regards,
