1) Room is nice, beds are comfy, large tv, stable & fast internet, decent bathroom 2) The location is perfect. Near to the beach, restaurants & stores along the St James's street.

1) Reception is shared with other sister hotel in different building, which is fine, but it would be better if hotel guests are informed about this earlier before they reach the hotel. 2) Different contact numbers for reception (numbers displayed on the front door and on the internet) 3) Number isn't reachable after 4pm Saturday, and this info is not shared with hotel guests too. 4) More clothes hanger would be appreciated as the room is for 3 people.

The staff was really nice and helpful, clean room and comfy beds. The hotel is right next to the beach which is very handy. We will be coming back very soon. You can walk in and out anytime after your check in time, they have hairdryers, iron just incase you need to use them. Overall we loved it.

Hmm there's nothing really wrong with the hotel apart from for one child and a adult the double room is cheeper but we wanted separate beds and was more for two twin beds but it was still worth it and loved the room and it was in the perfect place.

Very close to the beach, with a good sea view and easy walk to all the shops. Comfy bed and spacious room, very good coffee / tea facilities and room checked daily by the cleaner.

It’s not a didn’t like, more a disappoint, that let it down for us was not having black out curtains, only shutter blinds. They’re not very good for keeping the morning sun out or the street lighting. With a couple broken ones.

Four of us stayed in a family room for after a Christmas party! Spacious, clean, identical to photos online. Check in was easy (3 doors up to the Strawberry Fields Hotel), the receptionist was friendly and clear. Good wifi, hot water, comfy beds, clean and tidy. £120 to sleep 4, we thought it was a bargain! Don’t listen to the negative reviews. Clean towels and toiletries provided, as well as tea/coffee/kettle and biscuits!

Smallest complaint would be that some of the blinds in the room were broken so for privacy reasons this wasn’t great. Also we were very unlucky with the weather so the draft came in through the broken slats.

Hello, my name is Julija. I came as a Solo traveler from Milton Keynes for one night to stay in Brighton. I found Hamptons hotel on booking.com, paid 104£/per night. Absolutely HAPPY. Clean, cosy, top floor room for single person with view to the sea !!! I’m so delightful!!! I love the room. It have shower, toilet, sink, storage unit, single bed, kettle, hair dryer, mirrors. It’s cozy place! And I’m the person who happy appreciate small things! And it was so right choice I make ! Love love love it. Check in at 4pm, check out at 11 am morning. I wish I could stay more! And now I know I’ll be back here. Enjoyed my own company and the sea view !

Clean, cosy, sea view, top floor, kettle, coffee, soap, shower gel, towels.

The location of the property was brilliant for the trip that we had planned. The hotel itself was quiet, which made for a great nights sleep. We were in a sea view room and had a lovely view of the green and the sea outside our room. We also were able to get a late check out, which was perfect for us.

Some of the blinds were damaged which meant the sun could come in early in the morning.

I liked the cleanliness of the accommodation. It is very near to the city centre and within easy reach of the shops. The bed was comfortable and I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed. I have stayed in a lot of places in Brighton and this is definitely one of the best.

One small thing: I was not sure where the toilet was. It would have been helpful if it was made more clear which door it was.

The room was compact (but it was cheap), with all the amenities. It had a great view from the window. It was cleaned every day, with fresh towels etc. I was given more milk for early morning tea when requested.

I have a bad knee and the room was three flights up. Ouch! But I didn't specify I needed any assistance when I booked, as it was an emergency dash and I simply needed a place in that location fast. That was on me but as it is an old building, they don't have a lift.

The location was brilliant - right on the front and easy to get to Kemptown, the main shopping areas such as the Lanes, the beach, and the pier. The room was modern, practical, and clean. Had all we needed for our very short stay. Would definitely consider staying here again.

A small thing that made a big problem - The shower didn't work correctly and couldn't regulate the temperature without scalding yourself- so was practically unusable. By the time we found this out it was 9am in the morning so would have been pointless to mention and get resolved before checkout.

Good value for money, can come and go as you please. Walking distance to most of the things you'll want to do in Brighton.

Bed in room 3 could do with a new mattress. Shower in the shared bathroom works but is rather old fashioned and leaky. Overall just needs a little light doing up.
