A very clean hotel with friendly staff. Lovely lobby, clean elevators and hallways. This hotel is superb value for money. Not a single negative thing to remark about the hotel itself honestly. Nice roomy room with a clean bathroom and a nice hot shower. Best bed in 10 years of travelling. All the amenities you would expect and more (coffee, water, wine, biscuits, ... ). Friendly staff who help set up a baby-bed. The carpark-rate is cheaper as a hotel-resident than visitor, this is a plus!
The carpark under the hotel is not a very nice place. smelly elevator, unclear where to park, very busy during the day and not a very nice smell.

Very Convenient Location for Shops, Seafront and Nightlife
As is normal for Brighton. £30 to park car overnight Perhaps a matter of taste but the "New Carpet" design in the dining area running the length of the raised area next to the seafront windows whilst intended to represent crashing waves looks more like spilt milk gone mouldy - sorry

Really close to the sea and pier, reception staff helpful and pleasant. We had an upgrade and some treats for my birthday a lovely touch. The shower was good and bed comfy. Breakfast was amazing so much choice definitely worth the money. Easy walking distance to restaurants locally we did not eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner. Fab view lovely quiet room.
Car parking costs but as the hotel does not have parking we parked in the Lines the hotel gives a discount but still very expensive. Put the clean room on the door when we went out first day and returned in the afternoon to find nothing had been done despite the cleaning team on that floor. The receptionist quickly sorted this for us. Not much to complain about we had a nice time,

The bed was comfy & the staff were lovely.Any problems were addressed quickly & without a fuss. Martin the handy man was absolutely brilliant. What a wonderful chap. An absolute gent
I hardly slept due to noise [until 4.30am] from a bar or club. It sounded as though it was next door. Plus the taxi rank outside. Room 112 needs triple glazing - not double. The "air freshner" in the lobby/communal areas is way too strong. Plus, I think, not natural ingredients [I had to use my nebulizer after being in those areas as my lungs hurt]. I ate a pear & it tasted of the reception!

The location near the pier and the lanes. Made to order omelets at breakfast, great roasted baby potatoes, and good overall selection of food choices. While our room did not have a view of the sea, there was a lovely panoramic view on the mezzanine level at breakfast. Pillows were a bit hard, housekeeping gave us some softer ones. We had a good nights sleep on the king sized bed. We had a room service pizza which was fairly good and quickly delivered. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We would stay there again.
The pool area is popular, but the hot air smelled chlorinated. The pool water is not warm. There are steps leading down into the pool. Beware that it slants down very quickly from about 18” to 4 feet. To get to the pool you need to walk down a level from the reception area to the seaside entrance which was a bit drafty on our 2 day stay with breezy wet weather.

We have been prolific stayers at the Hilton down the road but on this occasion we decided to stay at Leonardo. What a difference and in such a good way. This hotel beats the Hilton hands down on every metric. The service was great, all the staff genuinely wanted to help and they went above and beyond. You don't get that attitude at the Hilton, they make you feel like they are doing you the favour by staying there. The central atrium is great, very spacious, breakfast had a great selection too. The room was large and we were inward facing which was very peaceful. This hotel did everything that you would expect from a good hotel to do. We have been converted and will be staying here now in the future.
Bathroom door didn't shut properly and the lift to the car park door either kept getting stuck or was extremely slow opening.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. The hotel was very comfortable and rooms cleaned daily and the view was brilliant. 3 members of the staff that stood out for us and had a chat and a laugh nearly every day were Joe he was on the breakfast team at the desk checking us in for breakfast . Very friendly. We had a laugh most mornings at breakfast with a waiter called Gejzer (pronounced Geezer) who was lovely. And last was Ken. Ken was the concierge gentleman at the hotel . Again very friendly and a mind of information if you wanted to know anything. He has worked there for 30 years. We will definitely be back to see them all again
No faults. Was perfect for us

The hotel was right in front of the marina and I enjoyed the daily morning walk in the boardwalk. The gym facilities are clean and well kept. The pool, sauna and steam room are smaller than in other Leonardo hotels but clean and well maintained. Staff are accommodating but not as friendly as Filipino staff. Breakfast area was spacious but in an open area so a bit chilly. Room was standard and to be expected for the price but I felt safe the whole stay there.
Carpet in the room and hallway is old and tired. Breakfast food gets cold easily as in an open area. Can hear noise outside from other guests. At night, can hear drawers and doors opening and closing.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront. The property boasts a stunning modern design, with spacious and well-furnished rooms that offer a comfortable and luxurious experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, right on the waterfront, providing beautiful views and easy access to the beach and local attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly and with a smile. Additionally, the hotel’s facilities, including the fitness center and the bar, were top-notch and added to the overall exceptional experience.
The only minor inconvenience was the parking, as the car park is council-owned. However, the hotel provided a hefty and fair discount on the parking fee, which was greatly appreciated.

Very helpful, friendly staff Great location Comfortable, well equipped room Good breakfast
There was a ruck in the carpet in my room which created a slight trip hazard (I was in room 155). There was no coat hook in my room – so nowhere to hang my wet coat! This seems to be a very common omission in hotel rooms. The lighting in the room was poor, and all the lights had individual switches (5 I think). There was no master key card control to the lighting as seems to be the case in most hotels I stay in. The external door to the fridge was hung the wrong way round making it unnecessarily hard to get to the fridge (hinged to the left instead of the right) The fridge itself was not secured in anyway to the wall or the cupboard it was in, meaning it moved and almost came out of the cupboard every time I opened it.
