We stayed in absolute luxury for two nights. The building is beautiful, located within a couple of minutes walk from the city centre and the staff were lovely and friendly. There's a convenience shop which was an unexpected and handy extra. The price of our stay was very reasonable and it was exactly the birthday treat I was hoping for. I'll be recommending this place to family and friends.
There's nothing not to like!

We treated ourselves for our 30th wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. The rooms were huge, we had a beautiful lounge, with a fridge, microwave, kettle and all cutlery and crockery we needed. Lovely bedroom with a massive en-suite including bath and shower with lovely views. We also had a separate bathroom with a shower. The hotel has a honesty box in the reception lounge which was very handy. You can access the guest storeroom, which has irons and boards and toilet rolls, which I found very helpful. Car park is at the rear of property and a little hard to find but we got a space and at £10 pn found it very reasonable. Location was great, quite accessible to walk into city centre ( and we’re not fit). If you require housekeeping, just ring reception and it’s sorted, dirty dishes replaced and bins emptied.Would definitely recommend a stay here.
We can’t think of anything. We thought it was good value but it was expensive.

We loved the hotel, the rooms are big and the facilities are excellant, even having a microwave with the tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the big bath was a big plus after city walking. The parking is a massive plus and was cheap compared to a car park or metered parking. We would definately come back and hope to.
The bathroom is a tiny bit tired but only really needed a little tidying, but thats bein ridiculously picky and didnt bother us at all.The tv not being able to see it from bed was a bit of a pain but thats personal choice and you do have 2 sofas to sit on to watch from anyway. All in all we loved it.

Our stay at this resort was simply perfect, an experience we will never forget. The property stands out for its magnificence, warmth, and impeccable cleanliness, making everything incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Our room, which we affectionately nicknamed “the palace,” was a true marvel: spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully furnished. The living room and bedroom were large, bright, and welcoming, while the spotless cleanliness made us feel at ease from the very first moment. The bathroom, also spacious and immaculately clean, added another level of comfort and quality to our stay. Another highlight is the resort’s location, nestled in a quiet and breathtakingly beautiful area. The serene atmosphere and stunning surroundings made every moment a true delight, offering a sense of peace and harmony that is hard to find elsewhere. In conclusion, this resort is a little slice of paradise, highly recommended for anyone seeking a vacation full of relaxation and beauty. We can’t wait to return!
Everything about our stay at this resort was absolutely delightful—we loved every single aspect (like the honesty shop too)! The honesty shop is a charming little corner where, true to its name, you can purchase products 24/7 simply by writing down what you’ve taken on a sheet and settling the payment at checkout.

Amazing room and bathroom, so spacious and luxurious... even had a walk-in wardrobe! Impressive facilities - not just a kettle in the room but a microwave, fridge etc. Nice view from the windows. Friendly and helpful staff. Delighted to have found this gem of a place! Amazing location by the beautiful Dean Garden Village as well.
I could only find tiny faults which really didn't impact my positive experience at all. E.g. the jets for jacuzzi bath were broken and the fountain shower didn't work, but the bath and shower in general were so great that it didn't matter. There were small spots of black mould on the sink sealant but it was clean so just needs some new sealant.

A Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hapimag Resort Edinburgh, and I must say, the experience was outstanding from start to finish. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always ready to assist with any request, making me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. The facilities at the hotel were top-notch, providing everything I needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with all the amenities one could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The common areas were equally impressive, with a serene ambiance that made it easy to unwind after a long day. Comfort is another area where the Hapimag Resort Edinburgh truly excels. Every detail, from the quality of the bedding to the layout of the room, has been carefully considered to create an inviting and restful environment. I felt completely at ease throughout my stay, which is exactly what I look for in a hotel. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at the Hapimag Resort Edinburgh. The staff, facilities and comfort were all exceptional, with the staff being the highlight of my stay. I had the most interaction with staff member Raul. He is a great person and his attention and service put my Edinburgh experience over the top. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!
Funny, I can't think of anything. Maybe the positives are/were so much greater than any negatives.

Booked them through Booking.com, our flight had us in at 10 am while check in was at 4pm. I messaged the property and they allowed us to drop off our luggage and explore the city until our room was available, super accommodating! All the staff is very kind and knowledgeable, lots of recommendations on what to see, and where to eat. From other guest interactions it seems like the staff is fluent in German as well if you feel more comfortable chatting so. The building itself is beautiful, from the outside it seems very unassuming, but once you enter, the lobby greets you to a beautiful time capsule. If you're looking for a traditionally charming hotel with huge rooms and beautifully upgraded bathrooms while still keeping to a vintage charm, this is the place for you. We booked a basic suite and it feels anything but. The matching furniture feels very curated, tasteful paintings and storage you'll find hard to fill, this feels like the perfect place to call home for your trip. I appreciate the big cabinet hiding the kettle, microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker, keeping it functional while easily hidden to not be an eyesore. Our room was on the "basement" floor but still had huge windows and a charming view out to the city behind us. The bathroom is huge, bigger than the one in my apartment haha, the tile work is lovely and the shower heads are perfect pressure and temperature. There are mobility aide bars if you require extra stability when using the toilet or shower.

The room was quite big. It was so big that our families asked if such big rooms even exist in UK. I booked a standard room close to the city, but did not know I will get a room this big. It was a 20 min walk from the train station (Waverley) which is alright, generally getting to and from the city centre wasn't much of a hassle. There was even a whole tea set in the cupboard and I would make tea in a tea pot to relax at night.
Only stayed 2 nights so not much. I guess the walk to the hotel, but then again it wasn't bad and we found a secret hidden route to it anyway. The taps in bathroom were separate for hot and cold, which is inconvenient to use.

Loved the inside (lobby) and our room was amazing! Huge bedroom and bathroom, the pictures didn't do it justice. Very easy to access and a short walk takes you right where everything was. The staff was very friendly.
Our only issue was our room was the lucky one to be right under the pool table/foosball room. We heard some teens being awfully loud but we kindly asked if they would keep it down and they did. It was still early around 7:30/8pm so unsure if they have a cutoff time for that room but we had an early day so we needed to get to bed.

Firstly we were greeted by a lovely lady who gave advice on spots to see and places to go. We arrived early morning before check in but were able to leave our luggage in a secure room while we were exploring the city. The decor and room were spectacular, clean and tidy and even for a junior suite was exceptionally spacious and light. Reception staff were amazing and helpful. I did mention that it was a surprise birthday trip for my partner, and that it was his first time in Edinburgh, and they kindly left a card and gift on arrival which was a thoughtful touch. We both loved our weekend stay and if we come to Edinburgh again this will be the first place I will look for. Thank you all so much it was all very much appreciated
