The apartment was very complete, with the basic stuff that you usually get plus extras like a washing machine and dish washer, that you don't get that often in other reservations. You can do self-checking, although the machine was not working, but the receptionist did that for us. Plus, you can leave your luggage at the reception with no problem until you do your check-in.

I would love Stewart by Heeton Concepts to give a bit more care to their apartments. Although they are very complete, there were a couple of things that were not working. For example, the hairdryer was broken, so I had to ask for a new one at the reception, then the safe to store sensitive documents or money was already locked, so I couldnt use it; and the toaster was also broken. Another aspect to improve is the cleaning. For example the interior of the oven was clearly not clean, it is as if somebody just finished using it and they forgot to clean it. You could notice dust in some areas of the bathroom and the bedroom.

The aparthotel is in a good central location. The one bedroom apartment with sitting room, bathroom and kitchen is a reasonable size, though the bedroom is a little tight around the queen sized bed. The kitchen area at one end of the sitting room is quite serviceable, large and well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine, though we didn't use any of this kit on our two-night stay for a family wedding.

The check-in tablet didn't work and an attendant had to check us in. Having been deluged with numerous emails about check-in prior to arriving, including a random name on one, we still struggled to follow the instructions as to how to use the tablet, which was frustrating after a long journey. The light over the bathroom sink was u/s. The hot water in the bathroom basin didn't come through even after leaving the tap running for more than five minutes. This was incomprehensible given the abundant hot water in the shower two feet away; likewise in the kitchen sink. Miraculously, on the morning of the second day, hot water appeared from this tap. You cannot explain it. There were insufficient towels on arrival, but we found some in the corridor and helped ourselves.

The apartment was clean, well maintained and in an excellent location close to the city centre and the garden village of Stockbridge. Everything was in easy walking distance but public transport was also very convenient with stops close by. In the flat, the kitchen and bathroom were in very good condition - better than many similar places I have stayed in other cities and there were dishwasher and washing machine tablets readily available if needed.

The washer dryer is an old discontinued model and we couldn't find any online help or manuals to use it and make sure the dry function worked properly. It really is worth someone at the business making a laminated sheet of instructions for users and leaving this within the property. The other thing was that the flat did get a bit too warm (were there late October / late November)

Our choice to stay here was really a tough decision. Me and my family literally spent 2/3 days to search for every reviews about this aparthotels and compared it to others. We then decided to booked this aparthotel despite unpleasant reviews that we read. However, it was really the best decisions. We spent 3 weeks in the UK and stayed in four different cities. For sure Stewart by Heeton Concept was one of the best accommodation we stayed at compared to the other three. We only found difficulties at the check in as it was a self check in system, but worry not as the receptionist was there ready to help us. As we got our key cards ready, we were really surprised of how well-equipped. The staffs were also very helpful as they directly came to our room when we didn’t know how to operate some of the stuffs. Extra paper towels, soap, and detergent are also available for us just under the self check-in counter that we can get for as much as we need. And not to mention the strategic location of this aparthotel! Wonderful. It’s just a 5 minutes walk to get to Princes Street. Also walkable distance to get to the famous sight such as the National Gallery and the station. I mean it is Edinburgh.. I really don’t mind walking with the views though. The staffs also very kind as they allowed us for late check out for an hour or so. Very helpful and communicative. Overall it was a very pleasant and wonderful stay here. Definitely recommend this 10/10. If you are hesitating to place your stay, don’t be!

This room was a perfect choice for my group of 3 as the large bed & the sofa bed were comfy and clean, the bedroom had a nice mirror with a sort of desk and a large wardrobe with an iron, ironing board & hairdryer, the bathroom was very nice too and had a really good shower! Everything in the rooms & the kitchen was clean and worked well. Check in & out was easy which was a relief as I was slightly worried about using a door code to get in and not having a 24/7 reception. After check out I got my £100 card payment deposit back instantly and we could leave our bags until 4pm. The location is central and all the local tourist areas are in walking distance, we got the airlink 100 bus from the airport to shandwick place bus stop which was less than 10mins walking distance from this place! There is plenty of food & drink options nearby too. I do think that asking for a £100 deposit on the day is too much, especially since we were only staying for 2 nights so that should be specified more when booking.

The wall between our room & another room seemed very thin as we could hear people in another room talking & watching tv & both nights in the bedroom there was an annoying noise (I think coming from the radiator so maybe something to do with pipes) that went on until early morning..

Great value for the price. Location was central and in walking distance to the historic center of town. There was great amenities to make a comfortable stay for my family of 4. There was air conditioning in the bedroom which worked great and is not common in a lot of places. Coffee and tea supplies are provided in the lobby to take to your room. Very clean overall and comfortable bedding was provided. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Nothing that would be a deal breaker. The whole place and specifically living room is smaller than was shown in the picture. When the pull out bed is out, there is not much room to walk around in the living room. There are automatic lights in the barlthroom that you can not control manually. The light turned off several times while showering and had to wave at it to turn back on.

The apartment is spacious with a large bathroom. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals if you prefer to eat in. The air-conditioner is located in the bedroom and worked very well. The apartment was clean and provided tea, coffee and milk, which was appreciated. There are darkening blinds. According to our daughter, the sofa bed was comfortable. Our bed mattress was firm, but not hard and the pillows were comfortable. We had no difficulties with the self-check in. Location: The apartment is in an excellent location within short walking distance of shops, restaurants, the park and tourist attractions. It was approximately 15 minutes walk from the central train station. We used the hop-on-hop off bus to get to the tourist attractions, so I cannot comment on the public transportation. There is an excellent M&S food hall/supermarket, approximately 10 minutes from the apartment. Overall we loved staying at the apartment and would be happy to stay again.

Very minor details, that didn't bother us or impacted our overall satisfaction with the apartment: 1) the shower temperature fluctuated and tended to be on the hot side. 2) there were small amount of mold at the bottom of the shower cabinet door.

Great location, Check in easy enough and & manned reception during the day, which was handy when we checked in as there was no key cards on the self check in area. Check in instructions sent ahead of arrival. Clean, tidy and quiet. Kitchen stocked with tea, coffe and sugar.

Not manned out of hours, There is an out of hour number however it wasnt answered when I called it to get the adoor entry code. My phone had died and I had to borrow one. Luckily the pub next door - The Oxford, where able to lend me a charger so I could eventually get back in.

- Spacious apartments similar to living in a home than hotel - Kind and helpful staff - Located in a quiet neighbourhood in center of Edinburgh - Air cooling system is also present as it can sometimes get quite hot

- For the price charged (£250 per night), I was expecting some amenities like Body lotion, room slippers etc. which were not available also upon request. - The automatic key making system does not work perfectly. I had arrived late in the night and there was no one to support. I had to make 4/5 trials before it finally worked. Not a big deal, but had to go to my room on the 1st floor and then come down to the reception each time it didn’t work. So the system/instructions can be more clear. - Check out is too early (10:30 am) for a premium priced Aparthotel. Although the gentleman at the reception was very kind and allowed me to check out at 12 noon without issues.

Check in was not a great experience,followed all instructions on the i pad and as i have stayed here before shouldn't have been an issue,got he key and went to room but door would't open,returned to reception but no one was there,however there was a staff member in a room behind reception who could clearly see me standing in reception but chose to ignore me,i then phoned the help line and the phone was answered by the staff member in the back room who said he would come to assist,when i said you could clearly see me standing there he mumbled an answer and got me a new key that worked fine.
