Salisbury Guest House is a wonderful place to stay for visiting Keswick. The location is ideal, a 5 min walk to the town centre. The house is very homely, the room was extremely clean with plenty of storage space in the room and in the large ensuite bathroom. The beds were very comfortable with ample additional warm covers if needed. The room was also very quiet considering the house was fully booked at the time we stayed. There is a Tele union dvd player in the room with a large collection of dvds to choose from. Alternatively, a good collection of books is also there for the guest's enjoyment. The included breakfast was generous and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Additionally, the house is dog friendly which was important to us. Most of all, the hosts were fantastic, welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely stay and will definitely go back in future.

The on street parking can be difficult to find at times.

Lovely clean property. Room was clean with a nice view. Comfortable bed and a plush sofa to relax on. Espresso coffee machine with capsules. Tray to place our walking shoes on. Matt was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and Matt ensured I had dairy-free lactose free milk at breakfast. Lovely filtered coffee. We got a lovely piece of bread and butter pudding on day of departure. Wifi available at all times without having to continually log on. The location is a short walk from the Keswick town centre. Nice to get free parking close by on the street.

My partner found the shower a tad on the small side. He said he kept banging his elbows.

The host was responses to messages and was at the property when we first arrived. Matt was very welcoming and asked if we needed any assistance with bringing our bags in, which was a very kind offer. We had everything we needed in our room and it was easy to speak to Matt if needed at any point. Breakfast was lovely and exactly what we asked for....whoever makes the breakfast certainly know how to cook and poached eggs were perfect! They were very knowledgeable on walks, since our plans changed one day due to the unpredictable weather which was very useful! We had a larger room which was perfect for us, especially having a dog so we had plenty of space for his bed and toys. Finally, they love dogs and made Ollie very welcome which as you can imagine is important to us. We are planning to stay where possible here again for each visit to Keswick!

Nothing, had exactly what we needed!

Fantastic stay at Salisbury Guesthouse in Keswick. Clear communication before we arrived. Rooms: We opted for the larger room. Large bed, sofa and private bathroom. Well decorated and comfortable bed. Shower hot at all times. Rooms cleaned daily and restocked with drinks and sweet treats. WiFi in the rooms. Hosts: Mark was a great host. Welcoming, helpful and even provided us with an iron, as going to a wedding. Breakfast: Great cold selection of yoghurt, toast and cereals. Different jams on offer as well as marmalade. You order the cooked breakfast you would like on your first day. We had a full English breakfast each day. Excellent quality ingredients. The sausages were amazing. A little gift of cake was given on the last day. Fully recommend staying here, thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Only thing which is a personal choice is a box of tissues in the room.

We were met by Matt on arrival who was extremely welcoming. He chatted to us about the area and if we'd been before, explained the quickest route to the centre etc before showing us to our room. The room was better than we may have hoped for, so comfortable, good facilities & views with the bonus of an early check in. We had a really good nights sleep, and the breakfast was really lovely - quality produce that was cooked & presented better than some of the more expensive hotels we have used, along with a bonus piece of home made cake to take away - very thoughtful.

The fact we weren't stopping 2 nights..........

Fantastic welcome, room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Our dog was also made to feel welcome and fussed over, she thoroughly enjoyed her stay too! Breakfast was great, lots of choice, excellent quality and a piece of homemade cake for the journey back which was a nice treat. We will definitely go back again, close to the town centre shops, pubs and restaurants and a great base for days out walking.

From walking into the b@b I can honestly say that the host was amazing showed us to our rooms and explained everything very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and clean bathroom was also very clean. Room as lovely and warm but not too warm just right. Breakfast next day was beautiful very well presented and very good quality agsin hosts full of chat and all guests got on great. Check out was no hassle. Would we stop again definitely YES. Bonus was a beautiful piece of cake each on our tables. It's just the little things that do it.

Everything was brilliant

Loved the breakfast - had everything we wanted, with very friendly and helpful host. Matt showed us his favourite walks to do, and a thorough folder of clearly ordered information on everything local to make our stay in Keswick as enjoyable as possible. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere and comfortable, well equipped room. Very conveniently located near the centre of town, without being busy there.

Nothing - it was all great.

Great location we have stayed in Lake District uncountable times but have never never stayed in town before so it was handy being withing walking distance to amenities after long highland trip. Room and breakfast great.

I gave an arrival time of 5ish (didn't know an exact arrival time) arrived at 4.45 and was greeted with "you are very early" found it hostile. Remember folk are on holiday. I get enough hostility at work.

We got a lovely warm welcome by Matt on arrival. He explained about the facilities and about the area. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was yummy. In a good central location close to the centre of Keswick which made it handy for us for going off walking. Room was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. I would look to stay there again when visiting Keswick.

The only negative was the shower pressure but we were still able to get washed okay.
