The room was great for the price, and it's well situated, not too far from Lancaster. Has everything you need for a nights stay. Could go on nice walks along the canal and it was nice to have the restaurant.

Only a mild complaint - breakfast - i ordered the vegetarian breakfast. It came with "vegetarian sausages" which were those potato and veg type/ similar to a glamorgan. I just think in this day and age (with all the good alternatives) a vegetarian sausage should be a good protein equivalent to a sausage e.g. quorn - otherwise you just eating more potato. I also found i could hear noise from the corridor and adjoining rooms quite clearly. Saying that, I did sleep very well so it didn't disrupt too much.

Rural setting next to a lock. Well appointed establishment. Plenty of parking. Wifi was excellent. Dinner menu was varied and our meals were fine and reasonably priced. Excellent cooked breakfast alongside the option of cereal, yoghurt or fruit. Staff were friendly and informative.

In room 6 there were no sockets near the bedside for phone charging etc. There were 3 sockets near a large dresser/table. One for the lamp, which was needed as the it was quite dull lighting in general, leaving only one free socket for watch charger/pc charger/phone charger for 2 of us. From the M6 you need to go via Galgate and the road is single track in many places ( you may want to navigate in the daylight) - this was the downside of being in such a lovely rural setting.

Like the bar area and dining area overlooking the canal .Like the actual location 4 or 5 miles outside Lancaster in a quiet location ..The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers.. Lounge and bar are comfortable

we have stayed at the inn numerous times and the quality of food was not quite at the level it has been previously and there were no specials available . In our bathroom there was no safety mat in the shower/bath. There was noise from sorrouding bedrooms during the night .in our room.especially from the floor above

This was our second visit of the year. We love the overall location which is next to a canal and lock and it’s lovely and quiet. We had excellent weather and sitting in the garden area with a drink was really good. The staff are really helpful and friendly and service in the restaurant was very good. Rooms are clean and have all you’d expect.

Small things. The location can be a bit tricky, so watch how your satnav guides you as there’s a B road that’s often used by tractors - the staff are great if you call them for guidance. The only other thing is we found the bed in our room very soft which is fine but, we need a firmer one.

We stopped off on a long drive, so the location close to the motorway was very handy but the Mill is in a quiet rural spot so no traffic noise! our bed was comfortable, and the on-site restaurant was very convenient for dinner. Overall it was better than I expected for the price we paid!

We ran out of hot water in the evening of our stay, but it was back up and running in the morning. And our room was quite cold when we arrived (though it warmed up when we turned the radiators on!) with quite a lot of wind noise from draughty windows

The hotel is superbly situated for walkers being right alongside the Lancaster canal and close to Glasson Docks coastal footpath. Our stay was comfortable, the location is peaceful and we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast, which was included in the price, was excellent. The breakfast room overlooking the lock has a nice ambience and one can often see a heron seeking its breakfast also. Our room (16) was large and airy with a pleasant view down the canal.

The bathroom which whilst spotlessly clean and fresh was starting to show its age with some discolouring of the tiles and grouting.

We arrived later than expected but were still able to have a meal thanks to kindly staff. Room was excellent and spotless.

We felt breakfast was a bit minimalistic. We both had a cooked breakfast but it seemed quite sparse. One slice of toast . On leaving we asked a member of staff how to access M6 from the hotel and he said he wasn't sure and to use our satnav. We felt it would have been helpful to verbally give us this information. As it turned out our satnav took us all the way back through Lancaster. We stayed at your hotel as a stopover for the airport so we were conscious of our time scale.

Dinner was nice with a nice selection of local produce. Room was very clean with a comfy bed , large TV , great shower (in bath). Staff were attentive and well trained . Reception showed me that where I parked my motorbike was covered by their CCTV

They could have at least one ground anchor so I could have secured my motorbike with my chain. Breakfast was ok but could have been cooked to order a bit better , bacon seemed to be cooked then placed under heat lights to keep warm (I did sit down at 7am , when they start breakfast). The non cooked breakfast was limited . Service was good

All very comfortable, would just have preferred a bigger window that opened and a king sized bed. The food in restaurant was excellent, we even returned after moving on to our next destination, to eat at the restaurant again. Perfect location for a canal walk to Glasson and surrounding area.

Nothing really, although the lady who served breakfast did make us feel a little guilty as she pointedly stated that she had been in since 7am and everyone seemed to be arriving for breakfast at the same time (8.30 ish).

have stayed here before and rebooked because we knew we could expect a lovely room and excellent food. They cater for my coeliac diet well without making you feel you are causing a problem lots of choice for dinner. location great worth 20mins drive from motorway feels like a break rather than a pitstop. Staff are lovely very friendly.

Marked facilities down by 1 because on both occasions we have stayed that there are no sockets near a mirror for hair drying/styling, which seems strange for a wedding venue. On this occasion the room we were in had a lovely dressing area with large floor standing mirror no sockets and poor lighting. would still stay here again though.
