The staff were superb and couldn't do enough for you. They were so friendly and helpful. The welcome drink on arrival was very welcome indeed! The breakfast was superb and of very high quality - the best breakfast we have had in a hotel! The 'Jo Loves' toiletries in the bathroom were lovely also.

I felt the room was very small and the mattress was hard and sloping down towards your head which was annoying. I expected the bed to be really comfortable but was disappointed. The climate control pad in the room was complicated and you couldn't seem to alter the temperature or just simply turn it off! The control pad stay lit all night which affected sleep. Both myself and my husband hardly slept. Also, we stayed on a Monday evening and the hotel bar was closed which was disappointing. I have never stayed at a 5 star hotel before where you are unable to visit the bar no matter what night you stay. As this was an expensive hotel to stay at, it is only for these reasons that we have marked it down from excellent.

the surrounding area was a little intimidating after dark, which led me to feel a bit unsafe. Also there was no Gym at the hotel which was a bit surprising

It was our first time staying at the Stock Exchange and I wanted to book a nice place to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday - the staff welcomed us upon our arrival and took our car to the private parking area, we were offered complimentary champagne and walked up to our room by a nice gentlemen named Nigel who told us about the heritage of the hotel! We stayed in the suite with a terrace and was blown away by the amenities! Lovely staff, lovely environment and such an amazing experience!

We ordered dinner the first night and I was a bit disappointed with the room service, particularly the steak but the rest of the food was lovely!

The staff were all so attentive, loved how upon check in we were brought into the welcome room for a glass of champagne, a lovely touch and unexpected. Ben or Dan (sorry can’t remember his name) was so lovely and gave us a tour of the hotel explaining all the history which we loved! The vault bar was a real highlight, so cosy and romantic and again all the staff were amazing in there. The room was lovely and modern, loved the touch of fresh milk in the fridge! Bed extremely comfy too. We both left thinking this is our new favourite hotel in Manchester as we were so impressed! Only thing I think that would make it even more exceptional would be having an operating restaurant as the dining area is so beautiful.

The live music that came on in the bar wasn’t very good, ruined the atmosphere for me and could’ve been better.

Beautiful History to the building / hotel. Friendly and attentive staff all around. Cleaning services completed early in the day, including turn down service too. Top-ups of water, coffee, amenities in the bathroom where always available. Spacious rooms. Wonderful speakeasy bar in the hotel as well. Amazing location (dead center of the city)

We tried breakfast once, i wouldn't say i didn't like it, but had higher expectations. A La Carte menu was basic and food was alright - expected more from the breakfast. Nothing at all except for the breakfast part.

The staff could not do enough for us, so attentive and helpful all the time. They would order taxis for us, collect food that we’d had ordered to the room and made lovely conversation with us every time we saw them. My husband is on crutches at the moment after having an operation and they did everything they could to assist him into the car, lift etc. just fabulous service! Obviously the location and hotel was stunning, the suite we were in was beautiful and clean, the cleaners couldn’t come in one day as my husband was taking a nap so they made an effort to come that evening instead.

Staff were exceptional - couldn't do enough to help you from the moment we checked in and were greeted with a welcome drink. Room was stunning and i really liked the look and feel of the design. Lots of nice little touches and the location of the hotel is perfect for exploring all Manchester city centre has to offer. Also minutes from the trams and train station so perfect base to explore. Both the bar off the restaurant and the basesment snug were great fun with different drinks. As you can tell I really enjoyed our two days here - I actually have wanted to stay at Stock Exchange for a while and after attending Gary Nevilles Q&A with the Chamber of Commerce was excited to see it all in person. To think this was bought in basically 24 hours it shows a snap decision can be best!

Bar times for the snug were relatively short but i believe are longer at the weekend. We did manage to enjoy a drink there as we arrived not long before final orders.

The Stock Exchange is a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Manchester. It's modern but still manages to pay homage to its history.which can be seen throughout the whole of the hotel The accommodation is spacious,luxurious, and well equipped with all of your needs, including some luxuries.. The staff are warm and welcoming whilst maintaining high standards throughout our entire stay. The night staff supported my individual needs, and nothing was too much trouble. We dined at the Tender restaurant in the hotel . Whilst dining, we listened to live violinists. The food was delicious. Afterwards, we retired to the bar lounge, where we finished our evening with a few drinks. We definitely we be staying again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, we couldn't fault them at all. The breakfast (pancakes) were exceptional, but were so filling I was unable to finish them!!

It's not the hotels fault. However, there was overnight work on the street, and the noise of the crane kept my husband awake throughout the night. My husband informed the staff, who advised him that the hotel should have been informed but were not. Maybe the hotel should be a little more proactive their side and, therefore, place guests away from the area that has night work. For this reason, I have given an overall rating of 9. Otherwise, it would have been a 10.

Common areas look great, restaurant space looks amazing, friendly staff (especially Micha on the front desk who went out of her way to help), smooth departure, lovely ala carte breakfast, welcome drink, Whatsapp Virtual Concierge

Allocated an Accessible Room which was disappointing (after we arrived early but then didn't see the room until late in the evening when we returned) as it had very low height vanity & mirrors and lacked furnishings expected in the room (staff tried to make it up to us in other ways after initial complaint (particularly Micha) which was much appreciated), disorganised arrival, messages from WhatsApp Virtual Concierge not getting through to hotel staff.
