The rooms although quite small were perfectly adequate for us, everything we needed for our stay. Very comfortable bed and great nights sleep had, powerful shower and a great breakfast included in the price. We also had a family meal in the hotel, lovely halloumi fries to start, lasagne and salt and pepper chicken for mains and the chocolate brownie for desert, all delicious.

The extractor fan was not working in the bathroom, which resulted in it getting quite warm, but we forgot to mention it while we were there as everything else was perfect.

We stayed in the one bedroom chalet and it was absolutely lovely! The view was fantastic, the bed was so comfortable and the space was perfect for me, my husband and our 2 small doggies. The management team is so pleasant, the food is brill and the village where it’s located has some of the nicest people! Locay is close to Wast Water which is an absolutely magical place!

The only minor thing we were disappointed at was upon moving in to the chalet, we found that it wasn’t cleaned properly. There were used bottles of drink in the mini fridge and the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly as it still had remnants of whoever used it last. But it was minor and didn’t spoil our stay.

Absolutely stunning location. The pod was brilliant! Was great to have our own space and the terrace area was fabulous for a peaceful morning brew from our room and a evening glass of wine in our own space after long walks. Perfect for our dog, as he had his own gated off grass space infront of the pod so he could relax and play and we didn't have to worry. The staff were so friendly and welcoming couldn't fault them. The bar and restaurant were well presented and a nice place to go and unwind. It's within walking distance of a village shop and local pubs. Food was lovely as well - home cooked chips were beautiful... But the Pod we stayed in was the highlight! Would 100% come back again, was a great place! Thank you to the staff and team!

Bed was slightly uncomfortable but was more than accommodating for our weekend stay - but wouldn't say it was a massive negative

Beautiful spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable bed. Staff were just amazing, nothing was too much for them, so helpful. Breakfast was very tasty, quick and hot! We had a meal here and I can so recommend the food, I ate the sea bass, best I've had yet! My daughter had a dirty burger and also said it was the best she's eaten. The playpark is really really good, you need this and it's very rare to find a park like this at any accommodation. I cannot fault this hotel at all, I really have thought of any negatives .. nope.. not one. You will not be disappointed staying here.

We didn't like having to come home. Our younger daughter offered to pay with her pocket money for an extra night!

We stayed in one of the lodges and wow it was perfect. Cleaned daily all the facilities you needed. The view was just stunning. Breakfast was included and great choice available. Catered for allergies well as I'm coeliac it can be an issue but they had gluten free breakfast on menu Ate in evening x2 food was lovely again gluten free, vegetarian and vegan catered for. Plenty of choice. Staff always friendly and polite will definitely be booking in here next time we visit family.

In all honesty there was nothing we didn't like about our stay,

The room was spacious. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were all so friendly & knowledgeable, nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was delightful & there was a great choice available. Prices were really reasonable. Their bar was well stocked, too. It was nice to see a mix of locals in the bar as well as guests. It felt a good atmosphere. Dog friendly & made to feel welcome.

The only thing I would pick as "could be improved" would be, as our room was on the ground floor, unless we closed the curtains, people using the cut through could see in. Maybe a voile or a net curtain at the window would help obscure the view in.

Food was great and staff were helpful. We missed breakfast so they made us a sandwich to take out. Stayed in the Pod and it was great. I'd certainly recommend this place. We stayed as a couple for an ultra run which took us up scafell pike and surrounding areas so location was perfect.

If I had to be really picky, I'd say a little window blind on the toilet window as you can see from the outside. And keep the restaurant open a little longer perhaps as we missed the opportunity to grab an evening meal.

The property was amazing we had everything we needed if not more for a family of 4 and our little Chihuahua, the room was very clean and spacious we did ask for an extra bed and got one straight away, the breakfast was amazing and enough choice for us all well worth it and the lovely gentleman who served it was very polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble, the outside park and beer garden is brilliant for people with kids couldn’t ask for more we will definitely be back and have already recommended to others

The staff were very friendly and provided a good service on a very busy night. Our stay was upgraded to a camping pod, which was great and very warm. My only negative was that the bed was a little small and soft, which, of course, is a personal preference. However the underfloor heating was excellent, as was the shower, and it was very clean. The food in the bar and the breakfast were very good and Gosforth is a lovely village with easy access to Wastwater.

Incredible place to stay, homely and warm , lovely staff very friendly and helpful,our room was incredible in every way it was immaculate our bed was so comfortable, everything you needed was catered for and more.we had a full Scottish breakfast there are many choices,it was the best breakfast we have ever had, and we were able to take our wee dog with us too,brilliant service and the staff were lovely Thank you.We will most definitely be returning,we would highly recommend The Kellbank.
