A pleasant homestay in a good central location. The owner was kind - offering advice on what to do in the area and making us tea randomly. The included breakfast of eggs and baguette and fruit was good. Also the coffee that comes with breakfast is real vietnamese coffee and not instant. The dorm room was fine with curtains around the beds and outlets at every bed (although no shelf). The owner arranged transport back to Hanoi from the hostel for 250k. The view of the rice fields from the common area was nice too.

There were a few unanticipated costs added to the bill at checkout which seems to be pretty normal in Vietnam. The prices were undisclosed upfront such as bike rental for 50k and a second coffee at breakfast for 20k. I would gladly pay these anyway I just don't like being surprised.

Everything! The best host we've had in 2 months of travelling around SE Asia! Dan is super welcoming and a heartfull host, the property is set in a quiet place in Tam Coc centre, we rented bikes, motorbike and book transportation for our next destination always with him, and everything went extra smoothly. We even got the flu during a couple of days and Dan went beyond helpfull always giving us some herbal teas everyday. We truly loved that place. If you're looking for a place to stay in Tam Coc and explore the area, this is the place without a doubt. Thank you Dan!

Mr Dan was a really lovely host and made me feel immediately at home! He dropped me at the bus stop when I checked out and had even brought a bottle of cold water for my journey, very thoughtful. I rented a bicycle at the homestay so it was super easy to get to Mua caves and Trang An. The location is also great for food, all the restaurants in Tam Coc are a couple minutes away. The room was super clean and comfortable. I also had laundry done and it was returned to me within a few hours. Breakfast was fresh and nice.

Only complaint is that I had the room closest to reception so it was a bit noisy at times during the day from music or other people. This was never a problem for sleeping though, it was always very quiet after 10pm.

Our stay at Tam Coc Rice fields Homestay was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The hospitality of the family was unmatched – they were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. The room and surroundings were spotlessly clean, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The family is super friendly, making us feel like part of their home. Booking trips, bikes, or motorbikes was effortless as they organized everything for us with ease. It really took the stress out of planning. The homestay is set in a peaceful and beautiful location, surrounded by stunning rice fields and serene nature. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. If you’re looking for a quiet and authentic experience with outstanding service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended! We can’t wait to come back!

The place is a one minute walk from Tam Coc Lake with a beautiful view on the rice fields. As it is not in the center it allows one to truly breathe in and relax. Then, if you wish to go to a more lively place, you can reach them within a short walk. For more mobility it is possible to rent a bicycle (50k) or even a motorbike. The bathroom in the dorm is quite typical with no clear separation between the toilet and the shower. Dan is an excellent and kind host with many tips for the area and is even a master at chinese chess.

Tam Coc RIce Fields Homestay was a great place to stay in. It is located a few blocks off the Main Street, but very central and easy walk from drop off point if travelling by bus.Just opposite are the rice fields and views of the mountains(small hills nearby) Dan was the perfect host. Nothing was too much much trouble. Anything from tips on local attractions, renting a motorbike, tour bookings, car or airport drop off and restaurant recommendations. He is very full of local knowledge and happy to help in any way. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and a decent size(I was in the mountain view room)The breakfast is basic but sufficient and it alternates each day. There is tea/coffee and water available as well. If I was going to visit Tam Coc again, this is where I would be staying. Dan is your man so don’t hesitate to book this accommodation. You won’t regret it.

Greta location just outside Tam Coc. Location is a great base point for all activities around the area. Was lovely to be greeted by the two friendly pups on arrival. Owner Mr. Dan and his family were very helpful and looked after us throughout the stay with organising motorbike rental and bus to next destination (although this bus left us way outside the centre so would just clarify the drop off point in future). Rooms were good, had everything we needed. Clean and AC was great in the 40 degree heat! Breakfast was good every morning too.

One of the best homestays I have stayed in Vietnam. It has a chilling and relaxing ambiance around the homestay. The rice paddy view is nice. I was originally planning to stay for a couple of days but ended up staying here for one week. Due to the cold weather, I spent most of my time in the homestay and chill with the people staying there. There are two cute little puppies that keep me entertained. The breakfast is Banh Mi and the next day is pancake, vice versa. Mr. Dan, a great and helpful host that has a lot of advice for the guests. Probably all your problems will be solved with Mr. Dan helps. I will definitely come back again!!

I arrived earlier then expected and super ill He woke up and gave me a private at a very cheap price. The room was amazing. comfortable and cheap. Hot water, space and it was a good place to get better (from food poisoning) The breakfast was good, very filling and the location very close but just away from everything. He is a lovely person, very helpful and genuine. When my bicycle broke, he came to the rescue quickly with a new one.

I didn't get to know or spend much time socialising with the host as I was ill which is a shame

Great home stay experience. Clean, comfortable accommodations with a beautiful local family. Dan, the host, gives genuine good advice and assistance to enjoy your visit to the area. The Tam Coc area provides an easily accessible view of dramatic karst topography with both cultivated and water filled valleys.Dan likes to practice his English and can suggest nearby attractions and suitable transportation such as bike, scooter or tour and even arranged my onward travel. Ricefields Homestay faces a quiet rice paddy with the unique hills behind. It is 200m from the highway bus stop in the town center. You can enjoy free breakfast or game of 8-ball with freshments!

Everything was perfect. I had a private room with a comfortable double bed, but I did notice my cabin could benefit from a mirror.
