The host family is extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast was abundant, delicious and filling. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The mattress was very comfortable and the AC was powerful but working quietly. WiFi was fast and reliable. The homestay is perfectly located with "city center" within walking distance, but quite and relaxed during night time. Scooter rental was good and affordable.

The pool was very dirty and needs a thorough cleaning. We didn't use it therefore. Laundry service prices was above the local average.

A wonderful stay with great value! The location offers reliable internet access and is in an excellent data area for Viettel and Vinaphone SIM cards. The hotel is easy to find, very clean, and professionally maintained, with a lovely pool. They offer laundry service and excellent bike rentals at very affordable prices. The owner is so accommodating, super helpful and attentive, If you’re on a budget, this is the perfect choice. They also offer scooter rental which was such fun and enabled us to get about and see the area.

lovely area, lovely owners! so helpful and nice, while he didn’t speak much english he was very determined with the google translate and helped us learn a bit of vietnamese. seemed like a family business which was nice, and he stayed up till 4 am so we could arrive after our night bus. bed/mat to sleep on in reception of early check in isn’t available for your room. Incredible breakfast spread!!! coffee, juice, fruit, bread, vegetables and the option of either eggs, shakshouka eggs or pancakes :)) he was so sweet and was very friendly

The homestay is 200meters from Tam Coc center, surrounded by cafes and restaurants, 400 meters from the Bear Laundry which can be essential when you catch the rainy days here. The family can arrange you anything, we rented motorbike from them. The owner is a really nice guy with a great smile snd laugh, and he is the master of google translate communication:).

Terrace chairs could be a little more comfortable but it is just my addiction to have a nice relax on your terrace. Plus one note: since the bathroom wall is completely transparent with some curtain you should share the room with a person where this is not a problem:)

The family was kind and accommodating. Breakfast was such a spread - in addition to whatever we chose (shakshuka/pancakes/bahn mi), there's fresh banana, watermelon and passion fruit juice provided every morning plus coffee or tea. Since I was not too well, I took ginger tea every morning and I was given an entire bottle of fresh honey to help myself. They'd give us bottles of water whenever they saw us leaving. On the last night we wanted to try the local rice wine but couldn't find it in the nearby restaurants. So they gave us some of their homemade rice wine to try, no charges. It was very potent and fragrant. They went out of their way to arrange an early morning taxi for us to go to Trang An and also helped arrange transport back to Hanoi. We loved the size of the room and even the bathroom was very spacious. The rooms are little bungalows so there's lot of privacy. In addition to the Aircon, a fan was also provided. There was also a clothes rack. Pool was clean, large and quiet mostly. Don't expect to see manicured grounds though. It's a homely homestay.

Tam Coc itself was a little dirty; there was frequent burning of what seems to be rubbish so do expect smoke from time to time. The occasional fly will interrupt meals even at al fresco restaurants.

Ruby the owner will do all that it takes to make you happy and satisfied. He is always welcoming you with his smile. The rooms were just what we expected - not too fancy but completely enough for what we needed. The AC worked perfectly. We stayed in the homestay during a local holiday and the whole Tam Coc was full, which caused frequent electricity falling. Every time it happened, Ruby ran straight to his generator and you hardly felt that something happened.

What an amazing stay at Ruby Homestay! Ruby was the happiest and kindest man we have ever met. Always smiling and happy to help with anything we needed. He helped us arrange transport to Ha Long Bay and even at 6:30am he cooked us breakfast and boxed it up for us to take on the bus. Ruby also taught us some Vietnamese! The location is perfect and the bungalows are a great size and very comfortable. I would recommend Ruby Homestay to everyone and we would love to return in the future. If you need a place to stay in Tam Coc this is the place!

An excellent location (away from the mains street but very close to walk to restaurants ect), spacious room, and a lovely pool, but most of all, the wonderfully happy hosts!- They are helpful, kind and funny, will make you laugh and will make your stay in Tam Coc (these people are in the right business!!)

Just could have done with a bench or similar to place our luggage or clothes.

Ruby and his wife are so adorable. They make you feel like at grandparents home. Ruby has 70 beehives and offers fresh honey in the morning on the banana pancakes. Ruby is laughing all the time, we talked via google translator. They were super helpful. They are so sweet and I will remember always these good souls. Thank you!

If you want luxury or 5 star hotel, then this is too simple for you. It is simple small summer house, with extra super size bed, hot water, AC , not enough place to put your clothes, but this is no big deal. You have pool, nice smiling host, good breakfast, perfect silent location, yet center is very near. And rooster who will sing you many lullabies im the night until morning😂

Our host was super nice. The enviroment and the garden looks really cool, and it's in a slow and quiet street next to the lake, but also close to the center. Good coffe shop. The infra red shower heater was unexpected, and I absolutely loved it.

Everything was fine, but I think the laundry service could be a bit cheaper.
