The information provided when booking the room about which ferry to take could be clearer. If you're traveling without a car, it’s more convenient to take the Sealink service, as it’s faster and the ferry terminal in Townsville is more accessible by bus. If you’re bringing your car to the island, you should take the Magnetic Island Ferries service. Both ferries arrive at the same terminal on Magnetic Island.

The room was massive! And exceptionally clean. A small resort that has been well taken care of over the years. The staff were all so friendly and took great pride in the property. It offered privacy and quiet while being just a short walk from stores and easily walkable from the ferry terminal. Easy access to the bus stop as well, one block back from the beach. Great AC and fans, plus everything you'd need to cook, and a beautiful little outdoor table and chairs. Will definitely be recommending this spot to friends and family for future visits.

The design of the open top bathroom. Wasn't an issue for us, but might not be everyone's thing. It was easy enough to sit outside and enjoy a beverage if someone wanted complete privacy.

We had an amazing time on magnetic island staying at island leisure resort! The team was lovely, they made us feel very welcomed and gave us many useful tips. The pool area in the resort is a nice place to relax and in general all the common areas are very inviting. The room was spacious and clean and the kitchen featured everything we needed. Location is great as well, close to the ferry and some supermarkets. The bus stop is right in front of the resort and makes it super easy to get around the island. Overall had a perfect stay and would come back here anytime! Thanks for having us

The resort was wonderful. Very nice pool and a Tennis court and games room for entertainment. The rooms are very nice complete with a small kitchen for cooking meals. Air conditioning worked great and the staff were very helpful. Would recommend as a place to stay while on Magnetic island.

The location was in a quieter part of the island a long bus ride from Horseshoe bay, however there are still lots of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Just be aware that most restaurants close by 8pm on the island so you may need to eat earlier while staying here.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early which was a lovely surprise. We were given some tips on things to do and see nearby and a map and bus timetable when we checked in which I really appreciated. The room was spacious and comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and the tennis court and the games room. I would recommend this resort.

Would have liked more than one tiny shampoo and conditioner for a 4 night stay.

Very well quipped with pretty much everything we needed. It was clean with good water pressure in the shower. The apartment was very spacious with lots of room for luggage etc. The pool area was nicely kept and the water very warm. The local bus stopped a few minutes walk up the road. The port is a shortish walk away with a really good supermarket there. There is a small supermarket at the end of the road close to the resort but we found little we wanted there and preferred the supermarket opposite the ferry.

Internet more woe-fi than wi-fi but likely this was due to magnetic island reception rather than the fault of the property.

Easy walk or bus ride from the ferry terminal. Super friendly and helpful staff. Close to the bus stop that takes you basically everywhere on the island. Nice to have laundry facilities and a pool. Room was big with lots of kitchen basics. Very close to the main supermarket.

There are curlews that intermittently call in the middle of the night and woke me up a lot. Nothing that the hotel can do but be sure to bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper!

The property was clean, well maintained and bins and facilities were easily located and easy to dispose of and was kept tidy at all times.. the pool area was beautifully presented and very clean. Only a few minutes walk to the beach

The only thing we found was the shower pressure was low compared to the kitchen tap pressure but we had hot water other than that everything had all we needed for a comfortable trip.

We had actually booked into Selina in Horseshoe Bay for the 5 nights. This is clearly a place for backpackers which is great if you are a backpacker. We decided to look elsewhere for the final 3 nights , losing what we had paid We came across Island Leisure and it was well with the move Great rooms , location excellent and staff , we only met the lady at reception who was doing a lot of other things was extremely welcoming. Will recommend this place to whoever asks

stylish designed self contained rooms, well presented clean and has your own private balcony area set in Lucius tropical gardens. Resort is within walking distance to restraunts, ferry terminal and local attractions and a busy atop just meters down the road. The resort has a large swimming pool, play area and a kiosk for all essential snacks. We were welcomed by friendly caretaker who also aloud us to check in early as room was ready. We were given information about the resort and what it offer’s and a booklet about the island and how to get around. We will defiantly be back and strongly recommending this resort.
