Super spacious and comfortable, great location, easy parking, great staff, nice toiletries provided, REALLY comfortable bed, plenty of tea, coffee and milk provided. I absolutely would stay again, especially considering the free upgrade!

Minor: the only thing that needed improvement was the dishwasher - we put it on and it didn't clean, so we put it on again and still didn't do a good job - the crockery we put it in wasn't exactly caked in grime, and washed off without effort when we eventually just did it by hand. And the wheels on the drawer buckled when you loaded it - whole thing needs replacing. That was the only nuisance though, everything else was wonderful.

We, two seniors, booked into Dolphin Lodge for 2 nights and after picking up the keys we were instructed to go to Monets on Middleton, 2 doors down. It definitely was an upgrade as there were 3 bedrooms upstairs (only used one) and a Spa (which we didnt use) Everything neat and tidy, clean linen and comfortable bed. It was cold the first night but then found the oil heater for the second night. The apartment had every thing needed.

We did ask for a ground floor room but fortunately we arent that old to manage the stairs! Only 2 small complaints. The floor mat in the lounge room had one edge folding over and I almost tripped on it. Easy for someone to fix. The kitchen sink tap was leaking a bit.

I travel a lot for work and have stayed in many nice hotels and apartments, including for example The Fullerton in Sydney. This is up there with the best. It was perfect! Location was spectacular, it was immaculately clean, it had every facility and was incredibly comfortable. It felt homely and I slept deeply. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I didn't want to leave.

I'm just being nitpicky but when I was running a little late to check in and I let them know the response was a little abrupt. This isn't a big deal at all. The place was magnificent and I had an incredibly wonderful stay.

Everything here was great. Well appointed and clean 2 bed apartment perfectly fit the family, and had all the little things we needed (toiletries, tea/coffee, dishwasher) but felt independent and private like a holiday house. Location right near the beach and a fish n chip shop, ice cream window, and cafe was perfect for a long weekend with the kids. The staff were friendly from what I could tell - check in and out was super easy and we didn't have any issues we needed to approach them about so my interactions were minimal but positive. For the price point it was far above what I had hoped for and we will be back again.

Struggling for a negative - one couch was a little bit droopy in the middle (especially compared to the other which was super comfy!).

The location was near Middleton Beach. It was slightly too long to walk into town for us (from memory about 4K), but there is a nice walk around the headland in the direction of town. We were travelling around WA and didn't know the Albany area at all, We were very pleased with the Middleton Beach area. We were in a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment in the main block. We had a car and used the car park. Room clean, good shower, and a nice kitchen all suited our needs. The outside area of the apartment was shaded but still pleasant for our stay in March. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Property was located in a great spot and very neat and tidy.

Parking was very tight. Upon check in we were labelled the “rugby group” and due to some issues last year for the same comp we needed to pay an extra deposit?? We didn’t go last year and was disappointed to be put in a category that we were going to mess the place up. Person behind counter said “you guys messed the place up last year” Not a nice way to start out holiday. Other than that staff were friendly. Also property was a bit pricey for what it was.

Fantastic spot - can’t be beaten for location and value. The hosts were very welcoming and the property spacious, characterful and sparkling clean, with lots of thoughtful amenities. Clearly the hosts have put a lot of thought into the place. The best part was the location - close to town, only a short walk to the beach and nice cafes and restaurants around the corner. Really great value for money. Will definitely come back!

Unfortunately the heat pump didn’t work so we were very cold! Fortunately the place came with plenty of blankets but this alone stopped us from giving it a 10. The oven was also difficult to work as the button labels have rubbed off. I thought I’d been cooking dinner for some time only to realise it hadn’t heated as it appears you need the timer on for it to work. That could easily be addressed with clearer instructions, however.

We love Albany and especially Middleton Beach. Dolphin Lodge is perfectly placed at Middleton Beach, a stunning long white beach with Ellen Cove tucked under the edge of Mt Clarence. Great dining places nearby, peaceful, pleasant and relaxed. Our apartment was lovely, comfortable and very well equipped for self sufficiency; close to eating places, mountain treks and beach walks, swimming.

No staff on hand upon arrival so locating our apartment was not easy. Luckily for another two groups, we had stayed in the area before and were able to direct them to their rooms as well. I would like to suggest that placing a directive plan near where room keys are picked up, would be a great improvement. The plan at present is tucked away in another building which we came across by accident.

the annoying people staying in the room next door that decided their car needs to take up 2 car park spaces and I didnt want to listen to their karaoke singing. The rooms are a bit dated - dark timber from the 70's and pink tiles. At some stage they need repaint and update which would be good. Can you believe .. supermarkets not open on a Sunday??? However IGA is open. The local markets average.
